I bought 2 Bridgestone run flat tyres at a cost of £568 (after checking online for cheap places the last time I had a puncture they showed up as cheapest).
When I returned home I checked their online prices again and found their own online price is £426 for exactly the same tyres.
Contacted their complaints department and they have no intention of honouring their online price.
Presumably the fitter is on a huge hourly rate as he spent all of 2 minutes entering the details on the computer.
Where is the justification in a £140 overcharge? On other review sites they have tried to back this up as covering overheads! Perhaps if they attracted more customers by acting fairly their overheads per tyre would not be near as high! No other companies charge huge variations between their websites and branches. It is even more disgusting that they act in this way as with a burst tyre you don't have too many options to go elsewhere after they tell you the higher price. False advertising... read more
