My experience here today at Native Roots on Pearl st was splendid. I had Charidy as my bud tender and she was an absolute joy and helped me greatly in finding what I wanted. Im very picky myself when it comes to the quality of my bud that I am smoking and Charidy was fantastic in helping me pick put what was best for me and really made the trip worth it. This is my second stop to a dispensary & I wish it was my first. Compared to the Boulder Wellness dispensary, this has more variety. They have smaller packages here which allowed me to get a variety of products. I was taken aback by the different popsicles, sodas, chocolates etc. etc. they had. Next time I'm in Boulder, this store will definitely be my first stop. Very clean, professional. People are very helpful and knowledgeable. I had higher expectations. Besides the place looking great the budtender we had was rude. You could tell she was in a hurry and she never made eye contact she wasn't really informative especially since it was our first time there. The gentlemen helping a couple there he was giving them the best service and super informative so big s/o to him. The prices were higher than most of the places we have been to. Being new to the cannabis culture I usually am so insecure about my lack of knowledge. I figured the best place to go when I'm in Colorado is a dispensary that they would have seen their fair share of newbies like me asking stupid questions and maybe acting a little nervous. I usually go months without smoking and then a friend will pass their joint or pipe to me and I'll take way too many hits and get crazy stoned and usually end up being paranoid. I told the bartender that I struggle with anxiety and he went through three different types that he would suggest be trying. He offered a harlequin that had a lower thc. I thought that would be my best bet. I bought a gram and he didn't make me feel like I was bothering him or I was stupid. Which is more a thing I put on myself than anything else. The bud itself was tasty and definitely some of the best I've had. After three hits I was extremely relaxed and aware of my surroundings in a calming way. I felt like I can go back home and have more control since I have more knowledge of what works and what doesn't. read more

Located slightly downstairs underneath a deli/restaurant I believe. Pretty close to the popular shops and places to visit, very convenient. Great, clean, modern, and friendly staffed dispensary! Also very knowledgeable and helpful about all products. I really like how each check out bay has all their products so you don't have to follow a person around the dispensary in order to view all the different products. Clearly a tourist trap where ripping off the gooey eyed, slightly terrified goon is the order of the day. These guys use classic yet cheap bait & switch advertising: offer July 4th specials for top shelf strains yet in reality they just have some low brow non-seller at the advertised price while everything you want is outrageous. It's the stuff of used car salesmen. Great for the short term but when word gets out about your lack of ethics you find yourself spending more time defending yourself than earning an honest dollar. Visited this shop a few days ago when in Boulder for a wedding. We really had a great experience! Greeted first by a nice young woman/employee when arrived. Then we were allowed in the back to shop which was clean & attractive. Desmon helped us. He was super friendly and fun! He made every effort to educate us on the products as this was our first visit to a dispensary! Answered all of our questions & shared info we didn't even know we wanted to hear lol! Shop is clean and modern (though claustrophobic), staff have always been friendly and kind. However, 60$ for an 1/8 is an absolute rip-off!!! I cannot believe this place can charge that much and stay in business. No one in Colorado should be paying more than 40$ per 1/8 and even that's a little high. read more

Have good product but everyone that works there is high and mighty. Their responses come off pretentious and douchey as if you're not worthy unless you spend your days stoned and reading up on all things bud. I understand a location right off Pearl St probably attracts a lot of tourists and they can get away with their holier than thou way of speaking down to people but I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. Update: I was able to talk to a manager today. She was able to arrange for me to pick up a replacement cartridge in Denver. I really appreciate the great customer service and the willingness to right the wrong. Went to native roots today for the first time while in boulder. Got a cartridge plus 3 other items - spent a total of $131. Just opened my bag and the cartridge case was empty! $50 for a package with nothing inside. I emailed them, as I am no longer in boulder, about refunding me. I will update if I get a response. read more

I've gone to Native Roots a few times now and they're alright, could be better. Their prices aren't bad especially for Pearl St, but their flower is all pre-packaged which I find tends to dry it out. My most recent purchase is a good example. I took out a bud to break it up and it just crumbled into almost a powder like consistency, now that's what I call dry. If they could just find a way to keep their flower from drying out so much I'd give them 5 stars. read more

By far my favorite dispensary in CO. The staff, Nan & Derrick namely, are always extremely helpful and fun to do business with. Once you get to the counter, the energy is super laid back and mellow and you do not feel like you're being rushed or pressured at all. Their selections are always the best and they are always sure to help you find exactly what you're looking for. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Native Roots Dispensery has a neatly designed store, well displayed products and slightly higher prices compared to other medical and recreational businesses in the area. Now on to the customer service portions, when a business posts their operation hours from specific time to specific time and said customers enter the building to purhase products during this time they should be treated with respect and excellent customer service. This being said Native Roots is not meeting this standard and should immediately retrain employees on good customer service skills if they want to keep business "cultivated" with all the local competition. Upon entry the first employee greeted my party with warm acceptance and said yes they were still open as it was 9:52pm, we passed our IDs forward and were promptly shown past the security door and into the product display room. This is where it went down hill. The employees rushed us and said no more transactions after this one, didn't ask us what we were interested in and simply kept stating the fact that we needed to hurry up and get out of their store. Rush rush rush and making snide remarks about the time. Bottom line if you're a business and you want return customers to sustain your business then your priority is first and foremost good quality service... this is a failure and the management needs to take it very seriously and retrain staff on appropriateness, if you're at a job to earn money from your employers then you should treat every customer like your bosses family... or find another job where you don't represent a business and your concern is yourself and your time and income. Arrived at this store 10 min before closing. Person who let me in said "no worries we will take care of you today". Patiently waited for my turn and than started to shop with the help of a counter person. Literally seconds before I was ready to pay, the same person who was going to "take care of me" tells me that it is past closing time and that I could not buy anything that day. I could come back in the morning or drive 40 miles to their other store which is open till midnight. They could have told me when i walked in that the purchase had to be made before 7 pm, that way I could have gone around the corner to another store. This store gets a big fail for lying to their customers. read more

Incredibly clean, very helpful staff and a very easy, slightly more upscale than others, experience. I love love love the native roots vape pen. The cannasap that goes along with it is good as well, but the pen itself is my favorite that I have tried. It's much more inexpensive than most, but it burns low and keeps everything tasting quite nice. I ordered one for my sister after buying ours because she loved it so much! Our favorite for smoking was the Bruce Banner (super fun and energizing) and the classic EdiPure gummy bears kept our heart rates down on a huge day of climbing. I am 67 and went in with my 39 year old daughter who has a Red Card and usually purchases in Denver. Although there was a wait to see a clerk, she was very knowledgeable, patient, and helped me choose products for chronic pain. I liked the shop and enjoyed the experience. So far, a patch that I got and some lotion/crème is wonderful and I will try to go back when I am ready for more. Yes- we did have to wait to be served, but it was not bad and it was a Saturday with a festival going on outside on the mall and everybody got a turn. The prices were what I expected. read more
