Overall great store for those looking for special health food at a reasonable price. Personally I don't do all my shopping here, as things can quickly add up for the average budget. The one thing I would highly recommend this store on is their reverse osmosis water filter action system. Very affordable and best tasting water of its type in town. I've been a couple other places with water filters and the perceived taste and quality doesn't even come close. An excellent service I hope they continue!! The one thing to watch out for is expiration dates, especially for items on sale; more than once, I have neglected to check the date on a clearance or sale product only to find out after the fact that it had expired. read more

This is a great example what a Health Food Grocery should be. And is my favorite in Lincoln area. Some apple cider vinegar and a gelato today. The store brand APC seems very good and some less $ than Braggs which has been my long time favorite. The SC Dolcezza gelato was suggested by staff assisting my search. Is pretty good but not the best gelato I've had. And I have not tasted many. read more

Love Natural grocers! They only carry organic produce, so you never have to worry about buying something non-organic when you come here. Their prices are decent on organic produce, they've been in business for years and go out of their way to offer a wide variety of products. They always have great sales and if you join their club you Allring your own water bottle to refill it here. They offer plenty of things for you to learn how to Ken, grow your own sprouts, make your own yogurt vegan or otherwise, it's all around cool. Plus the staff here is lovely, they are always so nice, warm, and welcoming. You owe it to yourself to upgrade your life and start treating your body like the temple it is. read more

Truly a wonderful atmosphere. I remember going to the original store in Lakewood Colorado and drinking a carton of Kefir under an Elm tree. I love the selection of nuts in the cooler section. We love natural grocers. The herbal bulk selection is our favorite and they have a great selection on items/ snacks not carried by other stores in the area. The staff and manager on our last visit were exceptionally kind and helpful in our efforts to switch to a more eco friendly water solution (avoiding plastic). Glorious. I sound like such a granola yuppie, but I've been dying for some kombucha. I stumbled in here earlier today and almost cried when I saw the beverage case. Yes! Glory! And they have the green algae with chia seeds! Yassss! Vegan things!! Yass!! Coconut flours and almond flours! Yaaaaasss! Everybody I ran into was super nice and helpful. The cashier and I joked about the power winds going on in Lincoln lately, and then just as I was outside loading my stuff into my car, my receipt not only blew away, it blew into the sewer. Gee. I went back in to get a reprint (because Kombucha = sanity and sanity is a legitimate business expense), and they were really nice about it. How does this place not get a 5? this place is awesome. Their prices are ridiculously cheap for what it is. This is like a whole foods with just as much selection. Warning: They don't give out bags, you need to bring your own (or buy one) much like whole foods. They do have a whole foods-y like selection, and they even have some local greek restaurant's greek style food prepared as well. I know this sounds a little basic, but it's a grocery store. I don't buy much groceries or food items here, but I do love the selection they have for naturals skin and body care. I have sensitive skin, especially when it comes to face washes and lotions, and I've been able to find products here that don't irritate. All the aisles that the supplements are in are labeled clearly with signs with the corresponding product right underneath them. It's very easy to find whatever you're looking for, and all the employees I've interacted with have all been pleasant and helpful, so if you can't find what you're looking for someone will be able to help you. Shopping for supplements here never feels like a chore because I can browse at my leisure since everything is laid out by type/purpose. They stock multiple brands and dosages of the supplements they have, so you can sort by price you want to pay or now many you want to buy at one time. I appreciate the bring-your-own-bag idea that cuts down on plastic and paper waste, but I also appreciate that they have bins of boxes near the check out for carting your stuff out of the store as well. Each time I've checked out at this store the cashier or employee helping to bag the items has offered to grab a box so I could carry my small assortment of items out. Fantastic store! Excellent produce. Hope it kills off the hole-in-the-wall called "Open Harvest". However, they do have some supply chain issues. I've been there twice looking for a particular bread product that they carry, only to be told that "We didn't get any on our Wednesday truck this week." They're going to have to do better than that if they want to compete against the coming Whole Foods. Also, whoever decided to face the store backwards (away from 48th street) needs to be fired ASAP. I shop here once or twice a month and every shopping experience is great. There are plenty of staff members who are very helpful and their selection of natural and organic products is fantastic. As an added bonus, their prices are not any different than getting the same, non-organic produce and items at a different grocery store. I'm always pleased with the quality of the produce I buy here. They also have a nice selection of natural soaps, bath products, and makeup. Additionally, they have a large assortment of cereals, jams, butters (peanut, almond, etc.), snacks, and sodas that are made with quality ingredients. I also really enjoy their pasture raised meat and dairy products. They have much better flavor than the feedlot alternatives! Overall, I highly recommend this place. As another reviewer has mentioned though, they do not have bags. They do have boxes though, so when you forget to bring bags, they'll just give you boxes. read more

Finding a fully organic store just across the parking lot from my hotel was a real big smile on my face I can tell you. I went in and got some great vegetables nice fruit and a quarter watermelon and I tell you I was set for breakfast that's for sure even for my midnight snack too. This place has got the works everything organic you can think of and of course all that organic vitamins and all the different flowers and everything you could possibly want in that zone. This was my first trip to Natural Grocers, I was excited because of the large variety of vegetarian options. I walked in and saw a few signs about masks, I was pretty impressed by the signs, there was even a sign on how to properly wear the masks. However, once I started shopping I encountered many customers not wearing masks which was super concerning as there is a city wide mask mandate and I take the coronavirus very seriously. I also found, as we are supposed to be social distancing, that the employees were standing in the middle of the aisles talking to one another which made it difficult to find products and keep my distance at the same time. If you want to buy anything you need to show your permit to the door guard! Was looking for a vitamin supplement for use with high doses of cholesterol medicine but was promptly turned away by the door guard as I did not have my permit to be in the store! Is this guy stupid? What store in this town does one need a permit to enter?? Don't worry about me going back there I would not recommend that store to anyone!! I have an I.Q. over 150, what kind of permit is needed ? One would have to be stupid to even try to go inside of that store!! Was looking for a vitamin supplement and called two days ago and someone told me to come and get it because she knew they have it. The one problem is that I did not have my stupid permit on me. Have been disabled for seven years and do not recommend anyone with a disability try getting past the door guard. That is one prejudice, screwed up store, and feel like filing an action but do not need to as found the supplement for a third Natural Grocers price on the internet delivered! No I do not have a (stupid) permit!! The door guard should be wearing one to warn possibly unsuspecting disabled old people they are absolutely not welcome and Mr. Door Guard needs a lesson,(Fired). Place has nice selection of organic items that may be more difficult to find elsewhere. The biggest drawback is that half of the store is made up of herbal supplements, so the actual grocery portion of the store is a lot smaller than you think it will be from the outside. Nice place, but it doesn't really stand out much vs. trader joe's, whole foods or even open harvest (local coop.) That is, unless you're looking for supplements, etc. read more

I have been in this store a few times. Getting to it isn't so bad if you know how to get there. That isn't hard. Staff is fantastic, very helpful and polite. They take time to answer your questions and let you compare products. I wish there were more of these stores. I have to drive from another town to get there but that's OK. I have bad good luck with everything I have purchased here. I price shop and there prices is comparable to whole foods. There fresh fruit and vegetables are not as great as whole foods however at the Lincoln location. Other than that it is a great place to shop! read more

Organic does not mean much to me but they do have cheap hummus, bulk spices and avocados. That's why I stop by sometimes. Smells like vitamins to me and i don't like the smell of vitamins. Yes, organic food costs more than non-organic food. Organic farmers are not receiving the big subsidies conventional farmers receive. However, many people have decided pesticide-free produce is worth the extra cost. Even regular grocery stores are carrying some organic fruits & vegetables. Natural Grocers not only has organic produce, they have many foods for people like me who have food allergies. This store has improved the quality of my life considerably! After shopping here for 6 months, I can eat so much better and safer now. Whole food cooking tastes better, and has given me so much more energy than I used to have that I can hardly remember when I felt bad every day. The meat selection at this store is amazing. I have read up on supplements that help me feel even better & this store has a huge selection. The prices are better here than other healthy stores in town. The staff is friendly and helpful. Natural Grocers is the main place I shop now and my quality of life is better than ever. I'm so full of energy that the slight grade in the parking lot is a total snap for me.
