I enjoy shopping at Sam's with my friends. We go to Costco as well and kind of compare things. One of my favorite parts about Sam's is the food court! I prefer the pizza here for example rather than Costco. I love the meat specialty pizza combo. Always so satisfying! The price isn't bad for a whole large pizza either! We visited sam's club as first time members. We had to go to customer service to get a card. Simple and no fuss. Hubby got his card within minutes i chose not to since the nice gentleman at the counter told me i can just do it on my phone to access different apps. Sam's club has a good variety of stuff. Some sugar free some not. Most stuff you purchase in bulk. Prices comparable to costco. Much better organized. Cheaper and better packed meat However, there is less ethnic stuff and less sugar free stuff than costco. We were also at the cafe Hotdog combo for 1.50 2 hotdog combos and a chocolate feozen yoghurt later, lunch is complete. Decent for under 5 bucks. Will definitely be back read more

Sam's Club located on the Southeast part of Lincoln is a very convenient all-you-need warehouse type store. While my wife and I stopped in specifically for fresh produce and eggs, we were also price checking things like printer ink and small office refrigerators. As always, the aisles were spacious and organized. The facility looked clean. The workers greeted us entering as well as exiting us from the store. A nice bonus was that, the day we went, Tuesday, July 6th, there was very few other customers in the store. Lovely! Was empty and easy with the scan and go. Was able to both get fuel and the few items we needed without any delay. They had everything stocked and the asiles seemed larger than most Sam's Clubs, which allowed enough room for multiple shoppers going different directions. Excellent, Nebraska-managed and staffed Sam's Club store. You ask any stocker on the floor about an item and they will cheerfully drop what they're doing and lead you to it. I asked about an item today, the stocker told me where it was, I said thanks, you don't need to lead me to it ... yet, when I found the item he poked his head around the corner of the aisle to see if I indeed found it. I waved, and said, "Thank you!" The fresh produce and meats are outstanding quality, and big savings over our local supermarkets ... if you can use the bigger quantities. It is a wholesale club, after all. Using the monthly sale booklets that come in the mail, I save about $20 (above the already low prices) on frequently purchased stuff, and big bucks on occasional one-time buys. We've been members for as long as the Sam's Clubs opened decades ago. Costco built a store here recently, I visited it during the open house, didn't see the stuff I like to buy or any price advantage, so sticking with Sam's Club. I've visited Costcos in Omaha, and in the Arlington VA area (daughter's home) and haven't been impressed. I think the glowing Costco reviews may be more politically-motivated than shopping motivated. read more

Signed up for a membership earlier in the week and stopped in 8/1. I love Sam's and have shopped here with my parents before for our everyday items! My fiancé and I decided to grab a cheap bite at the food court there. Susan was working the cashier that day and man was she awesome! Give this lady a reason or some sort of reward. She was kind, made sure to reach out if something was missing from out order, and then she even stopped by table to table to make sure everything was good and correct! Do Not ever buy tires here! They advertise service after the sale and to repair tires at no charge if they were purchased here., but that is not true. I had a nail in both front tires and brought my truck in to get both tires fixed. Because 1 nail was 1"closer to the side Wall than the other, they refused to fix it. I looked at the nail, it was NOT in tne sidewall and really not even close. SAM'S HAS MADE IT TOO DIFFICULT AND FRUSTRATING TO BUY TIRES HERE. AND TO MAKE IT WORSE, THEY KEPT ME WAITING 2 HOURS TO REPAIR I TIRE. read more

Its Sams Club. You buy in bulk here and it is encouraged to be a member to shop here. If you are NOT a member, you can still buy things at Sam's Club, they just add 5% to your bill at checkout. The produce is actually decent when fruit is in season. I regularly buy 18oz of raspberries or blackberries for $4-5 each. 2lbs of strawberries is $3-4 each. Dried fruit is also at a great price. 48oz of Crasins are $7 which is a third the price of grocery stores that often charge $2.50 for only 7oz. They also have decent prices on meat. 80/20 is usually $3-3.48 a lb. and 90/10 is usually $3.49-3.98 a lb. Other items that often are cheaper then grocery stores is trash bags, some frozen food items, milk, flour/sugar, vitamins, etc. You do have to know your prices, sometimes things like cereal, chips, alcohol, Movies, etc can be more expensive then sale prices at your grocery stores. Just pay attention to the price per oz and compare. One of the things that you may like or hate about Sam's Club is there is almost NOBODY working other then cashiers and 1-2 people at customer service. They operate on a pure skeleton crew so don't expect to find very many people to ask questions if you need any help. Also they are extremely busy on weekends so you may have some really long lines if you go on Saturday or Sunday. read more

Advantage Plus membership is a farce! Saturday, 8-6-16: We found out the south Lincoln Sam's Club Advantage Plus membership's "special" perks only apply when "they want it to". As long time members, the perk we paid extra for, (per the Sam's Club contract), allowed us to shop earlier than those with basic membership fees. Saturday, however, we were told to "go to the back of the line" of 50 others who chose to NOT pay the extra fee for this "perk" because they were running a store special. There have been many times, when they ran these specials, that they waved us on into the store ahead of the lines because of our membership, but not this Saturday! When talking with several associates working in their store, not even one of them had the ability to understand what their store's contract for Advantage Plus meant. We were also told we'd have to go back into the store in order to cancel our membership. Maybe it's time for a certain general manager named "Jeremiah" to do some "retraining" as his uninformed hired help just lost them another long time customer. Needless to say we didn't stand in line because of a couple of inept, uninformed employees. read more

My husband just received the most rude, inappropriate phone call from a Sam's employee. I had received an email asking my OPINION on a recent shopping trip. I wrote that I didn't like them pushing self-checkout and only having 1 employee on register. We have a business account in my husband's name, so he is the primary on the account. He received a phone call at work, tell him how my OPINION was wrong. Excuse me?? It's an opinion. If you don't want my feedback, don't email me a survey! The woman on the phone firmly told my husband they do not "push" self-checkout! That's funny! A few trips ago I was told by the middle aged store manager that simply EVERYONE loves self checkout, and apparently I'm the only one that doesn't. He went on to tell me how his wife uses it etc etc etc and ALL the customers just love it. And yes, you DO push self-checkout by only having 1 employee working on register. The alternative is waiting in a ridiculous line. Absolutely horrible and intrusive to receive a phone call to refute an opinion that the store requested!!!!! read more
