This week I decided to accompany my sister and my niece to hair study, I was getting myself in the good books. It is sleek and modern inside with a dark colour scheme that makes customers feel comfortable. The sister and niece both got haircuts, as it is their regular choice of hair salon the girls were Friend and knew them both by name. I was impressed with the way Charlene dealt with my niece, she felt at ease and was distracted by sweets and lollipops. To my surprise while I was in the waiting room of the salon a gent walked in and got his hair trimmed for £5. Which by modern standards is a bargain. I love t he friendliness of the salon and the individual treatment each customer receives. There is no quick turnover of staff which is reassuring for customers. It is easy to obtain an appointment with the hairdresser of choice and prices have remained realistic and within most peoples budget. There is always a nice atmosphere within the place and customers are always offered that welcome cuppa on arrival! When a salon can cater for three generations in the one family who are all satisfied customers , they must be doing something right!!

Total professionals and beauty therapy genius' offering a warm and friendly welcome. Just had the most relaxing facial of my life and the location was amazing. It is set in the countryside but only a 10 min drive outside of Carrickfergus. I could have stayed there all day. Loved it and will definitely be back. They offer all kinds of treatments that you would find in spas, such as waxing, massages, nail painting, spa pedicures etc. They have a jacuzzi and sauna area too which will be up and running in the coming months. About Face has the privilege over many of the salons due to the length of time they have been around for. I can remember them being here for the last 10 years at least, and nearly everyone (female!) I know has had at least one treatment with them. They offer a wide range of treatments such as facials, makeup lessons, manicure, pedicure, overlays, extensions, weight loss treatments, kids parties, bridal makeup and makeup lessons, gift vouchers, spray tanning, the list goes on! A nice touch also, is that they remember all of their clients at Christmas time by sending out a card. I like About Face a lot, and it would still be the salon I would consider first, out of the many salons now open in town.

After an absolute nightmare trying (unsuccessfully) for somewhere to fit me in for a cut and colour, Andrea's was suggested to me by one of my friends. They were able to fit me in, that was 7 years ago and I have never gone anywhere else since. Turns out they do a better job than any hairdresser I had ever been to before. They always seem to do my hair exactly the way I like it, and the colours are always exactly what I'm looking for. The prices are very reasonable and most importantly, the staff are really friendly and actually take the time to listen to exactly what their customers want.
