My experience with Christine and Justin for branding photos was phenomenal. We also did another session with my husband for fun. They made the whole experience professional and seamless, from start to finish. Christine is a naturally talented photographer and has an eye for detail and creativity. I would not recommend hiring Christine. I hired Christine for an extensive, posed family photoshoot as a gift to my grandparents for their 50th anniversary and wish I would have chosen a different photographer. Christine took the money, did the bare minimum, and provided poorly executed photos. Before hiring Christine, I informed her of my family's needs and expectations for the session, provided an example of the photos we needed, and informed her how large the family was. I stressed to Christine how important these photos were on more than one occasion. My entire family hasn't been able to come together and take pictures since the 90s, and this will likely never happen again due to health concerns. I explained that this was my grandparent's dying wish to get professional family photos together. She reassured me everything would be "awesome." I noticed red flags in her communication and during the session, such as not showing up early to scope out the best location like she said she would and forgetting to bring the requested chairs. I looked past these things and chalked it up to being human and making mistakes. However, problems continued during the session. Christine was snapping photos while people were not paying attention, and she didn't bother vocalizing to anyone when she was taking pictures. She also wasn't moving people around to balance out the photos. I specifically requested that she do both of these things before she was hired. I trusted the photos would still turn out great. However, the photos Christine captured were disappointing and embarrassing. Dozens of the pictures captured people not looking, not smiling, blinking; the faces of multiple people were blocked, people were fixing their glasses, and some faces were even blurred because they were moving. Several family members commented that Christine acted rudely and made snarky remarks during the session. When the photos were shared with me, I wanted to cry. I asked Christine for a resolution, but she refused. Christine refused to photoshop the images where people are blinking and not looking or smiling, offer a partial refund, or take any blame for her failed execution. She didn't even offer a different resolution of her own. Not only did she refuse to help, but she insisted she met her obligations. She was quick to reference her contract instead of offering to help make things right. She pointed out that in her contract, it was not her obligation to follow our list, make sure people were looking at the camera and smiling, or take posed portraits. She was adamant about being okay with people not looking or smiling because SHE wanted to "capture natural emotions." Again, we specifically hired her for posed family portraits, not candids. In her after-session emails, she continued to reference candid photos. Had she felt she could not capture posed family portraits and everyone smiling (or edit to make it appear that way), then she shouldn't have taken the job. Christine continued to make excuses, deflected by telling me I should appreciate the time spent with my family, and then accused me of not liking her pictures because I must have had a bad experience with the party or something. I found that to be strange and insulting. She made me feel like my expectations were out of this world, but I think it's reasonable to want photos where everyone is paying attention and smiling. The entire experience could have been more professional and certainly should have been less about what Christine wanted and more about what my family wanted. We had one shot at these photos, and Christine ruined it with her inability to perform fundamental and necessary duties anyone would reasonably expect when hiring a professional photographer. With Christine, there is a lot of confusion, forgetfulness, and poor communication. We hired Natural Intuition Photography for our wedding this summer and they were amazing. I spoke with her a couple times before our wedding day and she was organized and gave just enough input on how the day can go. Typically she does in-person meetings and engagement shoots but because I was planning from out-of-state this was not possible. She was exactly what I was looking for, there to catch all the beautiful moments but never seemed in the way, with very few posed photos or things that felt forced. She felt like an old friend, cracking jokes and making us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She has an amazing eye and I couldn't be happier with our pictures. She captured the emotion of the whole day through her images. I would recommend Natural Intuition Photography without a bit of hesitation. read more
