I think this is my new favorite brewery in the Bentonville area. I can't believe I've never been here before when I have visited. For starters, the ambience and setting are perfect. It's on a small pond (probably a stormwater retention pond) that has a bike trail around it. You could bike here, if you were coming from a nearby neighborhood. There is seating inside outside under a tent in a patio. Much of an overlooks the water and trees. It's just a real natural feeling, even though you were in the middle of an urban area. But let's get to the beer. I love German style beer, and they have plenty of it. Everything I tried was excellent. I also appreciated that they have large pretzels that they will heat up and that they're a reasonable price. I'm really tired of paying $15 for a pretzel. We split a charcuterie tray, pretzels, and a few other items along with beer. An amazing way to spend an afternoon with friends plus great beer. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem! My husband and uncle came here and they told me i MUST go. It did not disappoint! I'm not a beer drinker but my husband and uncle loved the selection and the prices. The workers were so kind and helpful even when the line got long, they took their time to make sure everyone got what they wanted. We got a nice table inside but they have a covered patio and an outside seating area. It is also right along a 3/4 mile walking trail that i will be hitting up soon! My afternoon workspace, I stopped in to Natural State after getting bored working from the library. I took a seat in the corner near the power outlet and got a few things done before I had to depart and meet a friend for dinner. Natural State is leaning hard into their local presence, aligning with their presence on the walking/biking trail, a fantastic patio overlooking the lake and a whole lot of MAY THE FOURTH stuff happening. A Star Wars cosplay contest is underway with all sorts of posters and clever double entendres. It looks like it will be a great time. First off, if you see any sunset potential, make your way here. Just off their beautiful west-facing patio is a pond that perfectly reflects a sunset. The patio, by the way, has heat lamps and comfortable couch seating. My only regret was not getting here earlier. Oh but it's a beer company! The beer was good. Not exceptional, but satisfies the craving of German ales not always satisfied elsewhere. I just returned from a month in Germany and was trying to find some Helles. The Helles at Natural State is quite good, a solid 4/5. Better than some in Germany but not of the best. Also tried the Session IPL (India Pale Lager) which was nicely hopped but a hair on the sour side. Which is great if you like that.... But me not so much. But the staff was lovely, and they are the type of place that keeps your card until you close out. But the atmosphere was nice, music was (on this particular evening)... grunge. But not loud as to impede on our conversation. We enjoyed the sunset, the brews, the vibes. I was only visiting town, but my brother, a local, is sure to return. read more

Total turn off. You go to the bar to get your beer. You bring it to your table. You bring empty glasses to bus pans when done. When you use a credit card their suggested tip would be 20%, 25%, or 50%! Who do these beer-tenders think they are, this service is similar to McDonalds where they never ask for a tip. This place is cool. The beers were good. I had the Hefeweizen and my wife had the Dunkelweizen. The Hefe is less traditional than what I'm used to. I am used to it being golden and creamy. Figured I would update my comment since there was a response. Literally the first two things that were said to me were directly related to me wearing my Texas shirt and came directly from the person running that event. The timing of when you all decided to call me out was almost instantly after it started which is unlikely for anyone to get called out so soon. Yes, I was venting to my wife and there was a few curse words. However I do not feel I was being over the top but the only seating we had was right next to the bar so if anything the bar tender probably heard the most of it. The comment about kids should not even be included as there were 0 around. Even though I am not a big beer fan the atmosphere, location & view made it all worthwhile. I did try one of their ciders. A little pricey compared to others around I feel but again being able to go into a place in an area that is busy with restaurants & retail but hidden away in a back parking lot to then step inside for your beer, cider whichever is your preference & step outside into a relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful lake view made it a 5star for me! Ended up sitting basically looking at the parking lot, instead of the water - bummer. Loss of stars is because they had zero IPAs. Zero! Cute cute cute brewery nestled in the back of Village on the Creeks! I had no idea it was there but glad we found it. I grew up down the road from Village on the Creeks and it's about time some cool things happen in there, things to look forward to when I'm back. It's right off the bike trail, so a great spot for people to stop and grab a drink and hang! They had a great inside and outside, plenty of space to hang. There were games available, and who doesn't love that?! The perfect place to chill with friends. The outdoor space I loved! I hope they get a little fire pit out there for chilly nights. Local brewery with an absolutely fantastic and friendly staff. They have a beer list and are helpful with picking one you think you'll like. Right now they have pints on the patio at reduced prices depending on the temp outside which is super fun. The outdoor space is super comfortable with heaters and seating galore. Inside there is quite a bit of seating, but the high ceilings and lack of anything g soft makes it quite loud when it gets busy. Give these nice folks a visit! read more

The building has large doors that open up to the outside, so if you can't get a seat/couch outside you can sit inside and still feel the breeze! Great spot to grab a beer and hang out! They have cushioned patio lounge sets, picnic tables, and fire tables outside so you can enjoy your beer by the water. The patio has heaters for colder months. Oh boy. I'm all about atmosphere and personality. And this place looses it all. Yes, cool location, pretty bar. And decent beer. But it feel like I'm at the the worst coffee shop I've ever been to. Yes, I've spoken with a shit ton of people in my life behind the bar. So I have a little more experience then the statues behind the bar here. They are young. One said hello when I walked in, but the other... I looked right at her and asked her a question. Then I asked her again. Then I said did you hear me. I admit I'm a mumbler. She then looked at me and said WHat? I asked again. "I don't know was the answer. Question was about why no bar stools at the bar. I travel a lot in my van. I frequent breweries. I like to sit at the bar, to learn the local fair, speak with local people. I am that bartender at my brewery who tells you about local love, local hikes, restaurants, other breweries. Ok enough ranting. Good beer, not fun, no atmosphere, not an ounce or personality. Maybe there is better staff on a different day. But I've worked it lots of places, I've been to hundreds of breweries all over the country. This place has set me off to review more often. Here why. Most of the new bartenders in lots of places around the country Expect TIpS! Guess what! You should earn your tips! When a customer asks a question. Answer, be nice, be fun. If you are behind a bar, you make your tips by speaking. Not by standing their like a statue. Say hello, where are you from, how was your day.? How was your fucking day!? (Choose wisely) But speak to every customer like they are your best friend. When you swipe my CC on that computer and turn it toward me. If my options are 20-25-30 percent. I didn't go to this company for the beer. I travel around the us working on the railroad. My machines for the railroad use a part that some beer companies also use. I am in a city that I do not know, looking for a very rare fitting. Spent a few hours calling everything that came up on the web. Absolutely no luck, took awhile but realized I need to go get some fresh brewed beer. I walked into Natural State Beer and was welcomed by a very friendly gentleman and shortly after the brew master himself. While I was drinking his summer bock " witch I enjoyed very much" I asked him where I could find some of the parts I need, knowing he's buying similar parts. This is not a normal question for a brew company. His response shocked me!!! On the railroad, you have a few rare machines that play a critical role in the repair of the track. The parts are also as hard to get. So I walk in and drink my summer bock, ask my question about where I can find similar parts in this town. The response that shocked me was " yeah I know exactly what you are looking for and let's take a tour" he showed me the brewery and just gave me the parts I couldn't find, out of nowhere. So to recap. I had a really bad day on the railroad. Could not find the parts I needed. Natural state Beer gave me a reason to have a beer +1, they gave me the free parts to fix my railroad unit +2, and I charged my company to buy some of there wonderful beer +3. 1+2+3= win win win and company beer, thanks guys.
