We have been using Natural Zen Cleaners for over three years. We've moved in that time and they have cleaned both of our houses. We use the "clarity" level treatment with them and have been very pleased with this level of service. They are excellent at communicating about service times and changes in schedule. Since my husband and I work from home, we are often there they come clean and they do a great job of working around us. That also means we get a glimpse into their cleaning ethic. We have a 2500 sq ft house, with three floors (finished attic used as office space). They show up with 2-3 people and they are HUSTLING the whole time, for about 1.5 hours. Moving runner rugs, cleaning the blinds, stairs, scrubbing toilets etc. The house smells great and feels like it's put back in order after they're there. They've been coming every 2 weeks for the past two years, and even though we've looked at our budget a few times, having the cleaners come is a non-negotiable expense for us. They will work with you on quotes for pricing and do not upcharge. They do a phenomenal job cleaning and our house always smells/looks great afterwards. I really hate coming on Yelp to dish out bad reviews but this place was close to the most unprofessional business I've ever interacted with. There are plenty of other good options in the Triangle so be wary of this one. Not only were they wildly inaccurate in their estimate but also incredibly rude in customer interactions. We ended up with a 1/2 clean house and an earful of reasons that made no sense. The estimate they provided was off by 50%!!! If your estimates are off by that much maybe you need to re-evaluate how you are giving estimates? We would have been happy to pay more if we were given any actual reasons but instead we just got an earful of excuses that made no sense given what was described and laid out in the initial quote and a whole bunch of rudeness. I'm not sure if something changed recently on their management side but they certainly have a lot to work on. Just to be clear, the actual cleaners did a very thorough job on the portion they did clean. This review rests squarely on the gross mismanagement of this business. EDIT: I'm not going to get into yet another back and forth with this owner, it has obviously been a fruitless exercise given the complete ineptitude and lack of customer service. Attached are photos of the remainder of our house that was left uncleaned. Yelpers reading this can make their own judgement about the "condition" of our home and it requiring 50% more time than the already agreed upon more expensive deep clean service plus this mystery extra 42 minutes he alleges provided at his cost. Let me preface this review by saying we've had two services done by this company so far and cleaning-wise we have been happy with the work. The first one was a deep-clean which while pricey for our smaller 1 story 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and (& we only had them clean 2 of the 3 bedrooms) we were willing to pay it. The workers were very personable. From what I could tell they didn't speak allot of English but that was ok as my husband's first language is Spanish. We had already signed up for their monthly cleaning service prior to the first deep clean & were told when they left that someone would get in touch to schedule the next service....they never did and we were billed twice..my husband called first to get the bill sorted out which they did nicely & then had to call again when nobody ever followed up with scheduling. So we finally get our next service and once again we're told we will recieve a call to set up our next appointment. It's been OVER A MONTH AGAIN & NO CALL! So my husband calls again and is told 'they will call us back to reschedule, sorry for the mixup but they can't schedule us now as their system is down'. That call took place 4 or 5 days ago and there still has been no follow-up. Now my husband is looking into new cleaning services. It's such a simple thing to keep a client on a monthly calendar this just seems inexcusable. Also, both times they needed to reschedule on us which really screwed up our schedule. To conclude if they had not been late, scheduled as promised & followed through this would most likely be a 5 star review but this hassle is definitely not worth it. read more

Not only do they do a beautiful job cleaning my home thoroughly , they also do the little extras to make my home look so pretty ..from the way they arrange throw pillows to folding blankets and making sense if my mess. In addition my home smells clean not like chemicals! I appreciate the professionalism of Natural Zen, from the staff who do the actual cleaning to the office staff who set the appointment times. Absolutely horrible. Buyer beware. Gave great detail during the estimate process and they provided an incorrect quote- luckily I caught that they had not included pet pricing and was fixed. On the day of cleaning, they arrived at the wrong apartment, no phone call, nothing. When I noticed they were 20 minutes late, I called the office and the manager provided me with a phone number to the crew to give directions to my door- none of which spoke English, also fine but not sure how that is supposed to work. Cleaning was okay, but what really gets me is the horrible customer service of this company. I never received an invoice on how to pay due to their lack of organization. They charged my card without consent. But at the very least they got the amount correct. I am STILL receiving invoices for someone else's account. I have emailed this company many, many times to correct and no action is ever taken. I had one cleaning in July of 2019 and am still, in December, checking my credit card statement out of fear that my account is linked to another customer's name. No one will correct. Customer service acts defensive, and offers a myriad of reasons why it "isn't their fault." At this point I'm collecting evidence and reporting them. Be cautious. read more

I've never used a cleaning service but with having other obligations in life it was time to give it a try. I always assumed it would be expensive, it wouldn't meet my OCD standards, or that I wouldn't be able to trust the people cleaning our home. I'm one cleaning in and now I can't believe how I went this long without it! The admin team at Natural Zen cleaning was very professional, quick to respond, and helped us set up a cleaning schedule that met our needs. I submitted for a quote and received a detailed response very quickly. I was impressed with their transparency and clarity in how much it would cost and what services would be provided for each service level. Reasonable quality of cleaning. A bit overpriced but that was my choice so no problem. However, they constantly fluctuate their pricing and it ends up being very confusing. In addition, they tend to complain a lot about actually cleaning via their sales/customer service questions. This person sends very long confusing texts while they are at your place, complaining about the place being "messy" or "in disarray" and using it to justify half effort while charging more than actually planned for. They have lost things and then denied actually ever seeing it until I show pics of the items there right before their arrival. I hate to be negative but it's worth noting before hiring. I appreciate that the initial interactions, estimate, website and emails were detailed and easy-to-navigate. On the day of my initial cleaning, however, I was very disappointed. My emailed estimated arrival time was between 12:30 and 12:45. I was then texted an estimated arrival of 1:15pm. The team arrived around 2:15pm. I did inform the office who then offered a discounted rate for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. However, then after 3 hours of service, I was notified that an additional hour at a rate of $99 was requested. This was at odds with a policy posted on their website that the client will be alerted within the first hour of the service if extra time will be estimated. Ultimately, while the office staff was responsive, between the extra cost, late request for extra time and team being an hour late, I would not use this service again, would not recommend the company, and would recommend caution to anyone else who does. read more

I hired zen cleaning to come back in March and I hope before you do hire them that you read this review - it was incredibly difficult and inconvenient to schedule. They requested I not be in my home when they came and returned home to some missing items. Not only that I discussed with the owner that I would pay on Venmo. 24 hours before the two cleaning members came I was told that they required a credit card to be kept on file but that if I paid on Venmo I wouldn't be charged. Low and behold they charged my credit card without my consent and I was charged a $131.31 processing fee on a $118 cleaning. They did a horrible job on top of that - save yourself from getting scammed and buy your own essential oil diffuser. All they did was vacuum and use an essential oil diffuser. My bathroom was still dirty, no sheets changed, and my kitchen floors were still dirty. I have physical differences and have trouble getting on my hands and knees to clean so I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of. Essential oil diffusers are $10 on Amazon don't fall for the gimmick. read more

I was amazed at how thorough they were. I signed up for an initial Harmony service, which is the full service! They did everything! Hercilia was great, and very communicative about their progress. I am already booking my weekly services with them now. I can't wait to come home to a clean house like this on a regular basis. When I say thorough, I mean our baseboards look good enough to eat off of, and even the fire alarms are cleaned and dusted! (The fire alarms are clean! Seriously!) They left nothing untouched! They even wiped down and dusted the decorative apothecary bottles we have on the top of our kitchen cabinets! I haven't touched those since we moved! My home smells and looks incredible. The aroma therapy services they provide are great. I got this really great whiff of ginger when I walk into my kitchen which is very calming. Reminds me of good cup of tea. The all-natural cleaning products don't leave anything with a coating, or a waxy look or feel. An added bonus is I don't have to worry about my boxer, since all of their cleaning supplies are all natural, so no harsh chemicals around my crazy pooch! I waited to review Natural Zen Cleaning (NZC) until after their second cleaning to make sure the exceptional service I received the first time wasn't a one off. So I will review the two visit separately: Visit 1 - Harmony This option provides a thorough cleaning and I mean thorough. My home was the cleanest it's ever been at one time from top to bottom literally including inside windows, baseboards, window sills and more. This option also includes aromatherapy which left my home smelling amazing for approximately 3 - 4 days. They sent a team of 3 very friendly ladies that gave attention to every detail. Visit 2 - Purity This is one step down from the Harmony option. It also provides a thorough cleaning...just shy of Harmony and also includes the aromatherapy. There's a team of two that come out with this option...and yes, they were as friendly and thorough as the first team. The office staff that you speak with to book your appointment is friendly and patient to answer all questions. I called several times to ask questions because I was hesitant due to previous disappointing experiences with other companies and April and Leo were very nice and understanding. My only regret is that I didn't use them sooner. I loved their professionalism and customer service and I now have a standing appointment every two weeks which keeps my home showroom beautiful. Prior to your appointment they will send an email as a reminder with a list of what you can do to make sure your appointment doesn't go over the allotted time...make sure you follow that to avoid possible additional costs. read more

If I could give 10 stars... I would. I found Natural Zen through Yelp with only one day notice, they were able to come help us. First off, the girl that set our appointment, Diana, was very clear, organized, fast to respond and helpful. She took my information with much detail and gave me a very accurate quote for all my needs. Now here's the impressive part... the team, Hercilia, Teresa and Hilda were super heroes. They carefully cleaned every single area that I could imagine. Even pushed the fridge out to clean behind it and wow... it probably hasn't been cleaned in years. They even stood on top of countertops to clean the top of every surface. I was actually worried for their safety but they reassure me that they do this all the time and they're fine. Seriously, I've never seen a team that detail-oriented and friendly. Even when we were having a conversation, they would be multi-tasking. Not a second of rest time.. they just kept working. I even offered them water or a break and they did not take it. On top of that, they left lavender aromatherapy in every room and left tea and chocolate before they left. I honestly cannot put into words or rave about them enough. They are seriously THE BEST CLEANING CREW I have ever met. To a point where I almost feel like they are family. We have been using Natural Zen Cleaning since October 2017. Their cleaners are excellent and do an impeccable job. It is for that reason alone that we have remained loyal, recurring monthly customers because their administration and scheduling is by far the most disorganized and poorly managed of any cleaning service with which I've interacted. Over more than two years, I have had to be in touch with management on a monthly basis to ensure our service is even scheduled -- and more often than not, they have not remembered to schedule us or they have to request our flexibility as they scramble to find a time slot to accommodate us. Earlier this year, they transitioned to a new scheduling service which has served as a routine excuse for why their recurring customers were not being automatically scheduled or for why conflicting text messages or reminder emails were sent and then retracted. The purpose of paying for a cleaning service is to alleviate stress and outsource time-consuming chores. Unfortunately, Natural Zen Cleaning is unable to deliver on that and it is my hope that their cleaners, who do the highest-quality work and are incredibly professional, do not suffer for the lack of competence in the company's management. Totally horrible guys. They will just eat your money, Beware. I called them last week for the house clean and choose Purity for the cleaning option. They came at 5 on last Saturday in the evening and started to clean. In 15 mins Kristen the manager texted me that house is heavily soiled so they will charge extra $33 per person *4 per hour for extra hours. I clean my house everyday. of course there are some stains on the floor , oils on the backsplash and some spider webs otherwise why should I call cleaning service if my house is already clean. instead of extra pay, I excluded the ground floor room and bathroom so that they can use that time to clean 1st and 2nd floor. within an hour and half, cleaning lady came and told me its completed. and we cannot do more because 'no time' . I went upstairs to check. I asked them its not clean. they replied' No time'. and they went outside in hurry. when I went upstairs in 2nd floor, I saw dusts all over outside my bedroom. I took a picture and send to Natural Zen and they replied this service is based upon square footage. So I paid $229 and how much square footage they cleaned ? just by master bedroom and bathroom ? Does that make any sense to Digest $229? apart of that, they mixed up all the garbage in one bag . I had to open the bag and filter recycle and trash one by one. Here is a quick breakdown: -they use your vacuum to help with allergens and asthma -they are thorough and keep you in the loop of their progress. -they will probably go over the time estimated (so consider than when booking). In the reviews people had similar experiences. But hey, my house looks brand new now. -my house smells like a spa. -they found new places for my stuff, which makes my space look bigger. I hesitated to get a cleaning company to help around my house. But after a year of working full time and going to graduate school full time, I had gotten behind on my upkeep. I would clean up surface areas but my fridge, Windows, and baseboards were consistently overlooked. So I bit the bullet and purchased the Harmony package with NZC Of course the five star reviews made me hesitant. Nothing could be that excellent, I thought. Leo was a pleasure to work with and made the decision easy for me. The team came in and did WORK. I mean my place is spotless. I have attached some pictures, but I wish I had before and afters!! My dog has short hair but it can be ridiculous with how much is around my house. I'm sure they went over my carpet more than once. I will be using them again. I was referred to Natural Zen Cleaning from a friend after she had a great experience with them. I have lived in my home for 9 years and never done a deep clean and I have been wanting to and I knew it needed it desperately. While I am a clean person, I do not do all that I could/should to maintain my home, so I was thankful to have someone else come in and do the work. I will say this, as far as what they do (cleaning), my house looks amazing, the stove (black) looks brand new, my shower stall which has years of hard water stains now has the white floor that I never knew existed, the doors and baseboards look pristine. I can say my house has never looked as clean. While the house does look fantastic, I must be honest and also comment on some of the negatives. While I know the dirt had built up, they were conservative on their time estimates and it took much longer and was also much more expensive than I was originally quoted. There were also some communication issues and some minor damage. After speaking to the owner at length, these issues were resolved for me. read more

My wife and I share a two-bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment style condo. She has severe allergy issues and we have a dog that sheds a fair amount. This past fall we finally broke down and decided to get cleaners on a regular basis. We've been using Natural-Zen for roughly 6 months now and have been thrilled. First things first, yes, they are a tad on the pricey side. That being said; it has been my experience that with cleaning you really do get what you pay for. With cheaper cleaners (in the past) we have always noticed corners being cut. Not so with these guys; blinds, the top of door frames, under our stove burners, everything always looks great. I wanted to wait a few months before reviewing because quality can sometimes drop off after initial sessions but this has not been the case at all. read more

I want to give zero stars because they didn't even come to clean my house. I requested an appointment time several weeks before moving to my new house. I was told in writing by the supposed founder of the company that a 3pm cleaning was ok. Today they said they only had 9am for the day I requested and their 'fix' was to bother another customer to see if they would move their service and a coupon. Poor customer service. This company once again provided outstanding service. Our house was sparkling when the ladies left. No dirt can hide from their team. Especially after stepping into my sparkling like new shower this morning. A shower that I struggle with because I have a bad back and arthritis so it's my nemesis to keep clean but they made it look new. I read someone complain about the ladies talking while they cleaned - that slayed me. So they are supposed to stay silent? Really? Well when they are here I hear them happily chatter while they work harder than most people I've ever seen. I don't care if they talk. I imagine the person who complained about them talking doesn't stay silent at work. They did not stop to chatter, they kept going. We did get the text that our house needed extra work. I think sometimes people have a view of their homes that may be unrealistic (maybe not) but I wasn't surprised. We've been cooped up for a year and honestly my focus was NOT on deep cleaning. I work from home, we have elderly parents we take care of. Lots going on, in short not surprised. BUT we didn't budget for extra time. So we talked to the manager and let them know that we couldn't go beyond what we budgeted. Let them know what was less important to us. And it worked out great. The manager let us know that we could always schedule another visit if we needed additional cleaning. Looking around after they left, it was just fine. I'm sure if they wanted to do more detail work they could have but I was very happy. These ladies are trained to find the dirt and get rid of it. My husband asked me if I saw the pile of dust they had swept up. He was shocked. I'm not because I've seen their work before. I usually buy some bottles of water to have on hand for them. We try to set the temperature in the house at a temp that would be nice for them to work in because they work hard. In short, we really really try to think of how can we be nice to them. Working with the public is not easy. I have communicated with the owner a few times and I found him easy to deal with. My dad used them one time to clean their house and was like one of the dissatisfied yelpers but wanted me to deal with it. I called Leo and he was great. I know my Dad is a difficult customer and I know their house situation. I also knew my experience with the company. Leo explained their side in a nice manner all was resolved.
