So in other words, it stands out from the crowd and looks cool. But everything in here is about twice the price of buying online... I couldn't see myself spending £55 on a shirt, even if it is as nice as the ones here... I over heard some of the (exceptionally stylish and attractive) staff discussing confrontations with the public over prices, with one guy retelling a tale wherein he'd been asked "have you ever heard of this place called Africa?". I wouldn't go so far as to make passing remarks like that, but I'm not alone in thinking its expensive here... Still, if you can afford it, go ahead! Just check how much it is online before you get caught in the moment and buy in store.

This is why I'm especially frustrated that I've fallen in love with their tailored sweatshirts (yes, there is such a thing); their edgy, asymmetrical coats; and their anything-but-sloppy sweaters. All in beautiful neutrals that aren't the typical flat grays and muddy taupes - these hues have depth, with many of the colors exhibiting that marled or heathered look. Love it! I purchased a beautifully-cut sweatshirt jacket in black with the most interesting zippered collar, and a heathered taupe sweater that wraps and tucks in all the right places for a super flattering fit. The customer service at the cash wrap left a lot to be desired, but the associate who helped me out on the floor was a doll. Pro tip for Americans: I fell in love with a coat that I found online on the US site. They didn't have it it in my size and it was definitely NOT on sale. But I did some recon and found that the UK site not only had my size, but the original price was less than the US site's and it was offered on sale for 20% off. Free (and fast!) shipping, too! There is always a way :)

This aside, the clothes looked very high quality and interesting considering the look is more classic than trend driven. If you prefer small boutiques, aren't too hot on being totally now and don't mind the price tag that often accompanies them, you might be in luck here.

There's a host of more conventional clothing as well, such as shirts and the like and the quality of products is pretty good. I was surprised to see clothing that seemed (on first glance) to be designed for Prince Charles that actually looked trendy. The small store packs plenty in too, so you don't just end up looking at one trendy cap, but a plethora of different styles and designs. The major stumbling block for me however, was the price... While I can imagine spending a lot of money on a really good Jacket, I'm not sure I'd spend 200 or so £££ on one. But if you're looking for something thats going to last you a long time and look cool while its doing it, its certainly worth casting your eye across their website, and maybe popping even into the store to have a look in person.

Not a very satisfactory online shopping experience for me and most likely wont use them again, largely due to the lackadaisical communication. Places like this always come along and show off some of the most awesome versions of my clothes... and charge £55 them... £55 feels like the standard... Whether its the ludicrously soft and well fitting hoodies with their gorgeous designs, or the series of gut wrenchingly bad ass trainers....... Gah! There aren't many brands here, with a strong loyalty towards the three or so on offer. In addition to the usual jeans, trainers, jackets shirts and hoodies, The Mole also boasts a strong offering of very sexy accessories. Be they the stylish wallets, trendy shades or somewhat (in my opinion) tacky headphones to match your clothes, The Mole has got colours and styles to impress... Not great value, but offering exceptional quality, The Mole is a place to treat yourself, or to blow that big bonus (not that I've ever had one to wield).

The children's clothing is so cheap, I've bought a few items for my toddler. The quality has been a bit hit and miss, but then I wasn't expecting anything amazing for the price. I've picked up a trendy looking pack a Mac here for my foster son and he still uses it. I also purchased a £2.50 table lamp and £2 storage boxes the other day as a present, both looked far more expensive than what I actually paid. If you're looking for a bargain this is the place!

We all know I've had a beef with Clarks ever since I was forced to wear their shoes as a child…read more I have to admit though, if your mum, auntie or grandma is looking for a pair of comfy and sensible day or evening shoes, this particular branch is worth a visit. It's smaller and friendlier than the bigger branch in the Churchill Square Shopping Centre, there's parking or buses to the next street and they have a constant supply of different stock. My lovely better half even managed to pick up a very nice pair of red, rockabilly shoes from here last summer. I've tried them on but I couldn't bring myself to borrow them!

You only need to walk around the city with your eyes pointed down (which I often do, due to the massive shame weighing me down) to see all the pairs of checkerboard Slip ons, and the bright colour ways of the Old Skool and Era. The Vans brand is pretty dominant in the footwear stakes, especially more recently, with their chunkier version of the plimsoll being Office and Offspring favourites too. It is therefore only befitting they open a new store (conveniently slap-bang between the Office and Offspring) in the heart of the city's commercial shopping area. The store is well stocked with the footwear ranges, tees, jeans, hoodies and hats, and also some eye candy when it comes to the staff. Definitely the place to go if you want anything Vans. But that's kind of obvious really isn't it?!
