We ended up buying some homemade pies, a quiche, and few frozen steaks. We liked strawberry-rhubarb and raspberry pies, the quiche was ok, but we were really disappointed with steaks. We got NY strip loin beef steaks, a Ribeye bison steak and a lamb steak. The lamb steak was ok, but the bison and beef steaks were not cut properly and were quite chewy. Considering that the prices for everything in store are 50% more than in regular supermarket (see prices for steaks at the picture), we were clearly disappointed with our visit.

Now it's a good time to pick strawberries, raspberry, blueberries, peas, and corns. There are wagons to take ppl from one field to another. We got off at the strawberry field, but we don't really into the strawberry, so just took a look; then we got to the raspberry field, they looked good, but we barely eat raspberry; then we went to the Blueberry field, our destination was here. We saw another side of the field was having big blueberries, but they didn't open that side to us. And they said it was noon already, most of the big ones had been picked. I tasted a few, they were sort of big, but soured. We moved to other sides, but still the same. When we went home, most of them we made smoothies with honey. We also went to the peas field, not too many people. The peas were so sweet that we could eat them raw. But we went home to boil them with the skin, the skin was hard to eat, it was not snow peas, and too expensive when weighed with the skin. Good experience for the kids. They were happy.

That's what enables them to sell the same stuff for less than their competitors. If I need a "frill" then I go to Zehrs, or Metro, or Sobey's or whatever. Parking is no problem. Hours are great. Staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Selection is acceptable... unless you want specialty stuff of course, but hey... it's "no frills". Duh. I just recently shopped at a local Zehrs. When I got home, I did a comparison shop out of curiosity. I would have saved myself more than 10% had I shopped at No Frills vs. Zehrs for the exact same products. That would add up to over $800 in one year... for the same stuff. It's a no-brainer.

Such a cute little market!…read more Stopped in on a whim on my way to Lake Couchiching for a girls weekend. Ended up with a basket of fresh peaches, fresh corn, organic maple syrup, a box of homemade peanut butter cookies, and a bag of trail mix. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Oh and the cookies - OH MY GAH, so so yummy! They also offered plants and flowers for sale outside of the building. Seems to be a one stop shop for cottagers and locals in the area, would definitely return!
