I have been a customer of Nature's Best for close to five years. I come in once or twice a week and I live around the corner. Nature's Best is at the end of my 50-minute walk from work (Georgian College). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and some even call me by my name when I walk in the door. Unfortunately, today was my last day as a customer of Nature's Best. Today the owner decided to strongly imply--he stopped just short of a direct accusation--that I had shoplifted a $6 deodorant crystal the week before. I had come in last week, at the tail end of my walk home from work. I was carrying a cloth bag with my personal effects, one item being a deodorant crystal I had purchased a couple of weeks prior. I keep the crystal in my bag to apply to my underarms after my walk both to and from work. The owner confronted me today to tell me he had noticed the crystal in my bag last week. He informed me that the cashier at the front was already expecting me to pay for the crystal today. When I asked him why he did not mention it at the time he noticed it, he could not give me a clear answer. I told the owner that I would not be paying for the crystal because I had already purchased it. I tried to explain the situation to him, that I keep one in my bag, but he would not listen to me. While he did not directly accuse me of shoplifting, his words and his tone of voice made it clear that he had thought he had caught me red-handed. What was most insulting and humiliating was that he did not ask my why the crystal was in my bag. If he had, I would have explained. He simply TOLD me that I would be paying for it because I had left the store without paying for it. I will now address the owner. Since money is a clear motivator for you, and the reason why you confronted me in your store, I have a money figure for you: $5277.01 That is the amount of money I have spent in your store since March 1st, 2014. I was so furious after the way you treated me that I checked my bank records after I left your store. Needless to say, that is money that you will never see again. I hope it was worth harassing me over a $6 deodorant crystal. read more

Excellent health food store. Chad the manager is well educated and informative. As a health professional I know some things but he surpasses my knowledge now and then. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store has a great selection and has good quality products. I've noticed in other reviews that people have complained about rude staff and managers shouting at employees. I have been here 50 times over 3 years and have never had a bad experience. read more

Nature's Best has a great atmosphere and great selection with very knowledgeable staff.Great prices always....with no hassle or high pressure staff who work the vitamin wall. Amazing fresh organic produce that lasts. I moved away for several years and am now back in Barrie. I forgot about them and then a freind mentioned a store where they make the best Orange juice and that I just had to try it. So I did and am glad that they are still around.
