The selection at Nature's Fare Markets was mind-blowing. My husband was wise and grabbed a seat in their cafe area - since it was evident that I was waaaay too thrilled to be walking down every aisle in this healthy oasis. This place is not cheap - but they have put together an incredible assortment of organic/healthy grocery items. They have it all when it comes to keto, gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free items and much more. I picked up some vegan cheese, some paleo snacks, and a single serving of matcha. I was actually surprised at the restraint that I showed - especially with the array of mouth watering desserts beckoning me as - you enter (the vegan/gluten free carrot cake looked amazing). They also have some decent looking pre-made take-away options, as well as freshly made smoothies - if you're looking for a quick nourishing bite. Support local and get your grocery on. Pricey!! But I am thrilled to find this whole-foods-esque organic grocer in the neighborhood. This is the closest type of store akin to choices or Wholefoods. I was able to find my favourite coffee beans from 'the drive' here; Moja coffee. The prices are exorbitant, oat milk coffee creamer is $6.99, which is outrageous but I think overall food inflation is a global issue not just locally. We were at Nature's fare this evening around 7:30 pm today is Friday, March 26 I cannot express how impressed I was with the fellow that helped me pick out a multivitamin...he really listened to my concerns and suggested the perfect one...and it was very resonably priced. We have been dedicated shoppers at Natures Fare Langley for several years now. They have a great selection of vegan, vegatarian, dairy free, gluten free and more... One of the best of their many wonderul things is their staff. We have loved coming in year after year to see staff like Sunny, always helping us find products we need and to interact with the children with his playful nature. A great asset to their team and glad they employee such kind people with big hearts. It's why we keep coming back. read more

I found the store quite by accident as I had stopped to visit the toy Traders next door. They have a decent selection of natural and many organic items. Not having a list to shop with I just remembered I needed quinoa flakes and could not find and after asking a store worker who needed to find another who also ask another and then a fourth one finally found my item in the cereal aisle after checking several other places. Thought I would try some of their in-house baked vegan sweets the bar oat quinoa fudge had a good flavor but a weird oily texture excessively, maybe it was the earth balance chocolate might have excessive palm oil in it. I would not buy again. The cocoa Walnut cookie was very good not being overly sweet and a nice texture. I would buy again. The Bistro items looked tasty and I'd like to return soon and try a lunch here. read more

A good natural foods store. As I live in Vancouver I have much more variety in organic and natural foods stores (Choices, Whole Foods and Famous Foods) so this store didn't carry anything I haven't seen before. The organic hotdogs were $14 for 8! What?! I guess they make their customers pay a premium for living outside the city. The same organic hotdogs can be found at Famous Foods in my neighbourhood for $10. It is, however, a great place for people who live in the Valley and don't want to go all the way to Vancouver to buy their health products and organics. The product seems to also cater to suburbanites. There is a lot of frozen, refrigerated and packaged foods and very little variety of fruits and veggies, grains, meats and bulk items. They do have great customer service and friendly checkout staff though. I'd be happy to go here often if I lived in Langley. read more

They have a small lunch area that serves salads, organic coffee and has lots of vegan/gluten free options. It's really good, super healthy and moderately priced. My wife loves coming here for some items like skin care. I usually find myself sitting down in the restaurant area with a samosa. The veggie samosas are ok. Not very greasy at all with a nice lite bit of heat and spices and some good stuff inside. Be sure to get the chutney sauce and get the samosa done on the grill but expect to wait about 5+ min to get it done right. They have a good selection of vitamins snd gluten frer stuff as well. Oh, and if you check in here on yelp, you get a 5% coupon for use right now. They also have a lot of healthier options for sauces and cereals you won't find in too many other places. Worth a visit but be careful of going hog wild you might get a slap in the face come time to pay. This place adds up fast. read more

I came here once a really long time ago and I've not been back since. I was trying out a lip balm recipe I found online, and I needed some stuff for it, so I headed here. I needed argan oil, jojoba oil and shea butter, which they had. I also needed beeswax, which they have a lot of, and lots of different kinds, so I wasn't sure what to get. I asked a staff member for help and she didn't say a word, just led me back over to the beeswax display, and left (still didn't say anything). So I just got some random piece shaped like a bee and hoped for the best! The recipe didn't end up working out unfortunately, but at least they had what I was looking for (more unfortunately I was now out $35+ for stuff I may never use again). -2 stars for the weird customer service, and the high prices. read more

I'll start by saying that this location is probably the worst place for a grocery store in history. The parking lot is very inconvenient and confusing to get into and requires you to either cut through back alleys or get stuck in traffic for twenty minutes near some train tracks. Going in, everyone seemed quite stuck up and full of themselves, and the store wasn't lit well. It was hard to read a lot of labels. Here's where my disappointment sets in. I cannot consume dairy and that is the reason I came. They do not stock any non-dairy products in a reasonable price range beyond alternatives to milk, which I can buy anywhere. I am not paying thirteen dollars for a block of fake cheese smaller than my hand. Not to mention the allergens. Dairy and soy allergies go hand in hand. Tapioca and latex allergies do too, and I have all of those. To my dismay, nondairy often meant soy or tapioca as the replacement ingredient... instead of alternatives I've found in cheaper stores, such as the aforementioned almonds or even cashews or coconut. I couldn't find yogourt that met my allergen requirements and the employee I asked was condescending to me. I am poor, yes, but don't talk down to me when I say I can't afford something! I also hate that the store promotes anti-GMO sentiments and the idea that being vegan is better, that organics are safer, essential oils work better, that conventional medicine is bad for you, etc. It's very overt and in your face, especially when you talk to the employees. They also sell huge healing crystals. It's a grocery store. What the eff, guys. I understand that some people believe in this, but please don't promote it like it's an immutable fact. I also bought some digestive products, on the advice of another employee, to help my intolerances, and ended up getting incredibly sick off of them. My doctor took a look and he said that they were not what was advertised and it was a SCAM PRODUCT. I took it back and told them that but the girl insisted that it wasn't a scam and it was just the opinion of one person (despite looking it up and seeing more people saying the same thing as my doctor). I had a friend from high school that worked here for a while, after graduating, and he wasn't a fan of the other staff members or management. He was also poor and found that people liked to flash their money in his face so to speak. Everyone was required to dress quite office-casual, and when he couldn't afford to dress nicely every single day he got a talking to and was told he should be able to afford to look nice because they don't want to ruin their image and if he couldn't afford it he should go work somewhere else. This was ten or so years ago. He was so mad he came home crying. read more

I love this place!! Their fruit/veggie juices to-go are my favourite. It's clean, organized and well laid out. There are lots of staff working who are quite helpful. Bummer on the lousy service, bro. I go in to the 'Fare often to pick up stuff for our son's gluten free diet, so when I saw a groupon for natural soda online I jumped on it and bought 2. When I got there they didn't have enough on the shelf so a stocker got me some from the back. I proceed to the till and was informed icily by the cashier that there is a maximum of 2 per person (the coupon was for 2 four packs of soda). I agree and say yes, 2 coupons per operson. She disagrees. I insist and show her the details on the coupon. Cashier: "Fine, just go then." Me: "Well no, I still owe you for the tax and deposit" (as stipulated on the coupon). Realizing I just saved her snide ass from getting crap from her superiors for sending a customer out of the store without fully paying for product she softens a bit. She looks at the coupons and asks a colleague how much it should be (again the confusion with 2 packs vs, 2 coupons) It says $1.80 on the coupon but she insists it's $3.60 per and charges me $7.20 for tax, deposit, and eco fees. At this point I have no fight left so I just agreed (plus she had the coupons in her hand so I couldn't fight her on the fine print at this point) . Then she had issues getting the debit machine to work. Nonplussed as I departed, I decided to reprint the coupons to check. It was indeed $1.80 per coupon! BAAAH. I called the store and thankfully got a girl on the phone who had helped and knew what was going in. Now I have to go back to get a refund. Sure it's only a few bucks, but it's the principle right?!! If everyone charged us double what they advertised we'd all be pissed and broke tout suite! Yeah, they got a great selection of amazingly healthy and expensive stuff but the service blows, peeps. There's lots of health food stores that will be happy to take my money AND smile at the same time. read more

Nature's Fare Market is one of my absolute favorite places to shop for all things gluten free. Brand new, large, sparkling floors, neatly stocked shelves, ample parking, excellent customer service and cafe--what more could I want in a shopping experience. But the reason I write today is because I want to tell you about the cute cafe in-store called the Apple Organic Bistro. Not very large, unpretentious, located in the corner of their large store is this little bistro cafe which offers fresh salads, homemade sandwiches, soups, smoothies, and some baked goods. Oh and they offer gluten free salads, soup and sandwiches too. Any time I shop here, I love to stop for a bite to eat. They make the best smoothies with real fruit and good quality orange juice or even fresh squeezed apple juice if you want it (extra $). My favorite is their berry breeze. They have a mango one which is quite good as well. Their soups are delicious as well; I've tried their turkey and wild rice and their vegetarian chili --both excellent. They make great gluten free sandwiches on O' Dough's Flax Bread, which I thought was sooo delicious. I tried the cheese and vegetable sandwich (lettuce, tomatoes, red pepper, cucumber, havarti and mayo) and I devoured it. The bread is nice and soft. It doesn't fall apart easily like others I have tried. My sister tried the chicken and avocado sandwich and she felt the avocado made her sandwich a bit mushy, but she liked the sandwich just the same. All this talk of sandwiches is making me hungry...but seriously its worth checking out. The O'Dough's Flax bread can be bought in store for roughly $7.00 in the frozen aisle (this is my favorite bread to make grilled cheese sandwiches). read more

Not really a fan of the organic, hippie, save the planet, hug a seal nonsense but Nature's Fare does have a few things that I do enjoy getting once in a while. Great selections of coffees as I'm a coffee guy and they have Kicking Horse so bonus points of them as they have selections you can't find anywhere else. Same goes with the Kettle brand chips too as they sell the bigger bags at a decent price with a wide assortment of flavors to please the chip aficionados palate. read more

They need to have more than one till open during the day though. It's frustrating going in to buy lunch only for the one till to be busy with someone's weekly groceries. When I first walked into this place, I was really impressed. As a health conscious, organic nut, Nature's fare satisfied many of me needs and wants. It definitely has the best selection in the Langley area for healthy, natural and eco-friendly options. As soon as you walk in, there's a bookshelf with some great health reads like 'Wheat Belly' and several wellness and yoga magazines. It was a great first impression to see that they supported such reads. As I explored, I discovered that Nature's Fare has a great amount of gluten free, organic and/or vegan packaged goodies like raw chocolate, gluten free pizza, kale chips, quinoa crackers and coconut bliss ice cream etc (great for those transitioning into either diet). Plus, there's a lot of interesting finds in the fridges/freezers and self-serve bulk section. I was impressed at some of the things I found here that I thought I would have otherwise had to travel into Vancouver find. Such as: buckwheat, kelp noodles and dried mulberries. (There's also a great area dedicated to natural beauty products and general toiletries, but I haven't perused through much of that area other than to pick up floss.) But, I rarely browse the aisles anymore since venturing into raw veganism. Now my favourite and most visited area of Nature's fare has to be their produce section. I love how there is always organic fruit and vegetables available here, as I do my hardest eat as organically and non GMO as possible. This summer Nature's Fare was wonderful as my go-to place for sweet corn, as it was the only place nearby that had organic corn, and it was delicious! Unfortunately it was a little hit in miss with the quality of it though. Sometimes the corn they brought in would be unripe. But on the days it was good, it was REALLY good. So it was worth the "roulette". One thing I love in particular is how they bag any slightly ripe bananas and sell them for a cheaper price. I'm always looking forward to the days where they have bagged bananas since they're one of the mainly eaten fruits in my household. We go through them fast! The bagged bananas here have been life savers, and pocket savers. From how often I've hauled several bags to the checkout or phoned in asking if they have bagged bananas that day, they probably think I live with monkeys. The staff here is very nice and fairly welcoming. It makes for a very relaxed atmosphere that I feel comfortable shopping in. Also worthy of note: not only does Nature's Fare have a good amount of natural choices, but there are discounts every Sunday and an additional discount for families with dependant children. Another really nice pocket saver. All in all, it's a pretty great place. There are improvements that I would enjoy, such as longer hours! 6PM and 7PM is too early, and because of this I don't get to stop in as often as I'd like to because I usually work until 7:30, at which time Nature's Fare is already closed. :( I hope an extension of hours could be possibility in the future. I would also be interested in seeing a larger produce area and without the strangely positioned meat and dairy section by the checkout (although small, it's still slightly off putting smack bang in the middle of everything). I think that's the best way I can sum up my experience and impression here. And, yes, I will be dropping by tomorrow to check on the status of those bananas. ;) read more

The best place to purchase organic groceries. I always know they are organic, no looking for special tags in the supermarkets and I love their juice bar. Such a great place if your vegan, I can always find what I need to make my dishes, no store hopping looking for egg replacer etc. The staff has always been kind and helpful. read more

It is an expensive store. They've got a lot of different and interesting products. I went there for the natural makeup and lotions and they have a great selection. I kind of feel like I can just go to London Drugs and get similar products for less though. The staff was super knowledgeable to help me find something less expensive though and I was satisfied with my purchases. Although I got the makeup too dark and I don't know if they will exchange it. Great to have an organic and healthy grocery store in Langley. The only problem is that the store is tucked away and can be hard to find. This store has a great variety of groceries and vitamin products. They have a little deli section which has fresh pressed juices and wraps. I love this place with all my heart. They have such an amazing selection of specialty items. I'm vegan and go there for all my snacks because there's always something new to try out. They carry beauty products, supplements, organic produce and grocery, and the apple cafe is to die for.
