There are three sections: treadmills, rowing, and strengthening. You rotate throughout your class and every workout will be different. There is no half assing here people. You are hooked to a heart monitor and your output is put on display on one several monitors. For you bashful types, don't worry. There is no shaming and the instructor will see that you are working hard. If you are hardly working though, you will get the encouragement you need to make your workout worthwhile. In the end, it's all about YOU working at YOUR pace for YOUR own fitness goals. Hope you give it a try. It's a great gym. Happy it is in Canada now.

For a better, less flashy gym at a better price and even more convenient business hours, I strongly suggest to check out the ÉTS (École de technologie supérieure) gym a few blocks west, and open to anyone, not just students.

I actually thought he was joking, but he was completely serious! I calmly and politely explained to him that Montreal has gyms on every street corner with better or the same deals as his (year round) without outrageous policies invented over drinks by delusional business owners. He also tried to charge a sign-up fee of $50 or $100 - depending on what seemed like made up scenarios. I had to ask him: How could you have the nerve to try to to charge me for giving you my business? Avoid at all costs. I joined the YMCA and have been incredibly happy ever since.

I signed up for a 15 month pass for 100$ thinking hey, how bad could it be? Only to quit during my first and only workout. Fortunately, I was wise enough to video-record my attempt to cancel my membership, only to be berated for 7 minutes ( seriously, it's all recorded, unbeknownst to them. ) After all was said and done, I was promised a check in the mail within 10 days. One month later, I've still yet to be refunded. Today, I had enough and called them and told them that I would be posting this (100% truthful ) review unless they made an effort to refund me, rather than telling me to "call back tomorrow" for 3 straight weeks. The employee speaking with me told me he would "call the police for defamation (wtf!? Would it be "defamation"if I posted a video of excellent customer service? NO! Me posting a video of you treating your customers like s*** is not defamation! ) And to "do whatever the f*** I like." I told him that I had recorded the entire convo and would be making as big a deal as I could with it. FINALLY he called me back after hanging up on me three times and told me I could pick up my refund this Friday for the full amount less 15$ ( and that they wouldn't be sending it in the mail, too-bad, come pick it up Friday.) Price is about average for this kind of thing. Would recommend for anyone trying to work up a sweat in 30 minutes !

All you need to do it sign up and show up, they take care of the music, the warm up and the work out. The workouts are half an hour long and start from 7am and run until late into the evening so you won't have an excuse to not be able to fit it into your schedule. If you think 30 minutes doesn't sound like enough I dare you to try and tell me otherwise. They mean it when they say "high intensity". Apart from that, the coaches are superb. They will be there for you whether it is learning a new technique or pushing you to your limits. Classes at this location cap at 12 people which allows you to get some friendly competition and also some one on one with the coach if you're having trouble with something. There's a reason this place has become my second home!

As soon as you enter you can see that alot of time and effort went into planning not just the layout and decor but also the quality and functionality of the equipment. It's all brand new.....a completely renovated space with roughly 20,000 sq/ft of facilities including a big and well equipped weight and cardio room as well as boxing, yoga, pilates, spin, crossfit, etc.....everything you need to get fit. Then go relax in the well decorated locker rooms for men and women with showers, steam, sauna, sitting room w/tv, or get a massage. On the way out, grab a smoothie or one of the prepared meals on offer to take home so you don't order Domino's or stop by McDonald's on the way home and then completely negate the intense workout you just had. There are trainers on staff at all times to ensure everyone is getting the proper workout and you always have the option of taking individual or group classes. All the gym equipment was carefully researched and chosen from an Italian company called Technogym. I've been working out there for 3 weeks now and my workouts are better then they've ever been. The machines are very well made and have better range of motion and support for areas like your back then other machines I've used. Also, in our high tech world, the cardio machines (elliptical, bikes, treadmills, etc.) allow you to access the Technogym app to track your workout and accomplishments but also integrate with your Netflix account so you can binge watch all your favorite shows while sweating like an animal. The location is great as well and there is alot of parking all around. It's right behind the Home Depot on St-Jacques, which is great because you can go get your lumber and soil right after your workout.......as one does :) Over he course of many years, I've worked out at the Sanctuaire, Victoria Park, Mansfield Club, and others. B52 got it right, a nice place to workout that has everything you need and most of what you want.......I say most because there is no pool, tennis or squash. If you're looking for a new gym, this is the place.
