Been a customer here 4-5 times during recent Quincy trips. While I'm not particularly great, I do…read moreregularly practice yoga at a very nice studio in Madison, WI, a city where yoga studios abound and are in hot competition. I have had a lot of instructors over the years and rank Michelle from Yoga7even as one of the top. Her intermediate classes are nicely paced and she does a good job providing personal attention where needed. She always asks the class what they want to work on and builds her agenda around that. She also gets creative with Dharma yoga wheels and folding chairs, something I have not seen in any of the Madison studios. I look forward to making it to Quincy for SUP yoga offered by Yoga7even. I've done some light yoga on my board here on the Madison lakes, but this will take it to a new level. Quincy is fortunate to have Michelle and her great space. Check it out!

It is no exaggeration to say it was one of the best choices I have ever made for myself. Free Range Yoga offers a safe, welcoming, and peaceful environment to practice self-care. As a result, my tension has decreased, and my strength, balance, mobility, and self-care skills have greatly improved. Dawn's classes draw from the roots of yoga and abandon the notion of static postures. Instead, she instructs kind, accessible, beneficial, and safe movements to the individual body, mind, and spirit. Classes comprise various ages and skill levels, including balance work, stretching, breathing practice, and stress reduction. Dawn, Tim, and the studio atmosphere are relaxed, non-judgmental, and fun. Dawn is flexible in her lesson plans by incorporating the individual needs of each student. She is highly observant, knowledgeable, and creative, offering minor adjustments to ensure that every student is safe and kind to their body. Classes are available in the studio or over Zoom, and prices and practices are generous and fair. Dawn's authentic and compassionate nature and Free Range Yoga's business practices show that their motivations are not monetary gain but spreading kindness and well-being in the community. Open Space is my #1 favorite business in Fairfield. Open Space has a wide variety of classes, and…read moreyou can dabble in them all with the promotion that seems to run all the time: '$20 unlimited classes for a week.' You can find more about that at their website: http://openspacefairfield.com If you are new to yoga asanas, I would recommend starting with one of the Moderate Hatha classes, but if you are not a novice, you'll be comfortable jumping right into any of the vinyasa or hot yoga classes. The spin classes are fine for any level. If it is your first time to a spin class just let the instructor know and they will teach you how to adjust your bike. Similar to yoga, you get to decide how deep you go, by controlling the resistance entirely. If you're pretty intimidated by spin, try one of Diana's 'Rolling Ride, Moderate Spin' classes that she teaches in winter. Every teacher I've had at Open Space has been friendly and helpful. The fellow yogis and yoginis are also on the very friendly side. This is not just a place to practice yoga, it's a place to meet like-minded people in town. I would highly recommend the 30 day challenges that sometimes run. In the past, I have done 6 week yoga bootcamps that help me develop my practice in impressive ways, but they also leave me with injuries, like broken fingers, which ultimately set me back. The Open Space 30 day challenge is more controllable, because you get to pick from any class each day, mixing in Spin and Restorative Yoga if you desire. I spent the first 25 days of this past challenge avoiding the 'hot yoga' classes, and then discovered it is one of my favorite things ever - at least this cold winter! I felt that the challenge was just as beneficial as the bootcamp to developing my yoga, the difference being that when the challenge was over, I am not sick of yoga or injured! Open Space is a small business owned by a lovely Fairfield resident, Meghan. Open Space feels like a small positive community, one that you support and it supports you. If it is your first time, you can park in the municipal parking area behind the building, where there is also a door from the back alley. Or, you can choose to park on the square. Parking is free and easy to find! In the warmer seasons, the central location make it a very easy place to walk to. The only thing I would change about Open Space is to remove the studio mirrors. It takes me out of my practice to some degree, although, if I am honest it has probably helped me to become more aware of my alignment in some asanas. Alas, the world does not revolve around me!
