From start to finish it was pure aloha vibes and family fun! Prices: Standard train ride tickets were around $18 for adults and $13 for kids (ages 2-12) (kids under 2 are free!), and we felt it was worth every penny for the experience and memories! Parking & Arrival: There's plenty of free parking right at the train station, which made arriving super easy and stress-free. We got there a little early to soak in the atmosphere before departure! Hours & Tour Times: The train runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with departures like 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, plus a couple of other times depending on the day -- perfect for planning your afternoon. Length & Route: The whole ride is about 90 minutes round-trip, slowly chugging through scenic parts of Oahu's Leeward coast with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. The narration from the guide made the ride even more interesting! Stops & Fun: One of the best parts was the ice cream stop in Ko Olina -- we all hopped off for a cool treat at a little plaza and waved to neighbors along the way! Photo Ops Everywhere: There were so many spots perfect for photos -- seaside views, cute vintage train cars, and open-air seating made for great candid shots! Plus, we barely saw anyone else there during our ride, so it felt like we had the whole adventure to ourselves. Tips: * Arrive early to grab good seats and explore the train yard * Bring a camera (or phone!) -- the scenery is AMAZING * Don't forget a little extra cash for ice cream! The majority of the ride passes through overgrown brush, a shopping cart graveyard, and several homeless encampments. Overall, it felt like a waste of both our time and money. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend it, especially for families with young children.

I'd say the prices were reasonable, considering how much takeout and restaurant food costs these days. The burger was fat as hell and the dog wasn't Costco sized but definitely satisfied the kid. I didn't get pics of the food because I was too enthralled over the size of the patty! We spent the day also visiting the Mighty Mo, the Virtual Reality tour, and gift shop shopping also.

In my opinion the Aviation Museum was one of the cooler stops on our trip. I really enjoyed all the different types of planes and carriers they had on display. We also ate Lunch at the Cafe in the Aviation Museum and the food was delicious! The bus picked us up from the USS Missouri and dropped us off at the Aviation Museum, there was a short line to check in at the front desk of the museum before you could enter the inside portion of the museum. They had a flight simulator inside the internal museum as well as a gift shop and restaurant. The Hangar still had the original bullet holes in the glass from the Pearl Harbor attack which was a really neat part of history to be able see. They also have a section where they are restoring some planes and helicopter parts. My favorite thing they had was this wood paneled plane in the hangar. They also had some old Military trucks out front of the hangar that were really cool. I highly recommend visiting the Aviation Museum while at Pearl Harbor.

Walked over to Kapiolani park, then the tennis courts. Lopaka told us stories throughout the entire tour. You do get to participate, I don't want to give too much away. You'll walk away with memories and stories to share. There is walking involved on this tour. Bring a jacket. Park at Waikiki Shell or the metered parking between the bandstand and the tennis courts (Kalākaua Ave). I can't wait to go on the next tour!

Unfortunately, my Mini me thought she wouldn't like PACKHawaii because she knew nobody there. That all changed from the first day. In fact, she had such a blast! The staff, and volunteers were welcoming and knew all to well the feeling of not knowing anyone. They made it a fun and safe place for all the kids. Ms. Mini me decided to get up early everyday excited to go and practice. For summer, it was a whole day affair and she was ready to get out the door before I was up. Why couldn't she be like this going to school?! Anyway, performance day came and she was excited about her the whole show. The family came to cheer her on and we were amazed how great the show was! The stage looked amazing. In 2 weeks all the kids memorized their lines, learned choreography, stage presence, and memorized songs. It was impressive to see how much these kids learned in only 2 weeks. They even help make the stage, props, and programs. AMAZING! PACK has different programs. There is the summer programs, different shows to tryout, they have dance classes and offer various workshops for kids. It is such a great program and it is on the Westside!! Overall, It was priceless to see my mini me's confidence and excitement grow with each day. Thank you PACK for having this wonderful program available in the Westside. My daughter's new found love of performing came out because of PACK. She has gained so much and learned a lot about herself in just a few weeks. I can't wait to see what next summer will bring.

Westside Story is one of my all-time favorite "classic" movie & musical play and I must say, PACKids did this production justice! Who can resist singing along to "When you're a Jet," or "I Wanna Live in America," or even belt out, "take my hand and I'll take you there..." or "I Feel Pretty, oh so pretty!" PACKids really outdid themselves by singing, dancing and acting their hearts out on stage - it was truly believable and something they can be proud to have been a part of. I know I was proud to have witnessed such a beautiful musical. It's no secret, i embrace local entrepreneurial endeavors and that affinity does not end with just my purchases. I support local talent when I can. Here in west Oahu there is not a shortage of talents and skills. PACK is a local, non-profit, after school musical theatre group that puts on 4-5 musical productions in a year. Children audition for parts and should be able to sing, dance, recite and act. It's the real deal at PACK! Since moving to west Oahu I have seen School House Rock Jr., their Christmas Holiday production, Little Mermaid and now, Westside Story. These kids are amazing!! I've seen them grow with each performance and their sets get better and better. No need to drive into town anymore to catch a play at Diamond Head, Manoa Valley or Hawaii Theatre...PACKids ROCK!!
