What a show of love at this craft fair as there are so many vendors majority are all handmade items uniquely their own you know is made with pride, many are the same located at the same spot there are a few different ones at times but I do love it as they do try their best to welcome everyone. Parking is insanely limited so it can be difficult but they do try their very best to accommodate as the staff are so graciously on top of anyone that leaves to make room for anyone searching for parking. On this visit was a challenge and was so sad to see both lots was full and with that overhead that the staff had moved their own car to another location to make room for the shoppers and that there was shuttle service provided by two taxis to take us to the Okinawa Center so we didn't need to walk...how amazing is that! Because they didn't use the lot like in the past it was really crammed inside filled to a point that it was difficult to pass one someone stopped to shop but everyone did shop and I was thrilled to find a few items making it so worth the effort to support and shop small and local. Thank you! side note...I was so thrilled to find parking I left my phone in the car...no pics!

I've been coming here for a few years before the pandemic and it's one my mom and I's favorite…read moreholiday things to do. We don't have to drive far to see Christmas decorations and we can sit on the side walk to watch and enjoy! I'm really glad they came back this year! There's many houses that have decorations in their cul-de-sac on Anapau Pl. It's really nice and enjoyable to see them all. I can't believe all the hard work they put in to set everything up because they enjoy it and they know we all enjoy it. Their show hours are 7-9:30pm and each show lasts about 45 mins with a few mins in between. I wish I remembered how many songs were played but I lost count. It really is enjoyable and I hope everyones gets to experience it at least once! :)

We always have a great time at the annual Pumpkin Festival at Aloun Farms!…read more This year, they had great rides from E.K. Fernandez, including a Ferris Wheel! We had a blast. They also had the free hayride, entertainment, the pumpkin patch, sunflower patch, pony rides, and more! I love that they partner with organizations for great giveaways. My hubby won 2 RT airline tickets to anywhere Southwest flies on the mainland by winning a watermelon eating contest! Woop woop! They also had really cute staged areas for photo taking, tons of food vendors, a farmer's market, etc. You can't go wrong when there's something for everyone to do. Highly recommend checking this place out for Halloween time. Bring boots and plenty of water and sunscreen - it's hot out there, but always fun.

We went to Aloun Farms for the Fall Festival this year and overall had a nice time! It was great…read morethat the event was dog friendly. We brought our pup along and she loved exploring. The decorations were cute and festive, and the staff we interacted with were all friendly and welcoming. It was definitely crowded and a bit overwhelming, so we only stayed for about an hour. It was also really hot, which made it tough for both us and our dog. We walked around, grabbed some food, checked out the sunflowers and pumpkin patch, and then stopped by the farmers market store before heading out. The store service was quick, but one moment stood out. A young boy was trying his best to help us and do the math for our items when another staff member suddenly took over and told him, "You're going to the side. You're way too slow." It felt a little uncomfortable to witness, since the boy was clearly trying his best. I understand things can get busy, but it just didn't feel right to scold him in front of customers. Despite that, the festival itself was fun, the food and produce were great, and it's always nice to see local families and pets enjoying the day. We'll probably go again, maybe earlier in the morning next time when it's less crowded and cooler.

Tonight my family and I attended our first Bon Dance, my family and I had a good time. I found…read moreout that Bon Dances happen all over our island from June through August. It's a Japanese Buddhist tradition. This event helps honor their ancestors. The highlight of the event is the dancing. There was dancing, food, dancing, taiko drums, ANDAGI (made by hand by DA Andagi guy), dancing, Sumie & Shodo exhibition, more dancing, and a few vendors. There was no entrance fee. Parking: There was very little parking at the location of the event. There were two other designated areas that were open for this event. 1. Parking at Waipahu Christian Church. - I parked here, it was difficult walking to the event with two little kids in tow because there is no side walk. Cars were parked on the side of the road and you have to watch for on coming vehicles. 2. Waipahu Elementary School - If the lot is full and you can't find near by street parking. This lot is the better option since there is a side walk to walk to the event. Food: They sold teri-burgers, musubi's, noodles, chili & rice, hot dogs, maki sushi, mandoo and chili dogs. For dessert, they sold shave ice and Andagi made by Da Andagi guy (my favorite). There is a good sized cafeteria to eat all of your goodies. Always professional and the sweetest hairdresser Lori. This place seems to have gotten an upgrade since our last visit. The bathrooms have scan type fobs to gain entry into the bathroom. I decided to walk inside of the shopping center, and there was just a couple of vendors set up inside. I can tell from when I entered, that nothing appealed to me so we left without looking further. Otherwise, most of the shop was totally empty. This center is quite spacious with a lobby area with seats, the parking area has lots of parking. This place is located in the old Arakawa's in Waipahu. Not sure if I'll return except maybe to the open market...

Small but just what this strip of shops needed…read more I've stopped here twice, now, and have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of produce available. Nothing unusual, if you are familiar with a Thai diet. Tomato, apple banana, papaya, shredded green papaya, and the like. The shelves also hold a fair selection of noodles, cookies, and curry pastes. Again, nothing out of the ordinary. This is a tiny market, but is a welcome sight in Waipahu. The Festival Marketplace is less than a mile away, but is a nightmare to park and just too busy for me to shop in most days. This market will draw a different group of customers, as well, many of them just walking by. It is tucked around the corner from the library and government building, and just behind Arby's. I pass this shopping center a few times a day, and rarely had reason to stop. I'm glad that this has changed. I wish the owners well, and hope that they profit in this location.
