I bank with multiple institutions and Navy Federal is one of my favorites to work with. They are one of the few banks that still offer same day replacement debit card issuance. I visit this location often when I am in the Katy area. The bank is typically not packed and am quickly assisted by a bank teller or Personal Banker. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a bank coordinator that helps guide you in the right direction which is a nice touch. If you're eligible for a Navy Federal Bank Membership I highly recommend it. read more

The Village People are usually here, banking, because they're always "in the navy." When they're not here, they're staying at the YMCA. Not my favourite bank by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not too bad and gives you an alternative option if you need some local banks to consider. Having said that I could see a lot of service issues arising and not just from the other reviews but from my own limited experience coming in here. read more

Customer service here is horrible. I've been sitting for 30min waiting to hand over the vehicle title for a car I just refinanced through them. I was the only person sitting in the waiting area, but the guy behind the desk went up and started grabbing people out of the teller line (that arrived after I did). I politely asked "excuse me sir" as he walked by and in an agitated tone said that he had to help out his tellers. Since then he's grabbed two more people out of the line...there's nobody left now, I've watched every one of those people come and go. I've been a customer for 30 years, and this is the worst service I've ever received. I'm generally pretty considerate and can understand if you're trying to help out, but this was garbage. Since you've left me sitting here waiting with spare time to write a scathing review - this is what you get. And I think I'll go ahead and submit a formal complaint while I'm at it... read more

Worst ATM's ever they NEVER WORK & they take your money and you have to go thru a process just to get your deposits back from the ATMS

Horrible wait time, one teller available with 12 people waiting. I will definitely for another location because it's like this all the time.

NFCU has failed to live up to its commitments. I was banned from EVERY SINGLE NFCU because of these two employees who claimed we were prejudice. When all along these two were the ones being mean & disrespectful people. We brought a letter in basically stating that we would have to come to the actual branch to get our service because the automated system and call center workers couldn't help. Immediately entering the branch there was silence and eyes. We were greeted and told to sit down but it wasn't genuine. They paired us with a African American worker who was rude from the very first moment she laid eyes on us. She kept walking back and forth to other employees basically telling them she didn't want to service us. When we finally did get a chance to go to the desk and have a seat, we were at the desk a total of 5 mins maybe even less and I asked the worker "So basically you can't help us?" and she replied "No!" My spouse and I got up for the door and headed out of the branch. My wife actually ended up going back inside to clarify and she was told that the worker didn't want to work with us anymore because I was rude. We left and went on with our day. An hour later I get a phone call from NFCU security TELLING me and NOT asking, that I called the worker the N word. Seems to me like instead of calling to clarify the decision was made that WE were the ones who were in the wrong when really their workers are incompetent. I've received a letter in the mail stating that I am BANNED from ALL NFCU because of he say, she say. i'm super disappointed because i've never had any problems with them and it's crazy how much influence the workers have on the business. Their staff are not properly train on death notifications issues not even for a yes or no answer. I notify them on the death of my brother and explained to them that a legal document was getting prepare if need it for this financial institution. In order to add this financial institution or not to the legal document one simple question need it to be answer. Does the decease member have or not an active account? Why because you have to pay for every certified copy that will be use and I was trying to avoid unnecessary copies. I was not asking for account numbers or dollar amounts. They wouldn't answer. Later I was trying to logging to my account with this institution but I encountered logging problems. I contacted their tech support as she was working my tech issue I made the comment in regards to the death notification. To my surprise it was her who inform me that this institution do have a Survivor Support department, she later transferred my call to them. During my conversation with them was not a positive one either, they would not answer my yes/ no question, but at least they were properly notify of my brother's death. Yesterday I received a letter from the Survivor Support department asking me to call them. I call them today and they finally answered the question, my brother did closed the account, by this time it was to late. That only brought more disappointment and frustration with this financial institution for the way the handled the death notification in regards to legal documents. read more

My wife and I spent over an hour waiting for the personal bankers to assist us opening another account. The staff thought it would be wise to spend their time discussing sushi and place to go eat around town with the current client. After the 40 minute conversation the banker then refuse to attend us and requested the manager to service us. The front desk has an employee assigned and the banker begin to greet people at the door instead of helping us. I will never return back to this bank, the moment the manager helped me after an hour of waiting the banker was suddenly ready to help another member. Horrible service and a very unprofessional staff. NFCU is here to service their veterans and the veteran community but clearly this bank was not trained to do so. read more

This is my closest branch which is still 25 minutes away with no traffic. Unfortunately, we have came to get items notarized for free which is a plus being an account holder. However, when we came yesterday we were told the manager was not there and she was the only one that can do it. They said the best time to come is 10-2 because after that she will be busy with ATM and other things. So we come back again the following day at 12, just to be told that she is not there AGAIN and to come back between 3-5pm. This is horrible service. Items that are being notarized are time sensitive most of the time. Also, I do not like when employees just tell you anything so they don't have to deal with you or at least give you the accurate information so you are missing work, wasting gas, and wasting time. Things like this make people switch banks/unions all together. read more

I have been told that Navy Federal is a great bank by multiple people. I decided to switch from the USAA to Navy Federal. When I was walking inside, I was checked up and down multiple times by a male worker. He had asked if I was a Veteran or currently serving. I had told him that I was a Veteran. I had given him my ID and had went to sit down in the lobby. THEN, he had approached me again to fill out paperwork and that they could put me in the system so I don't have to wait for a long period of time . He then proceeded to ask me AGAIN, if I was a Veteran/currently serving. I had told that again, yes, I was a Veteran and had served in the Army. By him asking me multiple times if I have served or am currently serving, he gave off the impression that an attractive female cannot possibly be a part of the US military, giving off his obvious misogynistic view of females in the military. His approach toward me was in no way intended to help me open an account, but in order to variety my credentials as an Army Veteran. The disrespect and disgust this male worker was giving off to a possible new customer was disturbing to say the least. While waiting, the male worker had gone to lunch and a female worker had relieved him. I was done with my paperwork and the female worker was scrolling through social media on the computer and not even attempting to help me. Then, another female worker had approached the female and they had stood there gossiping. I had sat there for 38 minutes and no one had attempted to help me. I definitely do not recommend this branch location to anyone. The staff is rude and unprofessional. read more
