Recently watched a Navy football homecoming game here and was impressed. If you don't have a parking pass, you can nearby and take the shuttle or walk from a downtown parking garage. Parking is well run, with attendants directing you to a spot. Come earlier enough to tailgate if you can - walk around and get some swag. If you have kids, make sure to bring (or borrow one there) and cardboard box to slide down two of their hills (so fun)! Concession stands offering standard stadium fare, but at affordable prices. The stadium is fairly large, but doesn't go so high, so there are really no bad seats here. Don't forget they have a clear bag policy! read more

My family and I were guest of some Navy friends and went here for the first time. It was much larger than I expected (it holds about 34K). It was very nice inside with lots of concessions and bathrooms. Overall we had a great time and USNA won! Would definitely go back. read more

This an excellent venue. I enjoyed my lone visit to watch the Military Bowl on 12/27/23. The Military Bowl hosted Virginia Tech and Tulane - three of us drove up to support the Hokies. Tech posted a huge victory, defeating Tulane, 41-20. Kickoff was at 2:00p - we left Virginia Beach that morning around 7:00a. Traffic wasn't bad and we arrived at the stadium early enough to tailgate a little. Mind you, the weather wasn't ideal - it was cold and cloudy. The rain began maybe 30-60 minutes before kickoff. The rain increased as the game progressed - we were ready but we were SOAKED midway through the 1st quarter. The stadium doesn't look big, but it seats roughly 34K. My understanding is 35,849 people attended this Military Bowl, but it was apparent that the majority of the nearly 36K were Tech supporters. Since the stadium isn't massive, there weren't many obstructed views. We sat in a section (Class Ring Northwest) behind the end zone, so we had a fantastic view of the game. Incidentally, between the back of the end zone and our seating section is a hill (general admission - no seats) where many of the Tech students hung out. They stood, cheered and partied the entire game! Ah, to be young, haha! During the game, many fans decided to slide down an adjacent hill which, with all the precipitation, was straight up mud. It was fun to see others revel in that, and I have video of the shenanigans. Concessions were available at four locations - we entered the stadium early to grab some lunch and beat the lines. That proved to be a wise choice - we walked right up to the concession (Blue Side near Gate D) and ordered some basic foods - burgers, fries, sodas, beer. Of course, stuff is more expensive at an event, but we didn't mind. I had a cheeseburger, which wasn't bad, fries (also pretty good) and a Starry. My focus was on the game (and staying as dry as possible), but I was good with my lunch. The Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (which, incidentally, is the venue for the Naval Academy's home football games) is awesome. Not only did I enjoy a Virginia Tech victory, but I was able to take in various homages to our military (known as Memorial Plaza) in the form of statues, plaques and small monuments. JV read more

This stadium is beautiful! I've been there a few times for the Naval Academy Lacrosse programs. Parking is great, field is in great condition, etc. only issue are the lines get crazy at the concession stands, and sometimes getting around the stands can be challenging because the railings get in the way of thru traffic read more

I met college friends in Annapolis to attend the Marshall vs Navy football game on my birthday weekend in September. Actually the game was on my birthday. The Naval Academy stadium was nice. This was my the third game I've attended in the stadium and I've always had a good time. Besides the fact that my team won, the best part was the military flyover. I thought how nice of them to do this for my birthday;) My friends and I also enjoyed watching the cadets march into the stadium. It's quite the sight. We tailgated in the parking lot for a few hours and then made our way into the stadium. We sat behind the goal post. Navy only scored one touchdown but we got to see all the cadets come out of the stands and onto the field and do push-ups for the amount of points scored. That's a pretty cool ritual. If you have the opportunity to watch a game in this stadium pack up a cooler, grab some snacks and head to the stadium. read more

We got to attend a football game here while visiting our son a few months ago. We really enjoyed ourselves. I'm not a huge football fan so to me it's like a typical college stadium, but it was filled with all the amazing midshipmen and other leaders, teachers, parents, family & supporters! They had plenty of restrooms and concessions available, so of course we got a few things to share. I'm not a huge drinker so it might be normal, but bring a little extra $$ if you want a beer . Tailgating and everything that goes on was so fun and awesome to see. Again we don't go to many games so it was a pretty cool experience, not to mention they did win that game! If you don't have a season pass there are different homes and areas that you can pay to park surrounding the stadium, so if you are able you may want to get there a little early. I definitely look forward to enjoying another game or other activities they may hold there! read more

We were here for a yearly event given by The Rotary Club of Annapolis. Which is a fundraiser. They support charity for different things in the community. Wow l really enjoyed it. They offered bbq sandwiches with coleslaw. Corn on the cob. Crabs and plenty of it. They gave you 1 dozen at a time and you could come back as many times as you like and they also offered a variety of beer. Such as flying dog. Numero Uno, Yuengling lager, Miller lite and Jailbreak Feed the monkey. They offered watermelon. They sold t-shirts, hats they also had a bakesale if you were interested. The time was from 5pm till 7pm. On a Friday. They had plenty indoor seating available. It is a rain or shine event. The cost was $65.00 for adults. It was so worth it and l definitely plan on making this one of my yearly Events. read more

USNA recommends parking here when visiting the Academy. The parking lot attendant was incredibly rude and condescending.

My dad, many cousins, friends, and other family served in the Navy. My best man graduated from the academy so I was looking forward to the whole experience from the cadets marching in before the game to the singing of the Alma mater after the game. The layout of the stadium is like a ship and there is Navy decor throughout including a blue angels statue outside the stadium. Having been around Navy people and bases most of my life, you could feel the "service" in the crowd. Everyone was friendly and at the same time it just felt natural to pay these people extra respect. My "South" came out during any conversations with yes and no sirs throughout the day. Today we were cheered on my son's UCF football team to their first 6-0 start in school history. #chargeon #goknights Any other time we would be supporting Navy for sure. The canons being fired when Navy scores as well as the ship horn to get people rowdy for opposition third downs were perfect sound effects during the game. Great stadium and experience. read more

Like everyone says, they would get the 5th star if they served beer! But it's a college stadium and this is fairly typical to not serve alcohol. The vending prices are actually pretty reasonable for food. I think other yelpers mention the chicken tenders and fries. They were hot and tasty for 8 bucks. I saw some people with huge pork sandwiches that looked really good too. The stadium is really nice and this is only my 3rd game here but it's always fun. They have really nice private party rooms surrounding the entire stadium too. read more

Home of Navy Football!! Ticket prices are always reasonable and there is a great tailgate scene. In addition, you'd be remiss if you didn't catch the traditional Brigade of Midshipmen march on. Expect to hear cannons being shot after Navy scores and motivational ship's whistle blasts. Also, watch as the freshmen or Plebes do push-ups for each time Navy scores. read more

Came for the Navy -Temple game. They game was of course very crowded, however it was still pretty easy to access the building. We had pretty good seats behind the Temple team, but if you are closer to the end zone its a bit had to see whats going on down field. Its pretty cool to see how the mids enter the stadium as well as the navy bands perform. I had a funnel-cake. It was extremely doughy so i didn't eat the whole thing. Here's the low down. I come to this stadium to help my Rotary Club (the Rotary Club of Parole) direct parking. It's a fundraiser kinda thing. What I can tell you is that the fans are great (even the Visitors) and the tailgating is awesome. The stadium staff is friendly and they run a tight ship. Everything goes according to schedule and the games and various events around the games come off flawlessly. They've recently done some major upgrades to the interior of the stadium, too. New video boards, new seating in some areas. It's a nice place for a Saturday afternoon Navy game. read more

Seeing a football game at the Naval Academy should be on the list of things you need to do before you die if you want to be a guy. Anyone familiar with major college football in the Fall comes to DC and finds it a bit of a disappointment. UofM isn't that good (usually), Georgetown, Howard, Catholic, Galludet--you'll be able to count the number of fans between plays. Nothing like what a person from a Big Ten, SEC, etc. school is familiar with seeing on a Saturday in the Fall. With one exception. Games at the Naval Academy are a throwback, almost an homage to college football. The parking lot is filled with tailgates, though unlike many schools these are tailgates where it is safe to walk around with kids. A certain sense of 'discipline' and 'respect' is obvious in the parking lot and it's a far more enjoyable experience than any other tailgates I've been to around the country. Games 'start' at least 30 minutes early as you want to be in place to watch the 'March On' of the Brigade of Midshipmen. All 4000+ march onto the field, give a few cheers and then head over to the student section where they yell most of the game. A few minutes before kick off it's normal to see a couple of alums come flying past the stadium in a fighter jet, roaring up the crowd. Both are quite the spectacle. The stadium has four 'sections' -- Blue Upper, Blue Lower, Gold Upper, Gold Lower. Students site in the Blue Lower on the North endzone, and the Pentagon brass is often at the 50 yard line in the Blue Lower. Gold Upper and Lower face the Sun during the afternoon, which is either a 'strain on the eyes' or 'a warming effect (in cold months). The North end zone is the 'Hill' for families, where kids run around on the grass. My recommendation is to get someplace where you can see and 'hear' the Midshipmen. The first few rows of the upper Blue, or the lower Blue toward the middle, or on the hill next to the Mids. Having the entire student body near you adds a bit of energy to watching the game. Afterwards people often head downtown Annapolis for a dinner. Games at the Academy are a great way to spend a Saturday, especially if you are longing for the crowds of a big college football Saturday. read more

I'm going to get beaten for giving it 4 stars by my USNA family. Please don't think I hate it, for the memories here are BEYOND fantastic. Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is great for Navy Football. Last minute interception from the '08 homecoming against Rutgers? CHECK. Last minute first down from the '09 homecoming against Wake Forest? CHECK. Magical things happen at this stadium. The layout is great and the views of the field are fantastic. From the upper level, egh... not so much but you can see the jumbo tron well enough. Sissy graduated here last May and I got to watch Obama speak. As a liberal Republican I do declare he won me over. Something about seeing him support the Mids really won be over. Regardless of whether or not it was not written by him, it sounded great. The moral watching a football game here is unlike any other. Fans in every seat... except perhaps on a thunderstorm day but head over to the Goat Locker and buy yourself a poncho. If the Mids can have it out, so can you. Need food? Small variety but what's there is good. I recommend the chicken strips and an Italian sausage from Red White and Blue If you get a chance, def take in a game. You don't have to be a Navy fan to enjoy it. Get there early to watch the march on of the Midshipmen. Seriously, makes you feel proud to be an American. PS: It would have reigned in 5 stars if they served booze. GO NAVY! read more

My First time to the stadium as not a mid. apparently they don't let you switch sides.(My family was on the visitor side for the Hawaii game, I was on the USNA side with a classmate.) Also the stadium is dry, so you have to head out to the tailgates to get some beers. Get the boardwalk fries chicken strips with lots of ketchup! Kids still slide down the grass, so bring an old cardboard box! The mids don't sing or cheer as much as when I was there. Not really sure what's changed... read more

If you're going to have a commissioning ceremony for the Naval Academy, this is the place to be! Despite the rain, cold and policy of 'no umbrellas', the experience was pretty cool. We didn't really get up and walk around this visit due to weather (and we had to leave our umbrellas at the entrance gate), but there is an excellent end zone memorial display. Obviously, there are plenty of Navy themes throughout the site. They did an excellent job renovating this place in 2005. read more

Woah...there is a stadium in Annapolis?!? Yeah, it's clear that I'm not a huge sports fan, but my husband is a huge fan of all sports and when he found out that Maryland has a professional lacrosse league, we got tickets immediately. The stadium is much smaller than mega stadiums like Camden Yard, Fed-Ex field and the like, so it's not as glitzed out with amenities and different food vendors. However, the food that they did have was pretty decent (we got the pit pork and the pit beef from one of the little grill vendors) and pretty damned cheap. We were able to get first row tickets at the 50 yard line and the view was great (especially as I have since discovered that lacrosse players are *hot*. Why didn't anyone tell me this earlier???), and because we were in the "gold seats", the usher for our section did a really great job of making sure that only ticket holders sat in our section. Yes, I know, it sounds really elitist, but it's not. Instead it keeps all of the obnoxious 10 year old kids whose parents bought nosebleed seats, and is so over dealing with their screaming brats that they tell them to run down to the front row (far away from them - so they can't even keep an eye out on their kids - which is simply brilliant in this day and age of predators), to come and become *my* problem. However, instead of having to smack them down and come off as the uber kid-hating b*tch (and I'm not - I love kids...I just hate the *parents* of the kids), the ushers asked to see their tickets and then kindly asked them to return to their seats (and parents). *AWESOME*. The only "negative" I would give about this stadium is that because it is older and not as fancy schmancy, means that the bathroom lines can get long (since the ladies' bathrooms only had like 8 stalls in them), and the lack of fancy concession stands means that you're stuck with only beer as your only beverage of choice (no margarita bars...no martini bars...just...Bud. Bud Lite). Still, the stadium is well maintained, and since I've discovered that lacrosse players are super hot - we will definitely be looking into getting season tix for next year. Heh. read more

I had the pleasure of attending this years Commissioning ceremony for my cousin here. Aside from the constant drizzle of rain, it was really something to experience. Such an inspirational place. There are plenty of bathrooms and concessions to hit up if you need. Thankfully there was Midshipmen gear shop that was selling a surplus of rain ponchos and sweatshirts for the craptastic weather we ended up with. Way to be prepared!! I think the ONLY thing that would make this stadium better would be for them to change their no alcohol policy, but I get it. If you ever have the opportunity to come here for a game or ceremony, DO NOT pass it up. You will not regret the experience. read more

Parking was awful, even though we had a parking pass. Asked multiple parking attendants about handicap parking and no one knew anything about it. As we walked closer to the stadium from afar, handicap parking spots were right in front of the entry gates. When we went to locate our seating, there was no one available to guide us to our section. I've been coming to watch games here for what seems like an eternity. The stadium as changed, all for the better. I was concerned when the grass field was replaced, but why I don't know. The continuing, thoughtful expansion makes this facility a jewel. I am skyways proud to see the mids march on, brings amazing memories back.
