One of my closest friends got married over the weekend at Nazareth Hall and it was amazing from start to finish. Very unique venue that was the perfect spot to celebrate a new marriage. Staff was friendly and attentive. The appetizers were pretty cold and we had just gotten there. Besides that though everything was amazing. Been to Nazareth Hall for numerous functions and absolutely love the place! The historic feel of the venue is palpable. The charm of the Cadet West ballroom is magnified by the original windows, pillars and chandeliers. Been to several food tastings and never been disappointed. This is a well managed venue. My sister had her wedding here in December and it was spectacular in this beautiful rural-Ohio location. The people at the hall did a great job of making sure everything came together, and we had a coordinator with us the entire wedding day who took care of any last-minute needs, got everyone in the right place at the right time, and made sure the bridal party and families took time to eat, drink and breathe. There was another wedding in the hall a few hours prior, and their reception was going on during my sister's ceremony. We were really concerned you would hear their music or have a lot of their people out and about while we were celebrating, but the people at Nazareth have this down to a science and we had no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the area! read more

This was a beautiful spot for a Fall wedding. My friends got married down in the grotto which was very picturesque. The reception was held under a tent not too far away. My main complaint is that my friends had cupcakes instead of cake and the staff laid them all out during the ceremony, and when we walked over for the reception they were covered in bees and bugs. I can't imagine that that hasn't happened before so why they were displayed ahead of time is confusing. After an extremely long time, the staff finally wrapped them back up, but by that point all the guests had seen the issue so when it was time to serve the cupcakes they were barely touched. read more

My experience with Nazareth Hall was less than desired. They served my bridal party moldy cheese while we got ready, they completely omitted an entire entree from our dinner and just to finish it off-- they put my wedding dress in the lost and found. My mother forgot to grab my dress when we left the facility and meanwhile had thought my sister grabbed it. The venue had my dress for more than a month and never called us. Attended a wedding and reception here on NYE.... First and foremost - find their website and get directions based on the information there. Mapquest, etc. will not necessarily take you to the right place and this is not in a highly populated area. We would have driven well by it had I not seen a pic of it online. This was a school at one time, and you can still peer down a locker lined hallway while you have cocktails and appetizers. The service was good and attentive, the bartenders friendly and accomodating, and the ambiance unique for an occasion such as this. There is a chapel upstairs, which seems open to any denomination as far as I could tell, and the old dining hall is the dining room. It appeared to hold approximately 125 -150 comfortably with a dancefloor, but not much more than that. Food was pretty good - we had choice of Ahi tuna, pasta, or steak/chicken. Our tuna was cooked perfectly medium, and served with rice pilaf and asparagus. The chef came out and helped with service which in my experience is unusual and a positive indication that they care about making sure things go well. Again, servers were pleasant and we always had water, even later into the evening. The only minus was the fact that we never got or were even offered coffee. I did see coffee, but not in the vicinity of our table. This seems to be where most places struggle if they do. Overall a unique, cool place to have your wedding and reception if you're in the Toledo/Bowling Green area. Just don't get lost... read more

We just had our wedding here and it was amazing! We planned to get married in the grotto but it ended up raining so they gave us the chapel as a back up. We were a little bummed but it was still perfect! We worked mostly with Abby and a little bit with Rachel and they were so helpful in planning everything! Or hostess the day of was super helpful in keeping everything in line and keeping things going! We got time of compliments on the venue and even more compliments on the food! We attended a wedding at this gorgeous location on New Years Eve. A former Catholic boys' school, Nazareth Hall has been used for banquets since the 1970's. The manor-like structure sits in middle of a desolate stretch of countryside...our Google Maps directions were wrong and we were driving through dark cornfields at night, but thankfully the huge building was well-lit so it was obvious that this was our destination. The ceremony took place in a beautiful but simple chapel on the second floor with the reception on the ground floor. The foyer housed a grand piano, beautiful Christmas decorations and several tealight candles. It was absolutely gorgeous. The banquet area was equally stunning, flanked by stained glass windows and marble tile floors. The groom's family who organized the wedding spared no expense. We enjoyed a full open bar with top shelf liquor. Our friends, one of whom is a trained somelier and is the F&B/Operations director for a prestigious performing arts facility in Dayton, were very impressed with the wine selection (actor Fred McMurray's vineyard and Louis Martini). We enjoyed butler-passed bacon-wrapped scallops and shrimp, and my dinner was a large, well seasoned, perfectly cooked piece of ahi tuna with asparagus and wild rice. My husband had beef fillet, cooked rare which is a rarity for banquet service, and wonderful mashed potatoes. The servers were excellent (despite setting our table for five when it needed to be set for six). Water was quickly refilled, wine and Champagne service were offered, the staff didn't rush anything or clear tables while there were still guests present. If I lived in Toledo or Bowling Green, I would absolutely hold an event here. It was just wonderful. read more

I love Nazareth Hall! My wedding was last weekend and I cannot find enough great things to say about the venue and its fantastic staff. The building and grounds are beautiful, quiet, clean, and everything I had hoped for. Megan and Samantha assisted me throughout the planning process and on the big day, and these ladies are amazing. They were so calm, friendly. and encouraging. The chefs are wonderful, and the food was delicious. Each staff member was courteous and helpful and kept the day running smoothly. We (wife, son, granddaughter and I) just returned from Nazareth Hall from Sunday Brunch. The food was excellent, atmosphere superb and a courteous wait staff. The coffee was rich and bold and deserts were tastey . It was well worth the drive. Recommended for everyone including children and it was at a reasonable cost. read more

My husband and I love going to eat at the Nazareth Hall. In fact, we miss going to it during the summer and fall, when it is open only for catered events. The food prepared is delicious, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the price is very reasonable. The dining room reminds me of West Point Academy. We also attended a winter wedding here. The chapel is upstairs. The ceremony took place in the evening, and the entire chapel was lit with candles. It was one of the most intimate and romantic weddings I have ever attended! My husband and I were married at Nazareth Hall on 9/4/2010. We can not say enough about our experience with the staff and what a wonderful job they did to make our wedding day so special. From the very beginning, they were there to answer any of our questions and walk us through the entire process. We had our rehearsal dinner at the hall the night before the wedding, and the food was awesome! The staff took care of everything! On the wedding day, we had a hostess that was assigned to us for the entire day, and she took care of anything we needed. From making sure we had enough to eat and drink before the ceremony, to bringing us cold ice water immediately after the ceremony, to making sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire evening. Their care, professionalism and attention to detail made our wedding day spectacular and we wouldn't have wanted it anywhere else. Nazareth Hall was definitely the best place to get married and I would recommend it to anyone! The staff is extremely helpful, I was able to plan this wedding from across the country and everything went perfectly thanks to the help of the staff. I can't say enough good things about Nazareth Hall! We recently had our wedding and reception here and everything was perfect! Having worked here throughout high school and college, I had very high expectations. Nazareth Hall absolutely lived up to my expectations and then some! Natalie in the office was absolutely wonderful to work with! She was very quick to respond to every single question I had (and I had a lot, lol!) and made it incredibly easy to plan everything from out of town. The staff for the day of our wedding was awesome, including our hostess, Sydney, who took such great care of us and always seemed to appear right when we needed her! The food was absolutely divine (we had passed Hors d'oeuvres- bruschetta, oriental chicken bites, and spanakopita, as well as a buffet dinner- chicken florentine, braised beef with gravy, garlic mashers, and california blend), and of course the building itself is just unbelievably beautiful.
