On the hot days of summer, Howard Hopkins Memorial Pool is a great place to come and swim a few…read morelaps or splash around as an individual or a family/group. During August and September, especially, when temps are in the 90s and 100s (degrees Fahrenheit) the pool is a perfect reprieve from the heat. The perfect recipe here is the hot days that are also windy. Because the pool is at the base of the Cascade Mountains it doesn't get as much natural airflow/wind normally. However, on the windy and hot days, the wind provides a cooling mechanism while sitting out on a lawn chair on the pool deck. There are some parking spots reserved for patrons of the pool in a parking lot bordering the pool. The rest of the lot is open to everyone, so it can get a bit crammed during the summer and on busy days during prime-time tourism season in Leavenworth. If staying not too far from the pool, I would recommend walking if possible.

My family came to this pool on a Monday evening for open swim. It's salt water and chlorine. No…read morediving board but we were told next year they hope to build a slide. Our five year olds loved it for playing, but one of us adults disliked the lap pool. We'd definitely come back. Pros: -inexpensive, $6 per non-resident, babies free -the water is warm, we were told the water is 86 degrees by 6am -an entire kids play area with a small slide, fountains, and a zero entry pool -a large lap swim area -plenty of space outside the pool to put your stuff -indoor lockers for a quarter -a couple showers in locker rooms Cons: -didn't see a baby changing station anywhere -the showers were pretty gross with handfuls of hair and old abandoned soap -lockers are small, maybe enough room for a towel or purse (not both) -lap pool is very warm, warmer than the kids area, so my friend couldn't do more than two laps without feeling very uncomfortable

Healthy snacks are provided during each 3hr session and he always has a fun art project to share with me. My husband and I participated in the Parent Education Workshop, through which we learned techniques for positive communication, potty training, etc. and are experiencing impressive results! We are looking forward to celebrating our son's fourth birthday party at TEAMS (that's right, they book birthday parties)! Our family is so grateful to have TEAMS in our community.

I know with confidence that my child is living her best life when enJoying a TEAMS session. TEAMS does a wonderful job of providing a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment for young children. They can grow, explore, and flourish in a world built just for their young minds. Joy and her amazing team of teachers work hard to make sure every student gets to have their best day at school, each and every time they go. The curriculum is absolutely amazing and worth taking a look at. Sometimes it may strike an idea for an outside of the school family activity that fits the theme of her friday session, that we can do together on the weekend. My  child  shows  confidence  in herself and the art she creates and brings home to me. Proudly displayed on the fridge, she will tell me about her friends and teachers. After being in the house during the pandemic for most of her life, the socialization is so important. Thank you TEAMS!!!
