What am I going to do next? How can I earn a living and feel fulfilled? How do I create a career…read morepath that incorporates my beliefs and my natural talents? These questions have reappeared throughout my life.  Even as a child, I was excited and passionate about whatever it was that I was going to do in the distant future. The hurdle was figuring out what "it" was that I wanted to do! In the meantime, life went on, I earned a good income, worked hard and put off solving those nagging questions. Three weeks before my executive level position was eliminated, I decided it was time to find the answers. I researched executive coaches and decided upon Jody Michael Associates (JMA) based on reviews just like this one. I spoke with Jody who listened, assessed my situation and referred me to Nancy Scheel based out of the Atlanta Office.  Thank goodness I made the decision to work with Nancy. I am not sure I would have approached being out of work with such enthusiasm had it not been for our time together. Nancy is a one of kind, gifted and compassionate advisor. She is strong, sharp and unlike any person I have ever met.  Her job is unique and challenging.  After our time together, I still ponder over the research, education, training and passion it must have taken for her to be so great at what she does.  Her scientific approach to discovery is accompanied by a compassionate and genuine interest in those she coaches.  Nancy, over time and using the JMA methodology, compiled a comprehensive, measurable assessment of the real me. She helped to untangle my past, assess my strengths and plot forth a course of action. The JMA approach uses a fine-tuned, time-tested and verified method of career and self discovery. The JMA curriculum cannot be found in a book or achieved alone.  The secret to success is doing your homework and working with the highly skilled and professional career coaches at JMA.  The result of working with Nancy and JMA was a developing a set of tools unique to me that provide confidence, clarity and strategic next steps for achieving my career goals.  Our work together confirmed that I am an entrepreneur. In addition, we identified the type of team I want to work with and the values that my business must uphold to meet my expectations for success. Going forwarded, I know exactly what it is that I need to do to achieve my desired goals. Consequently, I also know what doesn't work for me and what I do not want to do. What a gift!  Thank you Nancy and Jody!

Beware of their business practice…read more I don't even know where to start. This is a billing practice, not a mental health practice. On 08/14/2026, I had an appointment scheduled with Erica Chesser. I'm a caregiver for my parents, and as I was leaving for my appointment, my father had an accident. Obviously, I couldn't attend -- this was a genuine family emergency, not a scheduling inconvenience. I sent an email that Saturday explaining exactly what happened with my dad, well before the appointment, in good faith. That email was never even responded to. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. Instead, I was simply charged a $105.00 cancellation fee. Their policy requires 48 hours' notice to cancel, which is double the standard 24-hour policy most practices use -- and completely unworkable when an actual emergency happens with zero warning. As if that wasn't enough, on Monday 08/17/2026 I called to book a new appointment with Erica Chesser. I was told she had availability the next day and booked for 10:00 am. When I showed up, she told me admin had made a mistake -- whoever booked the appointment was looking at the following week's schedule instead of the current one. So now I'd wasted a trip on top of everything else. I brought up the fee, hoping to find some kind of resolution given that it was a genuine emergency and the office had just made its own scheduling error on top of it. Instead, Erica Chesser claimed they'd already waived a fee for me once before for a previous emergency -- something I honestly don't recall happening. Rather than actually discussing it, she rushed me out of her office and told me to go sort it out at the front desk myself. No apology. No acknowledgment that they had made an error. Just: not my problem, go deal with it elsewhere. There was no flexibility, no compassion, and not even the basic courtesy of a reply to my email -- yet somehow the office can't keep its own calendar straight, and when they mess up, they can't even own it to your face. For a mental health practice, you'd expect at least a baseline understanding of stress, caregiving burdens, and emergencies. Instead, the message was clear: pay up, don't expect a response, and if they screw up, that's the front desk's problem, not theirs. I reached out in good faith, tried to resolve it fairly, and got radio silence, a bill, a wasted trip, and a provider who couldn't be bothered to say sorry for her own office's mistake. If you're looking for care that treats you like a person instead of a revenue stream, look elsewhere.
