We had our house reroofed a year and a 8 months ago. This first part of the review is for that…read moretime. It looked great. The 3 pictures that show a house being roofed above are of my house. He was fast, friendly and a reasonable price. He cleaned up all the mess and I only found 2-3 nails after he left (which I think was great). He even bought me a new push broom after he asked to use my old push broom and it broke on him (which it was old so it's not a big deal and I told him he didn't have to). For that time I'd give him 5 stars. We'd even referred his company to several friends based on this work. Now, fast forward a year and 8 months to now. Apparently while they were applying shingles they got off w/ the nails and miss hit 4 of them and after all that time, the weight was to much and they fell off. Which I can imagine that happens some due to the fact nobody is perfect and I had a lot of shingles. I called him on a Thursday and left a message. I called again on Friday and again on Sunday. It was supposed to rain on Wednesday so I needed to know if he could be there by then or if he could not then I would get someone else. So I called him a second time on Sunday and he finally answered. I told him I wanted it fixed before the forecasted rain hit on Wednesday. He said they had been out of pocked and apologized for not getting back to me sooner and said he'd be there Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around, so I call and no answer. I left a message. I call again on Wednesday. He answered and apologized again. He said a family emergency had come up and he forgot to call me to tell me he couldn't make it and said he'd be there Thursday. Luckily we missed the rain. Thursday comes and goes, he'd not been there. On Friday I call him and leave a message. I called and left messages on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. The forecast again called for rain starting Tuesday night. He never calls me back. I called other roofers and they said the earliest they could get to me was Friday. It rained...a lot...Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My ceiling got wet on the inside due to the leaky roof. If Charles Sharp roofing could not have gotten to me just tell me. I could have got another roofer and had mine fixed before it rained. No hard feelings, I understand companies are busy and have to turn some work down. Don't tell me you can come and fix it and then not show up and never call or return a call. Now I have to fix a wet spot on the drywall of the ceiling. Overall, he initially did a great job but his follow up customer service is horrid. I will not continue to recommend him purely for that reason.
