NEGATIVE REVIEW FAILS TO DO JUSTICE! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
If it were possible to give negative stars, even that would be more than this business deserves. Please know that a similar shot lies just across the breezeway in Piccadilly Arcade from which you should buy/rent.
The Brown's Hotel referred us to Neal and Palmer (N&P) to rent a tuxedo for the London Stock Exchange Awards, and I've notified their Concierge of the poor treatment we received. Once notified, the David, the Brown's head Conceirge, immediately intervened and contact the store to resolve the matter. I am extremely grateful for the Brown's quick and graceful handling of N&P's poor service.
Bad service escalated to terrible service when N&P accused us of losing a pair of cufflinks. Rather than arguing, I agreed to pay for them, but was surprised when they requested £59 for a VERY used pair, claiming that they were new, silver plated w/ real crystals. All I can say is that I wish I had a picture to show everyone the poor condition in which they were... and by the store employee's own assertion - they were the spare pair the store kept for folks to use when trying on shirts.
While I agreed to pay the £59, I let them know that I would post an appropriate review online about my experience to which I received a series of threatening and disrespectful email. I will include the entire exchange below so that you can read it for yourself.
I'll close by saying - BUYER BEWARE!

Sir/Madam:
My email was not a threat, but my right as a consumer. When we spoke in your store, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service we received... and I'm further disappointed by your escalation of my disappointment that you would suggest the used cufflinks you provided had a value of even £59, much less £89.
Despite my belief that your charge is excessive, I agreed to pay the £59 fee you required. But I am not obligated to believe you've been fair nor obligated to withhold your customer service tactics from the public.
Not only will I leave an appropriate review online - where I will include your email below - but I will contact the Brown's Hotel, who referred us to you, to let them know of our experience so they never again refer a guest to you.
Best,

Dear Sir
Thank you for threatening us, the goods rented were not owned by you or your company..
Please kindly take note that if you post an online review we have a signed contract in your name stating you are liable for the loss and damage for items which are in your possession.
I will equally post a review on your company's website with this email thread and the signed contract in your name stating your unreasonable behaviour and unacceptable conduct after not returning the items on rental even though we have paperwork to prove your liability including this email.
I suggest you don't push your luck as I will contact the browns hotel to inform them of your behaviour.

Understood. I still think this is unreasonable, but I will leave it at that and accordingly post a review online.

Dear Sir
We gave your boss a brand new pair of cufflinks to use and they were real crystal not plastic and these were silver plated.
We do not rent or hire cufflinks, we expected all the items we had given you to be returned back together and on time.
The full price for the crystal cufflinks is £89
We have charged your Amex for the amount of £59 as the one item (pair of crystal cufflinks remains lost/ unreturned.
If you can arrange the return of these items a pair of cufflinks we will refund the amount of £59 back on to your card.

I do not mean to be difficult - but that is the price of a new set and the pair you lent was not in good condition... very used. Please suggest a more fair price.
Thank you.

Thank you for reaching back out. Unfortunately, we do not know where the cufflinks went. What would we need to pay to purchase the used, missing pair?
Thanks,
