Another beautiful New England lighthouse just off the main road. We were in search of a scenic place to park to eat our takeout and absolutely scored with this place! A nice sized parking lot with grassy areas and rocks for people to sit and hang out to enjoy the beautiful scenery. With this being such a nice area to visit we will no doubt be back again very soon!

What a great spot! The grounds are lovely, the lighthouse is adorable and the ocean view is spectacular! Great place for a picnic or to just sit and breath in the beautiful fresh air while taking in all the beauty that surrounds us!!!! Plenty of parking too!!

Make a stop here - it's quick & worth it! An awesome spot to go watch the boats come in and out of the harbor. The lighthouse is awesome and actually comes on and flashes at night time. There is a small beach with access to a sandbar on one side, a couple covered shelters on the other. There is restrooms in the middle area but I don't think they are 24/7. I have been coming to Mattapoisett since a child and Ned's Point is a staple in this town!

Gorgeous views of the waterfront on very well kept grounds. Perfect place to enjoy lunch or even just to relax and take in all of the wonderful scenery this spot has to offer!

One of the few lighthouses on this South Coast area that you can access without going for a swim! Beautiful view out towards Cuttyhunk. This seems to be the place to go to have your prom/homecoming/formal dance photos taken. Carload after carload of High School students and their parents kept arriving to take photos.

At the entrance to Mattapoisett (stop correcting me, IThing--that's the way it's spelled) Harbor is Ned's Pt. Lighthouse which was built in 1838 and still works! What craftsmanship! Surrounded by a small park, there is parking, beaches and a magnificent and unobstructed view of the Elizabeth Islands as well as surrounding Buzzard's Bay. It's located at the end of a small street, Ned's Pt. Rd. that winds through a neighborhood. There are restrooms, picnic tables and a grass area. From the looks of things, it's not that busy as it's in an out-of-the-way location. Yet another New England gem!
