Needed to have one ear repierced. The ear was originally pierced with a gun, about 50 years ago and due to an illness it grew shut. I made an appointment with them because of the fantastic ratings by other customers. Mike was just fantastic walked me through everthing they do. No gun piercing just a gentle needle! I never realizzed when he did it. Got 2 trainer earrings one for each ear so they would match! Very clean building, door is kept locked to the outside all the time after you are admitted. I took my 14 year old daughter in to have her ears pierced (her first piercing ever). We were a bit nervous as many piercing and tattoo places are a bit scary for a 14 year old girl. Piercing Pagoda/Claire's at the mall seemed more our speed, but I did some research and felt that the process used (with hollow core needle) was a superior method vs a piercing gun. So after some further research, I opted for Needful Things. Here is what we experienced... Highly professional. They required that I sign and notarize a permission form from the State of Florida (for underage kids), and checked IDs when we got there. Extremely Clean. The place is immaculate. The piercing room is like a doctors office! Communication. They were super helpful and educated us throughout, from the time that I first called to the moment I walked out the door. We felt empowered and know what to do with the aftercare and am confident that if we need them for anything, they are a phone call away. They even handed us a card with all the important information - including specifics to what was done (needle size, etc.), who performed the work, etc. for future reference. Kind and Patient. Robert was simply the best. He made sure she was on -board every step of the way. Helped us with the stud selection. Allowed me to be in the room with them, checked and double checked that the holes were perfectly placed. Seriously, he was over the top careful and sensitive to the fact that she had never been pierced. My daughter said it did not hurt at all - and is sooo happy with the results. The talent of both the tattoo artists and piercers is over the top. If they don't feel comfortable with completing your request, they will NOT use you as a guinea pig. Love this place. Savanna is doing work on my husband's back piece, we don't get in as often as we would like to continue the work but when we do find the time, she is AMAZING! This started as a house tattoo and she is transforming itno a true masterpiece. Needful Things is as clean as they get! You cannot find a single flaw here. The location allows for them to continue the work and I can browse through some very unique shops, grab a bite or sit by the water and watch boats and people go by. Well worth the wait (she's usually booked months in advance). Although we haven't used the other talented folks here, yet, their customers seem quite pleased as they leave and the work they do is top quality. 5 Stars for Codi all around great and amazing. I previously had my septum pierced, years prior at a different shop and had a horrible experience. I let Codi know my concerns and fears. I was extremely nervous and worried because of my previous experience but he reassured me it wouldn't be like that at all. He took his time to listen to what I wanted. My biggest concern besides the after care was being able to flip the septum up and out of the way during the work week. Codi was very professional, thorough, patient and informative. All through out he explained what he was doing or what would happen. Checking in with me every step of the way to make sure I was doing fine. When he finally got to the piercing part I didn't even feel a thing. Even when he said the hardest part would be putting the jewelry in I didn't feel any discomfort. I was happily shocked and surprised at how quick and painless the whole process was with him. Complete 180 from previous piercing experience. Codi did an absolute phenomenal job with my septum. He takes great care of his clients. He cares about their well being. Even when he could have just made a quick buck with us walking in last minute. He told us to come back the next day so he could give us a better experience and didn't want to rush through the process and give us the best care posible. He's very informative about what he's doing. He's also fixed a couple of my previous piercings done at a different shop, like my tragus (which started to close up) and my daith. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a nose piercing. I came here for the first time almost a year ago and waited a few months for my piercing to heal before putting a ring in. It ended up looking awful so Codi pierced it again. I had to wait several more months before I could change the stud to a ring and it looks even worse this time. I told him both times that I didn't want to keep a stud in there and that I wanted a ring, so I'm not sure why keeps getting angled so weird. He told me to wait two months before changing it, but both times I'd come in after two months he'd tell me to keep waiting without even bothering to look at it. He said come in after waiting an extra month, but still wouldn't look at it even then. Since he wouldn't even bother looking at it or listening to me, I went to Pleasures of the Flesh. The people there are much friendlier, and actually look and listen. I got it changed that same day. It's really annoying having to wait nearly a year to get a nose ring to look the way I want it to, especially when it costs nearly $100 each time and I ended up going to another shop anyways. read more

When we first arrived, we were ignored. They helped somebody that walked in after us first. I wasn't impressed with their customer service but I made an appointment to talk to somebody about getting my very first tattoo. I was on my way to the appointment when I received a call telling me they had to reschedule. This was 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Apparently the person they scheduled me with wasn't even supposed to be in until 1 and they made my appointment for 11:15. So needless to say I'm very disappointed with this establishment and will be finding a new place to get my first tattoo. read more
