I would never recommend this practice to anyone. I have already sent a detailed letter to their corporate office. Suffice to say, it will take you days, if not weeks for a return phone call even when you indicate the urgency of your call. It took them over two months to deliver a simple bridge. The more I inquired about status, the nastier they got. Currently, this bridge broke while I was eating some rice. Called them to talk about resolution and it ended up with a nasty verbal confrontation. The answer is always that they are too busy to return phone calls, which means you can't resolve your issue, EVER. The patient should not have to experience this, especially when they are in pain or distress. I am writing to you today as a typical, loyal patient over the last 10 years as well as my family. It saddens me that I have had to write this letter. I am not usually one to complain and I am quick to forgive and forget, especially when past interactions over the years, have always been extremely positive, but given the high level of frustration and disappointment over such a long period of time, I felt compelled to take the time to do this. The purpose of this letter is to detail a complete breakdown in communications and customer service at the Neibauer Dental Practice located at 5630 Plank Road, Fredericksburg, VA. I must begin by stating that Dr. Madad and her clinical team are EXCEPTIONAL. Their skill, kindness, compassion, and professional support have been outstanding throughout my treatment, and they are not the subject of this complaint. My issues lie entirely with the administrative and management side of this practice, which has demonstrated a lack of accountability and communication. The situation began with the start of my dental work on May 14, 2025, which involved the extraction of two teeth to prepare for a partial bridge. I returned on May 29 for a third extraction and to have the molds created for the partial. An appointment was set for July 9, 2025, for the bridge to be delivered. Upon my arrival, I was informed for the first time that the vendor had broken the mold and that a new digital scan of my mouth would be necessary so it could be sent to the vendor to recreate the mold. The technician was apologetic and promised the case would be "expedited," and I would have the partial in a week or at the most, two weeks. I spent the next several weeks waiting for the call to come in and pick up the partial. I had been walking around with three front teeth missing since the middle of May. On July 28, 2025, I called the office at 8:32 AM, left a detailed message requesting an update, and received no response the entire day. A week later, on August 4 at 3:25 PM, I left another message, this time with a more urgent tone, and again, my call was not returned. At this point, my husband got involved and he called and left a message on August 5 at 12:44 PM, clearly expressing his concern and asking for a return call. No return call. On 8/6/25 he left another message with a decidedly different tone requesting a call back by close of business. Again, no return call. On the morning of August 7, my husband delayed going to work and drove 35 miles to Neibauer, in person to get an answer. He arrived at 9:00 AM to be told by the helpful, friendly front office staff that they had found the bridge and they had just called me and left a voice message to schedule an appt for later in the day. Honestly, they were the heroes of the day. Kudos to them!! When we arrived at 1:00 PM for the delivery of the bridge, my husband and I attempted to speak with someone in charge of office operations. We were informed that the Regional Manager had been in the office earlier in the day but had now left for the day and there was no one on site that could speak to us. The Manager was also not on site at 9:00 AM when my husband arrived earlier that morning. We were told that the Regional Manager was not there and would not be in until next week. When I asked for her email address to send a direct complaint, my request was denied. We were informed that her contact information could not be shared and that there was no one else we could speak to in her absence. I was told a note would be left directly on her PC to return my call upon her return. Who does this in this day and age? and why is there no way to reach anyone via email? If I could leave 0 stars I would... I have never had a cavity or tooth pain of any kind. So when I woke up a few weeks ago with a gum abscess I was shocked and wanted to take care of it as soon as possible. I went into the office and was seen by Dr. Madad. She was the worst dentist I have ever seen. She made me cry and wouldn't show the x ray for what she claimed to see. She said I would need a root canal. I have had no pain in the back teeth or any mouth pain leading up to the abscess whatsoever so this was hard to hear. She rushed me along and had a terrible bedside manner. She also wouldn't let my husband and child be back with me. When comprehending the visit, I was very upset. I then went to get a second opinion at serene smiles which was an amazing dentist office. It was night and day difference and I DON'T NEED A ROOT CANAL. I have an infection cyst from the nerves etc from my wisdom teeth. The root canal would not do a thing to help (serene smiles and the oral surgeon said) I need to have the oral surgeon I was referred to cut the infection out and will not have to have any teeth pulled. BOTH doctors that I saw at different offices after Dr. Madad have been professional and kind. This experience still haunts me and due to our type of insurance I would go as far as to say it seemed transactional and that she didn't even take the time to look at what was going on. read more

I had dental work done by Dr. Marion Williams, at the La Plata location. She was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She took great care of me throughout the procedure and explained everything as she went along. She always asked me if I was okay and really treated me with dignity, and respect - as if I was her family. I am so grateful for the work she did, I have taken my daughter, my parents, my sister and my niece to be seen by her! Highly recommended, and the staff was very pleasent. read more

My wife had two teeth break and is in a great amount of pain. She calls neibauer on Warrenton road because they said they could put her to sleep and pull the teeth. We drive there and and my wife fills all this paperwork out thinking they are going to help her. She is in there for a hour and comes out. They took x rays and did a examination. Then preceded to tell her that is all they could do for her. That the work was to extensive for them. So they did absolutely nothing for her but charge us money and ask if she wants to schedule a cleaning. Why would we go back to them, they did absolutely nothing that my wife was told on the phone. My wife is in a great amount of pain and all they do is say we can refer you to someone else when this was the whole reason we went to them. My wife is still in a great amount of pain and we had to find someone else because the so called referral they gave us can't do anything until the end of November. I have been visiting this dentist since middle school, but I've decided to stop as an adult. Dr. Ramai persistently pushed Invisalign on me, despite my repeated refusals and explanation that I was already under the care of a real orthodontist. After I declined, his attitude changed dramatically from friendly to irritated and annoyed. This shift in demeanor was unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. I will never return to this dentist and strongly advise others to avoid this practice. You may be pressured into treatments you don't want. I am very upset. I went to this clinic in December of last year and Dr. Ramai was the one who treated me. He gave me several fillings and two of those fillings were done wrong, one fell out and the other was in a lot of pain. I went for repairs and just so he could tell me. He told me to open my mouth and tell me that I had nothing and I was still telling him the pain I was feeling. He had no ethics. We never had a conversation as a doctor. A patient, whenever he had something to tell me, he only left me with his assistant. I went on two occasions to to put the filling that had fallen out and to fix the tooth that hurt but he did nothing and yet in January of this year they charged me $356 dollars and I don't know why because every time I went I always paid and I had my Insurance and today I see that I receive a new bill from that place for $65, supposedly for the visit I made the last time for the work that he did not do well for me. I went to a new Dentist, they did a root canal on one of the teeth that I The filling that hurt me a lot and the pain it caused was because when he did the filling it was very close to the nerve. Now I am paying a lot more money because the repair is more expensive because the fillings he did were not good and the courage The biggest thing that bothers me is that they have the nerve to send more bills knowing that he didn't do a good job for me. I'm happy with my new dentist because thanks to him I don't feel pain but in this clinic with Dr. Ramai I wouldn't want to know again that he doesn't. Been going here for years but only because it was convenient. Think I'm finally done. Going here has always had the feeling of buying a new car and it's clear the sole interest of this practice is their bottom line. They constantly pressure you to get procedures you don't need, and the false niceness of the people who work there is just comical. Incredibly tacky overall the way they do things. It's obvious they have a problem because of the rapid turnover of staff. So all of that I have put up with, but the last few visits they can't get my insurance right so it's the last straw for me. I would like to acknowledge how appreciative I am for the treatment I received from Dr. Ramai at Neibauer Dental Care in Fredericksburg, VA. I recently moved to the area from another state. Within a few weeks of my relocation, I had four teeth that required expensive dental work. Since this was completely unexpected and I had no dentist, my colleague suggested a dental practice near my office (not Neibauer Dental Care). Although the staff was very nice, the dentist (not Neibauer Dental Care) referred me to an endodontist (on two different occasions) and an oral surgeon before they would continue treatment on any of the teeth. The referral was to an office next door. When I made the appointment, I was informed they would bill my insurance company for a "consultation" which was not a covered service. I called my insurance company to verify and they confirmed only an "evaluation" would be covered under my plan. From my understanding, the only difference between a "consultation" and "evaluation" is the code submitted to the insurance company. I mentioned this to the dental office and they offered no other referrals. So, I found myself searching for an endodontist and an oral surgeon that would bill my insurance for an "evaluation" which I was not convinced was even necessary to complete the dental work. Moreover, I was worried about the cost of all of these "evaluations" since only two per year were covered by my insurance. Additional evaluations would not be covered so the total cost of my dental work was increasing exponentially. In addition to the cost of all these appointments, I just started a new job and had very little accrued leave to cover the time I would be missing from work for all of these appointments. To make a long story short, I was very upset because I had four compromised teeth and I could barely chew anything for over a month as I was trying to work through all these hurdles. Thankfully, I received a mailer from Neibauer Dental Care so I called and explained my story to Brandi. She was so attentive and understanding of my situation. More importantly, she definitely went the extra mile to work with me. She carefully verified my benefits so there would be no surprises. Much to my delight, the office had Saturday hours so I would not have to use the limited leave I had accrued since I just started a new job. Dr. Ramai evaluated me and he completed all my dental work (which turned out to be three crown replacements and one extraction) without referring me out to one specialist! He provided me with realistic options so I could make informed decisions. Additionally, everyone in the office was professional and friendly. I waited to post this review until two weeks after my last appointment to ensure all the dental work was completed without any issues. At this point, I am just waiting for the EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance to verify everything was billed and covered correctly. I am so very grateful for Brandi and Dr. Ramai. I cannot thank them enough for working through a very difficult situation with me. I would highly recommend this office. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Ramai and Neibauer Dental-Plank Road. I had a crown put in by Dr. Ramai in December. Since December the crown has come off 2 times---and been resecured 2 times by Dr. Ramai. Both times I was told there was No Charge....THEN recently I received a Bill for $55.00. Over 10 days. I left 3 VM messages with No Call back. After 4th VM message, I finally got a call back...to say they only cover 1 time recementing a crown, because after 1 time " it is probably your (my) fault!"... The dentist is very arrogant and basically does what he wants. I had a bridge that needed to be replaced due to poor installation. The second bridge was totally a different color and size not matching my teeth. It was installed without me having a chance to look at it first. He ignored my complaints. One of my back lower teeth broke/filling came out, was in a lot of pain. It was both a constant throbbing pain and a very acute pain if I tried to eat or drink. As an existing patient, I called Neibauer at 1 pm Friday 2/18 and explained, asked for emergency treatment that day (as their website states). Told the receptionist I could get there by 3 pm or after. He said we can see you at 2:30. I explained I could not make it by 2:30. He said in a very "couldn't care less" tone, "it's 2:30 or it's Tuesday of next week." I said I will try hard to get there as close to 2:30 as possible. I did that, arrived at 2:48. The dental assistant said "your appointment was at 2:30. We won't be able to see you." I told her that I said from the start I couldn't make it at 2:30 but that I was in great pain (which was obvious) and this was a request for emergency treatment, not a scheduled appointment. "Can you PLEASE work me in?" She said I will ask. You may get an exam but no treatment. When I finally went to the back, she took xrays, looked at my chart and said "we TOLD YOU in 2020 in your treatment plan that this tooth needed a crown." I said "it was Feb of 2020. Covid happened. I didn't go on dental appointments. Are you seriously saying "told you so" when I'm in pain because I didn't come in during Covid?" Later Dr. Sun came in, looks at the x-rays and chart and says "It's right here in your treatment plan from 2 years ago that you needed to get a crown on that tooth." I took a deep breath and repeated the same thing I said to her. To this day, I CANNOT believe they basically said WE TOLD YOU, oh well. He took a quick look at my tooth and said "the nerve is exposed. You'll need a root canal and crown or if you want something quicker, an extraction. I will call in a pain killer and she will schedule an appointment for you. He started walking out and I asked what kind of pain med. He said "an opioid and Tylenol, fun fun". I said "will it" he interrupted and said "will it cause constipation? Absolutely. Will it make you dizzy and drowsy? Absolutely". He walked out with a smirk. I indicated to the dental assistant that I wanted an extraction and would get a bridge later. The following is the exchange that followed. This is word for word, verbatim. Sorry I don't know her name. her (bubbly tone): when would you like to come in? me (still obviously in pain): as soon as possible her: can you give me a day and time? me (incredulous): Monday morning at 8 her: he doesn't work on Mon me: did you hear me say as soon as possible. I don't think that's complicated. her: follow me to the front her (after arriving at the front desk, in a CLEAR "I will show you" tone): We can see you next Thurs and 8 am me: this entire discourse is unacceptable as compared to how your website described your emergency services. It's the opposite in fact. The doctor confirmed I had an exposed nerve. I'm in great pain, and you all have totally failed to provide the care that you promise in writing. her (loudly): You were 20 minutes late. me: I never said I could be here at 2:30. It is an emergency, not a scheduled appointment. I told him I would not make it by 2:30. her: Not to mention, it was in your treatment plan 2 years ago to get that fixed me: it is highly unprofessional for you all to refuse to treat my emergency problem and pain because I didn't make it by your take it or leave it time and I didn't complete the treatment plan because covid happened. But the worst part is YOU DON'T CARE. her: not really, not with the way you are talking to me. her again: I don't think we will be providing your care in the future. me: oh I assure you that you won't be. Make SURE he calls in that prescription. And you'll be the star of the review I am going to post online. I started making some calls and was able to get the tooth extracted somewhere else on Sat morning. I told them what happened the day before. The dentist said that is one of the worst he's heard, but totally on brand for that place. I am filing an official complaint with the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Board of Dentistry. I have it all filled out and ready to send, just have to find out the dental assistant's name so I can add it. if I could give them a negative five stars I would. Our family has been going to the office at Harrison Crossing in Fredericksburg since 2007. They were wonderful In the first years but once the Neibauer family sold the business it has gone steadily down hill every year. When my son had wisdom teeth pulled I checked with my insurance company to see what I needed to pay and was told there was no copay. When he was ready to go home the little twit at the desk lied and told me I had to pay it all upfront and continued to argue with me while he was standing there bleeding in the lobby while other patients watched. I finally told her send me a bill if I end up owing anything and we left. Shortly after that I had an appointment and decided to call and cancel and find a new dentist. I called the office and it turned out a lady from the corporate office was there that day and answered the phone. I explained what happened and the front desk twit was gone when we went back. The lady I spoke to was very apologetic and gave me a discount and her cell number in case we had any problems in the future. So, everything was okay for a couple of years until they talked me into Invisalign. When they put the little things on my teeth to hold the Invisalign In place I felt a shooting pain down the whole side of my body. Low and behold on my next visit they took X-rays and that same tooth was now dead and I had to have it removed and do an implant or a bridge, costing me more money. Of course they denied causing the damage. Then there was the time they kept me waiting over an hour because they had some emergency they worked in. I told them I couldn't wait any more because my autistic son was home taking care of my mother who was dying of cancer so they told me to come back in the morning. Another time I took off work early to get there on time only to find out the dentist was not even there because he hurt his foot or leg and was in the ER since that morning. Do you think they had the consideration to call and let me know? Absolutely not. But the final straw happened today. My husband and I have dental insurance but my kids are not on it because they are 26 and can't be on our policy. Neibauer assumed they were also covered and did some very expensive X-rays totaling about $600. Once they figured out my son was not covered they claim they sent bills to my email which I never received. I think they were sending them to my work email so they went to spam. Then they said they called me in September but I never received a call or a voicemail. I think they were calling my old work number or our old landline which we do not have any longer. All this to say that I never knew about this bill until I received a letter from a collection agency in the mail. I think it's cheap of them not to send a bill. And to treat long time patients this way is repulsive. They know us and they know we always pay. So needless to say we will not be going back to them again. I've been going to this dental office since 2009 and am finally fed up with the crappy level of care, service and continuously rotating staff. I took my 7 year old in for a routine cleaning and asked them to NOT perform anything other than her cleaning so we wouldn't be charged a bill and she proceeded to take multiple x-rays, yelling at my child to sit still for 20 minutes of x-rays and shoving a adult dental bite into her mouth after shes crying that its too big. They continue to shove the mouth piece in and tell her to bite down and her mouth begins to bleed, it takes a second assistant to figure out it was the wrong size and she then attempts to snap the x-rays. After 15 of adjusting, my daughter crying and them saying bite down with her bloody mouth, they finally tell us her mouth is too small for their equipment!! Then during this same appointment on the next room, a hygienist is also cleaning my husbands teeth; she jabs his mouth with the metal pick and he screams as she cracks & chips his crown! The doctor then comes in and gives us an estimate for $8,000 to fix it when THEY broke it! 2 weeks later I get a bill for $115 for x-rays. When I call the office to dispute it she tells me I can take my file elsewhere but don't forget to pay my bill. read more

I went in and was brought to the back relatively quickly. That is the only positive comment that have for Neibauer. Once I was seated, the assistant checked, and cleaned my teeth. Next the dentist numbed my mouth before leaving me in the seat for FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. By the time he returned, any anesthesia that had been given to me was beginning to wear off. So they had to give me a second dose. The icing on the this cake of crap is when my parents began to receive notices in the mail for MY cavities. I have never been under their insurance at this dentist, and have been on a separate plan for many years. I had to go in person to resolve this, but that wasn't enough, I guess. They continued to receive bills, so I called multiple times and was told that this issue was fixed. Fast forward to about 8 months later. What do my parents receive in the mail? A collections notice for $400 for an unpaid cavity procedure. Neibauer never resented the claim to my insurance and thus it went unpaid for over a year. This is the most incompetent dentist and company I have ever dealt with in my life!!! Do NOT use them. Terrible. Awful. Find another dentist. read more

This was the most awful initial appointment I have ever had!! It started with the panoramic x-rays. I am disabled and use a cane and cannot stand for long periods of time. The technician didn't know how to adjust the machine to my height. When she finally figured it out, she got me situated only to leave me hanging there in a very uncomfortable position and went to ask someone else how to start the machine!! She blamed it on the machines being different because she was from another office!! When it came time for the other x-rays where you are seated she was getting frustrated because I could not bite down onto the metal thing so she could go take the pic. I told her several times it was hurting and she would disregard what I was saying and sigh and roll her eyes. The final straw was when I called to see if they could modify the treatment plan I was given and a week later after several calls to their office I still have not heard from them. I had to ask them several times after providing them with the phone number and my ID# to check and see if they honored the discount plan I had. They acted as though they didn't know what I was talking about. It's obviously all about the money for Niebauer and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!! After going thru that ordeal I finally found a dental office that was more concerned about my well-being rather than the type of insurance I had!! read more

Date of incident: 13 Aug 2020. Last week my minor son had dental work done at Neibaurer - during the procedure the back of the instrument the dentist was using burned my sons lip. I could go into a long detail of how they didn't tell me it happened and let my son pull down his mask to show me the burn once he was in the car - I could tell you how the dentist admitted to my son and myself that the instrument she used had been worked on because they knew there was a problem but they DID NOT test it before using it on a patient - I could tell you how they apologized but didn't seem to really care or understand the severity. This happened last week - my son's lip has a HUGE scab and we are considering visiting the doctor, and possibly a plastic surgeon since we are worried about scarring. We paid over a thousand dollars during that visit, just to have my son burned and in severe pain. They will never touch him again. I am requesting full reimbursement for all the work that was done on 13 Aug. I want additional monies to cover the cost for doctor's appointments, possible plastic surgery procedure if there is scarring, and for my son's pain. Extremely disappointed. I am fairly new to the Fredericksburg area and needed a dentist. During my initial exam, they convinced me that I needed Invisalign to correct my teeth grinding. I paid about $4000 in advance and had the initial procedure done. I scheduled my appointment for my follow up Invisalign and received a call less than 24 hours out from my appointment time that they needed to reschedule since my doctor wasn't in the office on Tuesday's. This appointment was set up about a month out. When I asked why the heck they would schedule me for a day that my doctor was not on sight, they blamed the "3rd party company" that assists in their scheduling and refused to take any responsibility for THEIR mistake and I had to reschedule on THEIR terms. So, I took off work, rearranged my schedule, got child care all for them to reschedule my appointment less than 24 hours in advance... HIGHLY unprofessional! I guess my mistake was paying in full in advance for a procedure. It appears that all professionalism and responsibility disappears after you pay them!! When I pressed the receptionist on the issue because I now had to juggle rescheduling child care, work, etc, she again stated that it was the third party company they worked with that screwed up and it wasn't their responsibility. She was then very quick to hang up. Just FYI, it IS your responsibility as this company not only represents your business, but is making scheduling decisions for clients. DO NOT GO HERE. I went for a standard cleaning when I moved to the area because they had a flyer in the mail. From my first appointment they tried to sell me on invisalign. I am 45, I've never had braces in my life, my teeth have always been straight, and I had never had any dental work other than a cavity filling. After a year of them pushing invisalign for my "teeth grinding", I did it. I paid thousands of dollars and wore them for a year. They moved my teeth in ways that caused me to bite my cheeks and that made my back tooth crack. The dentist there told me I then needed a crown for the tooth that cracked. I had never had a crown before. I paid another $1000. They ground down my tooth and ordered the crown. I left with a temporary crown which broke after a week and I had to go back in to get another one. When the permanent crown came in, after dropping it on the floor, they put it in. They said there wasn't enough room between my teeth with it in, so they "shaved" part of another tooth off to make room. It didn't feel right. I told them it didn't feel right. They said try it, see if I get used to it. I said...no...I can't even close my mouth all the way...it doesn't feel right. They had already cemented it in, so the only thing they could do was grind down the top of it until it felt right. I left. After a few days, I noticed that food kept getting stuck under it. There was a gap at the bottom like it hadn't been pushed down all the way. I went back and told them. The first thing the dentist said was that I should just see if I got used to it. I said that food kept getting stuck, and I was worried it world hurt the tooth underneath. She said the only other option was to drill it off and make another one. I didn't feel like a had a choice, so that is what she did. They made a new crown, and I came back a month later to get it put in. The dentist I had been seeing had moved to a different office, so I saw someone new. When they tried to put the crown in, it didn't fit. After trying several times, they decided to grind the crown down on the sides to make it fit. They put it in, but didn't cement it yet (thank God). It didn't feel right. I told them this was the same thing that happened last time...it sat too high and I couldn't close my mouth all the way. They looked at the tooth underneath, did some bite tests and determined that the first dentist hadn't ground the original tooth down far enough. So they ground it down some more. Then they told me they would have to order another crown to make it fit the newly ground tooth. They put a temporary crown on and I left. When the novacaine wore off a couple hours later, I was in a tremendous amount of pain. I had never had pain after a dentist visit before, and this scared me. I thought maybe it would go away, so I waited. After 5 days of intense pain on the right side of my face, I asked for an emergency appointment. They saw me the following day, and the assistant told me that it coitus be because the temporary crown was too high and I was putting too much pressure on it. I told her that this was the 3rd temporary crown they had put on this tooth ( I told her the whole story), and I had never had any pain before. She said I might need a root canal. I started to cry. I said how is that possible...my tooth was fine before I started coming here. The dentist was too busy to see me, so the Assistant said not to worry...she was going to grind the temorary crown down and let's just see what happened. She did. She said that would "take it out of occlusion"... whatever that means. They gave me a prescription for antibiotics and ibuprofen, and I left. She said it it still hurt in a week, come back. It has been 5 days, and I am still in pain every day. I did some research on root canals. Apparently the need for them can be caused by too much dental work on the same tooth. I am terrified that the dentist ground down my original tooth too much, injuring the "pulp" in the middle, and now I am going to need one because of the work they did. My teeth were fine before I went here. So I spent $5000 or $6000 on procedures that have ended up causing me to probably need a root canal... which is going to cost God knows how much more. And the worst part...I am terrified of letting them touch my teeth any more, so I am going to have to find a different dentist to fix all of their mistakes. I am absolutely sick about all of this, and I don't know what to do. read more

I WANT TO GIVE NO STARS BUT IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO. Dr. Navneet Josan, DO NOT GO TO HER!! She is rude and when I stood up for my child during his visit she did not like it. She chose to not look at his chart, say he got something done that he did not and then asked me about. How dont you know, You the Dentist!! This woman threw her hands up like to pause me from talking so she could finally read his chart. Then wanted to throw a paper up to my face and after I stood up and told her she better get that paper out my face she wanna run to the front and talk shit to the receptionists. The manager never not once asked what was wrong she just jumped to me being disrespectful and attacking the doctor and receptionists! And asked me to leave!! I also confirmed with two receptionists that they did not feel attacked or threatened!! They knew they were wrong. Oh but before being asked to leave the Manager allowed me to pay my bill!! YOU MUST NOT FEEL THAT ATTACKED! I been going there for years and never had an issue but in places like that guess reputation means nothing when you not the one bringing in the money for services!! I've been with this dental office for the past 5 years and have finally decided to find another dentist. It's very unfortunate too because they are conveniently located and do have convenient hours, BUT they just can't seem to get my insurance coverage correct, even when I tell them what my insurance covers and the percentage because I look on my provider's website before service. I NEVER had this problem with my previous dentists in Georgia and Tennessee. And I like how they don't provide a link on their website to complain and that they seem to choose all the positive reviews :)...I didn't see a negative one in the bunch, which is really kind of disingenuous of them...should take the bad with the good...oh well, it is what it is...I'm sure I'll find a better fit elsewhere. read more

One of the worst dental offices I have ever encountered. Wanted to charge me for my daughter having two baby cavities ----almost 500.00!! Highway robbery. They had the nerve to call me and set my daughter up for a follow-up appt. months later!! I specified in their office that I would NEVER be returning! They are definitely hard up for business and it's certainly all about the almighty dollar!I got a second opinion and the doc told me not to bother with the tiny cavities! They are still baby teeth!! Incompetent office staff did not understand my insurance benefits and wrote up a treatment plan for me with a $1600 error that was only caught after I called my insurance company and had them review the treatment plan with me. Doctor was in such a hurry to see other patients that he referred me to see an oral surgeon just to perform a simple extraction. Steer clear of this corporate nightmare of a dental office. read more

Went to Neibauer based on their introductory offer of cleaning, exams, x-rays and teeth whitening. I ended up having several fillings done, when I would leave my face would be bruised and swollen, I was left just watching TV with the nitrous on for awhile a few times. The fillings were horrible, they weren't properly finished, so they hurt and my bite was off for nearly six months until they wore down on their own. Within a year the fillings themselves were cracking and falling out. I don't care what promotions they have, I'll never go to any Neibauer location again. read more

Went to the dentist today and was told I didn't have a appt. This is not the first issue I have had with this dentist. I had a appt. for 6 months to get a cleaning they called me 2 days before asking me to change appt because the hygienist was on lunch during my time. REALLY....also I had a credit from my insurance company for quite a while it was $350. Would have never known if I didn't have to have work done. I've been using Neibauer for my basic dental needs for 7 years, and in general I would say they are competent and have good equipment. However, they try very hard to push extra dental work, even if you've told them numerous times you aren't interested. I ended up agreeing to two caps on back teeth I suspected would have issues eventually. The insurance/business person went over the expected charges, claiming my insurance would mostly likely cover a good portion, working up numbers that seemed reasonable as an estimate. When I came to get the work done, they had NOT contacted the insurance to verify. They did not TELL me this, I had to ask, and got a full on B.S. answer about the insurance not usually answering immediately. Long story short there was a great deal of confusion over charges, and things not covered, and NONE of their numbers ever matched the estimates they provided. They muddled up so that nothing made sense. I felt really angry with their methods and it was as if they were cooking the books for fraudulent reasons. I'm planning a move to a different dentist as a result and I'd advice people to beware. I've heard other patients come into the office with similar complaints right at the desk, and sure enough, it happened to me. I don't know what their deal is, but I'm not through with them and plan to discuss it with my insurer. read more

Not sure if this office is corrupt or inept. Decided to try it out since it's close to our new house. Took the whole family for a regular dental cleaning, nothing special. Front staff reviewed our insurance and had us all do a series of x-rays. Months later I received two bills for x-rays not covered by Anthem. Called Neibauer at Harrison and was told that nothing they state is guaranteed to be covered by insurance. Furthermore, was told that every office is different. Their dentists require certain x-rays in order to provide a correct diagnosis and will require all necessary x-rays regardless of whether it is covered or not. Anthem said that there should have been no confusion over what was covered. So basically Neibauer could care less, and I'm stuck with over $400 in x-ray fees. Do not go here. read more

I have had delta dental for over 20 years. They have always been well accepted by every dentist I have ever visited. Since being with Neibauer dental I noticed they are very aggressive in pushing imaging that is not needed. Such as panoramic imaging that I had recently done. But what ended my relationship with them is when they sent be a $180 bill 4 months after a simple cleaning only. They are either over billing or misfiling. When I called asked for an explanation I was told it was between me and my insurance and that I signed a document stating that I would pay for anything not covering. They never offered to look into the details and showed no concern. I believe they are submitting over priced bills to the insurance companies and are unconcerned that this will fall back on to their clients. Go at your own risk of financial hardship and hassle. read more

Hours are very convenient. They mis-quoted my insurance coverage in their quote for a crown with build up, and implied I'd get $612 coverage toward crown when insurance company didn't even cover any amount for a crown. Good thing I double checked with the insurance company! I shopped around the same area and 4-5 dentists quoted prices up to $700 cheaper w/o insurance...TIP: Make sure you get the insurance company negotiated rate! Granted, it'll still cost me $1100 or $1200 up front, if I go somewhere else, but at least I won't get stuck for an additional $612, down the road because the insurance company rejected the bill for the inflated miscalculation of over mi $1800! They tried gluing the gold back in twice. The first time it fell out with in the first hour after eating a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich. When I went back that night, the woman seemed so unhappy to see me, I felt compelled to ask her if she "was disappointed in me?" She glued it back in with a different glue...but that fix fell out within the next 24 hours while eating a doughnut. TIP: DON'T EAT!!! It really wasn't their fault though...it was an old crown and it had a hole in it. They ended up writing off a portion of a the bill the insurance company rejected. I was very happy about that! They did a beautiful job with a filling that you can't even see even if you know where to look. A root canal still hurt 3.5 months later and they referred me to an Endodontist for bits they missed due to lesser equipment than the Endo. read more
