I heard good things about him, but when I went in I was gaslit. AGAIN. I have yet to find a male…read moredoctor who doesn't diminish my pain, or invalidate me. He said the multiple herniations in my neck were "Something everyone over 30 has. It's normal." Really? The doctor who ordered the MRI told me she felt like I needed to see a surgeon at this point because it's been 15 years of pain, and my problems are getting worse every year. I have tried everything. Literally everything to help my pain. I have spent so much money in pain management. All they did for me today was give me pain pills which I didn't want at all bc I can't even take them at work. I want it fixed. Not a bandaid. He said my extreme pain was "Headaches." Really? I know my own body and this isn't a headache or even a migraine. I wasted $100 and time off my job to be pushed off to another doctor. Yet again. I have been doing this dance from spinal to neuro, to spinal to neuro. I felt 0 sympathy or validation, like I was just another $. The only people who were nice to me were his PA, and the assistants. They were kind and actually listened. They validated my concerns. He referred me to neurology. When I asked him what they could do, he shrugged and said "I don't know, I'm not a neurologist." Don't waste your time or money.

I have been to several doctors (three) over the years to have this issue resolved. In general, all of the doctors said that this problem could not be permanently fixed, but they could help me manage my pain. I will never know if I was responsible for not getting the care I needed because I chose doctors with the wrong medical specialties, nevertheless less I decided to take a different approach. I called Dr Mark Prasarn an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. After Speaking with Dr. Prasarn, I left his office feeling inspired. Nothing was fixed yet, but I was filled with hope. Dr. Prasarn said the cause of my back pain was Spondilolithesis. He also said that it wasn't as bad as some others that he has seen in the past and that the surgery could fix my problem. I really appreciate the fact that he spent a considerable amount of time with me that day. Dr. Prasarn has a very methodical approach regarding care. He first recommended that I try physical therapy, if there was little to no change in my pain level we would then move on to pain management. If the pain level persists, we would try surgery. It is good game plan for him to start with the least invasive strategies until he could provide a decision that matched my personal needs. I did eventually have surgery. After just two weeks from the day of my surgery the pain was completely gone. I waited four months to write this review because I wanted to see if there would be any recurring issues concerning my back pain. I am happy to report that I feel great!! I have not experienced any pain (nothing!). For me this surgery has been life changing. I can't tell you all the special accommodations that were made for me just to take a walk. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Prasarn a very good doctor and really a very nice person. He has the credentials and it is very obvious that he has a strong desire for helping people. For me, he was just the right person at the right time. I highly recommend Dr. Prasarn if you are experiencing any back pain that requires professional help

For example if I was in the shower and closed my eyes I would start leaning and unless I opened my eyes and grabbed onto something I would fall down. This got worse and worse. I sought help and was referred to Dr. Meyer. It turned out that I had a severe stenosis in my neck. Dr. Meyer performed an operation in which he came in through my throat and installed two clip-like spacers to separate two of the vertebra. He took some bone from my hip and grafted into the area of repair. He also came in through the back of my neck, from the scar it looks like he did most of the work from there. It's been over a year now and ever since the operation I no longer start leaning and falling. Aside from the normal post-operative recuperation I have had absolutely zero pain and have not taken one pain med. I have full range of motion with my neck. Sometimes when I tuck my chin down I can feel something inside but that's about the only thing I notice from the operation. Dr. Meyer has an excellent bedside manner. You can tell he enjoys his work in making people's lives better. The staff and nurses were great also. I never had any problems making follow-up appointments. Surgeons are like anyone else. There's good ones and then there are really good ones, and Dr. Meyer is really good at wat he does.

I couldn't stand up straight or walk more than 300' without extreme chronic pain. I had a very major surgery that was over two sessions and today I could not be happier with the results. This was my third spine surgery and I hope this will be my last. It's 5 months today since my surgery, it was a very painful experience but well worth it. I have my life back and that is priceless, I can stand up straight and walk normal for the first time in a long time. This guy is a top notch surgeon who is one of the best in his field. You can tell when a doctor cares and I believe that Dr. Meyer and his staff cared about me. I can also say it's all business with this guy and he has very good bedside manners. The hospital they recommend was also top-notch, very clean, very good nursing staff, very low infection rate and the food was really good. I did a lot of research on the the doctor, the procedure and the hospital before I went through with it. Again, I am very pleased with the outcome. So with all that being said, if you are looking for one of the BEST, it's Dr. B. Christoph Meyer and his staff.

I asked him flat out if he was going to have his knee done who would he use and he instantly said, " That's easy. It's Stephan Kreuzer '. I've operated with so many Doctors that you learn who is good, great, and excellent and he is the best". My experience with every touch was unlike other practices. He has built his own ecosystem, and everyone there, from the top down knows why you are there and why they are two. I was an out of town patient and they make it so easy that other people should know about it. After surgery at his own surgical center, you drive 800 yards and stay at a nice Holiday Inn Express and see his PA two days later and head home. He allowed me to use telemedicine appoints on the front and backend which literally saved my 12 hours of driving and a hotel each time. I abandoned my walker as soon as I got home and have been getting better and better ever since. I had absolutely zero pain from the knee although the incision itselt felt very tight and at four weeks is much better. That was the only limiting part of the procedure. Dr. Stephan Kreuzer is top tier and at the top of his game nationwide.

EXCELLENT! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!…read more Dr. AdIckes is a very rare and special doctor. Why? Because he authentically cares, is compassionate, and he is an excellent surgeon. When having an appointment he 100% listens and is focused on helping his patients. I truly felt understood, as well as cared about. This man's integrity is stellar! I am absolutely amazed to have found such an incredible doctor! Dr. Adickes really cares. He has a heart of gold and sees that each patient receives the best care available and possible. He's reasonable and wanted me to tell him what works for me and what I wanted as far as an outcome. I have hEDS, and unfortunately many doctors treat those of us with this genetic disease in ways I can 100% say are absolutely horrific. It's mind boggling. Most doctors have issues with patients with this miserable disease, mostly because there's no cure and treatment of it is basically limited to keeping the patient relatively comfortable and surgery. Lots of surgeries. This genetic disease affects all connective tissue in the body. By my 20's I had arthritis that was bad enough to interfere with my daily function. By 26 I had to move back home due to an injury. With hEDS I get injured frequently because my body doesn't stop or restrict movement to avoid injuries. That's why I have always been outrageously flexible. Unfortunately it's not at all because I have stretched or done anything to be so flexible, it's because my body doesn't stop before injury. Dr. Adickes treated me with care, compassion and respect. He's knowledgeable about hEDS, & has had patients with this rare disease. This doctor is such an awesome person! If you need help with your knees this is the doctor for you! He's brilliant, talented and he is THE BEST!! Heart of gold, incredible education and accolades, highly respected and known as an incredible doctor.... He's THE BEST!! Anyone that sees him is so incredibly blessed, because he is one in a billion!
