Recently I had to replace an old oral appliance and Dr. Demarest made recommendations based on my sleep apnea. I've tried C-Pap machines but with claustrophobia couldn't tolerate that device, so with an upgraded mouth guard designed for sleep apnea I've had great success with the oral appliance as treatment. I'm one of those "chickens" when it comes to any kind of dental work and they've always been compassionate and patient with my phobias. A special thank you to the Practice Manager Beauna who helped me to navigate my medical insurance coverage for my oral appliance. He was easy to talk to and so helpful. He explained everything during my cleaning and shared what he was was seeing. Dr. Rodríguez was also very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I fought with insurance, they declined to pay due to nature of this weird unneccesary visit. Second visit was a cleaning, as I arrive... I am told there is no dentist in the building, di I want to proceed? I work and had driven a half hour, I did the cleaning and they filed insurance. Third time I go- a normal cleaning and xrays. They want payment in full. I call my insurance company after the visit to try to be reimbursed and the insurance compny says no claim is filed. The front office also calls yo multiple times a week trying to fill cancellations, even if you ask them not to.
