Fabulous! He has treated both my husband and myself with fabulous results. He ranks at the top of our list.

I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Baek at a time that met with my schedule. I was called to the exam room a few minutes before my appointment time and waited just a few minutes. Dr. Baek was very nice and knowledgeable and took time to explain his decisions and answer my questions and concerns. The office is located next to the Comfort Inn near Frederick Ave and Shady Grove Rd. When exiting Rte 370 to 355 South, stay in the middle lane to cross Shady Grove Rd. A few streets later, you will turn left and come to the free parking lot for the office building.

Dr. Asilli is a compassionate and outstanding podiatrist but the doctors/administrators who seem to run his office now are not. I saw wonderful Dr. Asilli for decades and most recently he refurbished my orthotics -- for which I was required to pay up front. Two and a half years later I still receive a bill for the full amount I paid from another doctor in his practice. Whenever I call, the receptionist acknowledges the mixup, politely promises to straighten it out with the billing office and call me back but I never hear from her. The billing office never answers when I try to follow up. My husband, also treated about two years ago by a different doctor, is in a similar endless loop. He had what turned out to be athlete's foot. Regretably, I talked him into seeing Dr. Mizuo, assuring him if he worked with Dr. Asilli he must be good. Dr. Mizuo put him on heavy antibiotics with uncomfortable side effects. They didn't work and he gave him another prescription that turned out to be over-the-counter cream.

She was a second opinion after a surgery that my first Podiatrist kind of took the lazy approach. Her consult was concise and she went into detail about risk and rewards of the future treatment of my issues. Simply the greatest podiatrist in MD. Bed side manner is awesome! Thanks Dr. Donna!

I'm giving this office two stars, and I want to explain exactly why, because my experience was a…read moremix of genuine effort from the support staff and real disappointment with both the clinical evaluation and the way billing responsibilities are handled. Dr. Gievers was courteous and professional in demeanor, and I have no complaints about basic bedside manner. That said, the assessment of the concern I brought in felt superficial to me. The diagnostic workup was minimal, and I did not see a willingness to look much deeper into the issue than a surface-level evaluation. I left with a diagnosis and treatment plan that, in my opinion, was generic enough that I could have pieced it together through basic independent research. What stood out most was how quickly the visit moved toward a recommendation for custom orthotics, before I felt the underlying problem had been thoroughly explored. I walked out feeling brushed off rather than evaluated. The billing experience is what truly drives my rating. Patients at this office are required to sign a form accepting full responsibility for verifying their own insurance coverage. When a claim from my care was later denied, I received no assistance from the practice in navigating the appeal. I researched the appeals process, gathered the documentation, and fought the denial entirely on my own. It was time-consuming and frustrating, and for a patient with little or no insurance experience, I believe it would be nearly impossible to manage. In my opinion, shifting the entire insurance burden onto patients is an unprofessional and increasingly common practice, and this office has fully embraced it. Many comparable practices employ a billing specialist or insurance coordinator who helps with verification, prior authorizations, and appeals, and I would strongly encourage this office to invest in that role. Until then, prospective patients should understand they will be entirely on their own with insurance matters. The two stars are earned by the support staff. They were reserved and not especially talkative, but they consistently tried their best to assist and were genuinely helpful within the limits of what they could do, and that effort deserves recognition. If your needs are routine, your insurance knowledge is strong, and you have the time to handle verification and potential appeals yourself, this office may be workable. If you expect a thorough diagnostic evaluation or any support navigating insurance, as most patients reasonably do, I would look elsewhere. My experience amounted to an adequate but superficial clinical encounter, an early pivot to orthotics, and a complete absence of billing support when it mattered most.
