I've devised a standardized system to evaluate bubble tea that has 3 distinct categories: taste of the milk tea, quality of the boba, and level of Instagrammability. Milk tea: I've had worse, I ordered the taro coconut flavor, and it tasted vaguely of taro and vaguely of coconut. I didn't see them make it but I assume it was with powder. It was sweet and didn't taste too watery. 2/5 Boba quality: they were of good size and chewiness, no qualms here 4/5 Instagrammability: This is where Yogo Berry Bubble Tea takes a hit. Inherently, instagramming a chain boba place that doesn't necessarily specialize in boba brings the post down a notch. Also, the decor inside does not particularly promote a good picture. Kudos to the staff for keeping things moving along. Very friendly and efficient. The smoothies were a great start to the morning. The store is fairly placed and easily accessed if you are headed north on Paseo del Norte. It has its own small parking lot, for now. As soon as it's neighbor shops open it will have less. It's nice to have access to this store close by.
