Plants are very healthy, lush, the grounds and surrounding area are inviting and attractive. We were offered a glass of wine and they even had ice pops for children. There's a gift shop, area for sitting and just enjoying being there. Very pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful. We weren't planning on buying a tree so we didn't have a truck, but they wrapped it in plastic wrap and were able to put it in our car and we had no trouble transporting it. Very happy with our visit.

By the way they will ship to you, and in fact do most of their business via online and mail. I discovered the Ion Exchange in college (I majored in natural resource management at Iowa State University), through professors that have used them to get plants and seeds for their restoration and research projects. They can get large amounts of seeds for large project, like a CRP planting, or enough for the small garden in your yard. They even ship live plants. They employees are beyond nice, and very knowledgable.
