The potatoes had the same flavor, the sausage was a smoked sausage with an oily film of cold smoke soot. It was clearly obvious to anyone who has ever smoked meat that they were in the weeds. Maybe they just had a bad day, but they still served it. Hopefully they practice more and can identify when the smoker is smoking and not just choking the life out of a meal with soot.

It was Garage Day in Wakarusa so Nelson's was cooking in their home town. We picked up two 1/2 chickens and potatoes and headed home. The potatoes and chicken both had a bit of a vinegar tang to them, The chicken was super juicy and delicious. The food needed a bit of beer to cut through the vinegar so we obliged. $8 for a half chicken that was really good. I'll eat it again when I'm in town. Yum....

Well.... After trying first dish I had the skillet and wife had the pork chop and egg. It was tasty. The skillet was good. The pork chop was dry and a little overcooked. But still okay. Big breakfast. Definitely get your moneys worth.
