There are several brands of UV lamps out there, these folks have the Zoo Med Reptisun which has been consistently the best in my experience. I didn't have much time to look around, but I have the impression of it being clean, well laid out, and very calm and relaxing. I'm very pleased that we have a reptile store in Bellingham, and that we have one that is of such high quality. It's difficult to be at the mercy of PetSmart or Amazon.

As I entered the store, I was met by a cheerful, smiling woman. Julie was her name, "owner" was her game. She showed me a nice array of options that I felt were very reasonably priced. I chose one and asked about maintenance. She patiently explained how to clean and care for my new soon-to-be-purchase. Great shop, great experience. Most of the times we have visited have been we were looking for something in particular.. last night we had some big storms /high winds and one of our dogs kept us up all night. We wanted to purchase something to have in the house for the next time something like this happens. She actually recommended something that was out of stock. She explained why she preferred that product and then showed us another one which we purchased. It would be very easy to spend a lot of money in this little store! There have all the best toys, accessories, food and treats.. you name it for dogs (cats too) and they have it. Think quality products and it's here.. well behaved dogs welcome!

My wife and I decided that we just weren't ready to buy. 3 months later my wife and I decided that we were ready to buy so I emailed Dee once again. Once again she replied quickly and sent over pictures of the available litter. This was a litter of Shihpoo's which we just fell in love with. I set up a time to look at the litter and drove 3 hours to meet. Dee was very friendly and informative. We picked out a puppy and put down a deposit. 4 weeks later the puppy was ready to come home. We made another appt. to pick up the puppy. Dee had everything ready and the puppy was looking awesome! She included all the paperwork, gift bag, toy, food, blanket from the litter, ect. Scooby is now part of our family and we couldn't be happier! The entire process was easy. We will definitely be recommending Howdee Kennels to all of our friends and family. Thanks Dee!

Workers are always friendly and happy to talk about cats and are always cleaning and helping facilitate adoptions. Between each 45 minute session, they clean everything-- I've had a friend with mild cat allergy go and not be too affected. I've gone a few times for the long 3 hour sessions and had an absolute blast getting things done (if you sit still, the curious cats will approach you and sit in your lap while you work!) Food is all prepackaged and ordered in bottles in addition to the entry for a 45 minute stay. Place is lovely and well-lit and a great way to get some time with some adorable kitties!

I saw a couple walk ins while I was waiting, but there wasn't any slots left at our time, but they were offered an hour later. For around $15 you get 45 mins with the cats. The cats, there were so sweet and peaceful. Seems like they were very accustomed to people petting them. There were a few playful ones. The place is so relaxed and big enough where you can roam and pet different cats and have a space of your own. The Seattle location is tiny compared to this one.
