The last time I went to this store was to do their donation Thursdays where you could drop off any aquatics that your have been overrun with. I had a clutch of accidental mystery snails hatch. There was about 30 snails. The owner said oh we don't take mystery snails. The conversation could have ended there but she felt the need to belittle me and then told me just toss the clutch in the trash! This is completely incorrect information. You have to freeze the clutch completely before tossing. Otherwise you could have snails hatching in the wild over taking ponds and other waterways. But don't worry she told me I could pay her $3 a snail for her to take in free inventory. read more

not sure what this lady's name is, but the old lady that seems to own the store has possibly the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. The first time I ever met her. I leaned on a 450 gallon tank while talking to a buddy and she yelled at me and told me to get off the tank as if I were a child today. I was inside the store and decided that my needed to be adjusted so I did so she then came up to me and asked if I was OK I said what do you mean? She then said she saw me reaching in my pants as if I was a something I told her I was adjusting my pants then she said that there was cameras everywhere and if I did that again that I would be taken out of the store I said OK that's weird. When I came to the counter I asked what she thought I was doing. She said she didn't know and I told her I was adjusting my pants and weird and then I she needed help and left every single person that works there other than her has always been very nice and welcoming, and I'm sorry if this one reflects on them poorly. read more

I love going to this place! I started going here because they carry the dog food I buy and I wanted to support a local business. Whenever I go in they recognize me and my dog. Actually, I think they recognize my dog and I'm that human that hangs out with him! lol If you have pets you should go here! This place is so nice! I wanted a small 15 gallon freshwater tank and I was going into it with limited knowledge as it is the first tank I've taken care of by myself, but the employees were so helpful!! They got everything I needed and at a much more reasonable price than petsmart. They made sure to give me fish that are good for the cycling period of my tank, beautiful inexpensive plants, and just a very nice and helpful experience in all. The store layout is very modern and open and all the fish and other marine critters seem to be very well cared for and happy. Will def be stopping by often :) read more

I was looking for someone to help me move two fish tanks. I went to a competitor store first but they seemed uninterested to provide any names of anyone who might help. on my way home I drove by Bellingham Pet supply and decided to stop and ask. They were eager to help. The owner showed up when she said she would and was very knowledgeable quick and made it very easy to move the tanks. Had it all done in 4 hours (one hour travel time). I love this store, I come in all the time for freshwater aquarium supplies. They have great prices and I love all of their aquatic plants. They have way better quality products than the big box stores in town. Although their selection is smaller, and sometimes you might have to wait because there's only one person working, but they make up for it with their experience/knowledge. read more

Went to their store for the first time since seeing their booth at Dog Days of Summer. The owner was currently working and was gracious and knowledgeable. He took time to help me pick the right amount of cannabis treat for my arthritic German Shepherd who also has eye trouble. Then he talked me through the types of dog food they carry that can help with dogs who have allergies and even gave me some samples and a pamphlet with more info!
