I picked up some jewelry and some grateful dead items each visit. There is always so much to look at and it's all unique to their shop. Nobody else on the oceanfront has such awesome hippie merch. The people hanging there are always friendly which is such a plus when you're on vacation. They have it all. Clothes, accessories, mugs, home fragrance, hippie decor....anything you can imagine. And good prices too! I heard they burned out in a fire a few years ago and i am sure glad they came back and rebuilt. I can't imagine the each without a visit to this shop. Walk in happy. The necklaces were $18.99 but $45 if you got 3. Some rings were $9.99 but $25 for 3. My favorite items were the wonderful singing bowls. There were several options, and the wands were out so you could actually try them. Which I thought was great! The sound of them grounded me and took my stress away. Very nice!! We looked at their books, crystals, and spiritual items while waiting for our food. We got our food from Jikoni Cafe which is located inside The House of Consciousness. They sell vegan food, smoothies, and desserts. There were DVD's and CDs on clearance for $1. Which was a good deal. The cashier and the cook were both very friendly and patient with all the questions we had about the different dishes. The have some unique jewelry pieces for sale, which I like. The store is clean inside, the bathroom is also clean, and there's a few couches and tables you can lounge at, or you can dine in. I think it's over 45 or 25 if your purchase you get a free dessert, but due to the fact that it is a vegan store and most vegan items are plant nut based and I am highly allergic to nuts. I got a really cool coaster thing that had a lighthouse on it. I also got a metal ring with red gemstones and some neat carvings in it. Pretty good quality materials. The place smelled like weed due to the public that were in there. Most places (and people) are like that and I can't stand it! So that negatively affected the experience for a bit. However, it was still a place that's nice to still see in this day and age, but I don't see it lasting for much longer.

Great selection of all kinds of toys, old and new and many different brands as well. I've managed to get some interesting deals on some must-have items. I even found an entire toy set I had when I was a kid, which are some of my favorite types of finds as they take me back to my childhood. The prices can sometimes be a bit steep, but if you're a serious collector or you're just a big kid at heart, then it's totally worth it! My favorites are the wrestling figures, there are so many to choose from and some you can't find anywhere else. Some awesome additions to the collection have been found here. However, some toys in the store are hanging on the shelf in a plastic bag, which makes it difficult to see what they are and to browse through as I have to take all of them off the rack one-by-one to get to the one I want to see. If there was an easier way to do that, it'd be great. I'm sure the other patrons don't appreciate me holding up traffic while I rifle through several dozen little baggies that are above my head, trying not to tear the plastic or knock everything off the wall while I am squeezed in the six-inch amount of floor space between the displays. I also like the Hot Wheels cars, the blind boxes, and they usually have some really cute stuff by the front door like scented candles with cool themes, plushies, and bright, colorful goodies that could lift anyone's spirit with their innocent and happy stylings. Overall, I think it's a great spot to get some really cool pieces of one's playful past or a new addition to the lifelong obsession!
