In words of Terminator, "I'll be back" Update: This time bought Tiramisu cake for team. I'm their new favorite person. That basically means they loved it. I swear this shop have put some kind of a spell on me…read more Whenever I'm in the city, I make my way through blocks to buy some of those delicious, fluffy, fruity mini cakes that are so carefully wrapped to keep them fresh and nice for when you get the chance to open them. Every time I have been to the store they have brought me samples of the cakes of the day that have won me over each time. The cakes are not that expensive either. So the next time you happen to pass by, make sure to check them out and experience the spell of magic.

So that day I spent $51 and when I was leaving, I asked if there was a bag to put the cake in. The only bags were the cloth ones, and they were going to charge me .50c for one when I just spent $51. I had to do a whole separate transaction on EFT-POS just to pay for this .50c bag. I feel that not only are they a bit overpriced, but they need to use common sense when charging for a bag after someone has spent a certain amount. It's a bit off putting, however I'm sure the lure of their bubka (the best I've ever eaten anywhere) will get me back there eventually down the road ...

There are also skulls everywhere, including the ashtray and there are skulls sprayed on the curb (cool touch). The coffee is from Industry beans and the cookie in the cabinets looks amazing but I had to pulled myself away from them. Even in Melbourne, I have many experiences with bad coffee (too hot, not hot enough, too strong, not strong enough, too bitter, too milky) thank god, these guys knows how to make coffee. There are a few tables outside where you can sit, enjoy the sun away from the hustle bustle of the CDB. Great for a business meeting or a quiet catch up. The jaffle was hardly toasted with meager pieces of salami and dots of fetta. It was just a plain, dry toastie. I ended up going over to road and ordering a coffee, namely because tram after tram was packed, and I have to admit that the coffee was nothing short of horrible. In the end, maybe it was just me, but this isn't a place I'd be heading back to in a hurry.
