I get that people/churches have off days, make mistakes...And, reviewers are certainly entitled to their opinions about their experiences; However, please consider the caliber of some comments when reading. Certain people like to complain for the sake of complaining. For example: One commented about the amount of traffic outside the church but apparently doesn't attend. Really? Bad mouth a church online you don't attend because there were too many cars? Call the church. I am sure they will consider your complaint and explain their efforts. The last time I was there, they had officers and volunteers on the scene directing the masses. I cannot imagine they have abandoned their responsibilities since I left. Another was scriptural issues. If you have biblical questions about sermons, classes or philosophy, email the pastor himself. Don't take someone's word salad opinion from the reviews, especially when the person acknowledges one verse, but leaves out ten that also apply to their argument. Complaint about the pastor's take on BREAST FEEDING, lol!! As a strong supporter of breastfeeding, I would love to know what he said about breastfeeding being "awkward". Did he speak against breastfeeding being "awkward" because so many use it today as a green light today to be indecent behind the martyr excuse of "feeding my baby". If he did, someone high five that man. I kid but come on. Lastly, no one made me feel welcome. Are you sure they were having church that day? GREETERS ARE SO WELCOMING THEY CAN BE OBNOXIOUS AT TIMES IN A GOOD WAY. Lol, greeters are like roaches...everywhere spreading kindness at ELEVEN22. Many are volunteers who sacrifice their time with family so others can worship. If one failed to greet a person, maybe they arrived at 6:00 AM to set up and are exhausted by the time church has started...Or, maybe they were making coffee for those coming. I am sure there were many who did speak to others. That said, again, people are entitled to their opinions, but please use discernment when reading. No individual is perfect and every one of us needs Jesus. Speaking NECESSARY truth about a church/ministers definitely has its place, but recklessly bad mouthing God's house that may influence others not to attend based on a critical spirit, is dangerous IMO. Go to the source if you have questions. I know that I may sound a bit salty, but I am at my limit with people carelessly tearing ministers/volunteers down that try to serve Christ while they do absolutely nothing but throw tomatoes and criticize online. That said, if you are reading, give this church a try. If it's not for you, thankfully there are more. If you don't like church, then you can still give Jesus a try. Call the church. Someone will pray with you.

The 1122 church has a lead motivational speaker like Joel Osteen named Jobe Martin, I have been to this church and they are all about money, This church takes in donations of goods from people for poor people and homeless people, then they sell these articles for a big profit, Jobe Martin is worth millions yet there are hundreds of homeless people living on the streets of Jacksonville, my wife and I have a homeless ministry and if anyone ever donated anything to us it would go straight to the homeless, no one has ever donated to our ministry, we fund this ministry out of our own pockets, I am disabled with a broken back and she works at night from home, we also provide completely free pre-marriage counseling online so couples can save $25 on marriage license, we are the only provider in Duval county that offers this for free, we also provide free marriage officiating and free funeral officiating, and ask nothing of anyone except prayers

The messages are on point and we always leave checking ourselves against the Word. Great for all ages, young to the "not-as-young as they use to be" crowd. (I fit in the latter.) OCC is also great about being a part of the local and international community, so they're not hiding behind the walls of the church. And on top of that, it's not all about OCC...they tag up with other churches in the community, big and smaller ones to be THE CHURCH. They offer opportunities to meet others in the church, to dig deeper into study and worship, and help you feel like you're doing life the way Christians are supposed to...aligned with Christ, walking out the Word, a part of the body, real, authentic, and meaningful.

I said "no thanks I don't listen to christian music" then of the ladies told me to come to church that I'd love the music . I said no thanks again . They kept asking me and I kept saying no thanks . I felt like I was being judged. Just because I don't listen to the music doesn't make me a bad person . I then reached out to the leader of the women's group. See attached text messages . I felt like the leader was very rude to me . I told her I was willing to give the group another chance and she dismissed me. The group meets on Wed at 630pm .

It is on par with the caliber of preaching I have heard at California mega-churches whose congregations number in the tens of thousands.
