The Burger Man here out scoring burgers for restaurants in search of the best burgers out there. I was invited to score a burger for Nesmith's Hamburger, which has been in business for 60 years. They have a Unique burger, as some may call it, a "Bread" Burger. It was good, and everything blended well. If you have never had a "Bread" Burger, you have to go try one. You haven't lived until you have what we locals call a "Greasy Neasy"!!!! That's a compliment by the way!!! if you like a little spice in your life, go in, have a seat on a stool, order a cheeseburger all the way with red pepper, a bag of chips of your choice and a glass of milk. "All the way" means mustard, ketchup, and diced onions by the way. So if you don't want any of that stuff on there, just tell them how you want it. You can also order a double cheeseburger, you can get them plain meaning just the meat and cheese or you can get just a hamburger however you want it, but I guarantee you'll never have another burger that taste like it and they are great! If you consider yourself a burger connoisseur and you want something a little different, a little taste of the south, I encourage you to come on over to the country. Take a little day trip if you're not from around here, just make sure they're gonna be open because I'm pretty sure they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. Not to mention we roll up the sidewalks around 5:00 PM in Moulton Alabama. So they probably close about 4! These are the BEST burgers anywhere. They fry them up old school fresh and hot all day. They have been there at the same location on the square in Moulton all my life. It's quaint and all the home folk go there. Love our Nesmith's! read more

Nesmith's is like the Stagg's of Moulton. Though this be a bold claim, Nesmith's can back it up. "Home of the Jumbo Burgers". Hardly. Their burgers are quite small, but huge in flavor. They add white bread into their patties; this is something I've never seen before. WOW. They also have a very unique cooking method. They fry them in a large, flat vat of grease over a burner. This boiling lake allows the small, breaded burgers to bob up and down like a fishing buoy as they are flipped over and over until cooked to perfection. They're crispy on the outside, but soft and a bit mushy on the inside. Sounds bizarre/gross, I know. But it is one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It's a simple town with simple people that like simple burgers. I told them to make it "all the way". That consisted of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and onion. That's it... I wouldn't have had it any other way. Anymore, and it would have stolen the pedestal away from the bread-y burger. You need to check out Neshmith's real quick. It's in downtown Moulton, so off the main drag, that everyone drives heading to Bham, but it's worth the extra 2 minutes spent trying to find it. Was excited to try based on reviews. It was cheap, but extremely disappointing. Burgers are literally cooked in several inches of what I assume to be lard. Table was filthy. I guess locals have tummies that are used to this amount of fat, but not for those that are just passing through. read more

This is a great hole in the wall place. I have to admit when I walked in I had serious doubt it would even edible. Boy was I was wrong! Burgers are small and served with ketchup mustard and onions " all the way" when they gave me our burgers I asked how much do I owe you, the kind lady said go ahead and eat first you may want another. She was so right I did want another. Totally shocked by how good it was. If you're near Moulton make it a point to stop by and give it a shot. read more

I recently moved into the area and also prefer local establishments to chains so when I stumbled across this hamburger hole in the wall I thought I had found where I would be getting my hamburgers and cheeseburgers from. NEVER have I been more wrong! This by far is one of my top five yo NEVER go to again places! Food worse than horrible and service is below rude! To finish off this less than worst meal I was charged an extra $2.00 for requesting no ice in my drink and no refills with your meal. Needless to say I wil NEVER DARKEN THE DOORS OF THIS PLACE AGAIN. My only regret is you can't give the a below zero rating. read more
