HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Beware, I have been a customer here for years. It used to be good at one point but now they just care about money. Situation: They did a deep cleaning procedure and told me it was needed, when my dental insurance company denied it, they said it was my responsibility. I went to a hygienist friend after to have my teeth looked and she confirmed it wasn't really necessary. Save your time and money they are not worth it. The right approach would have been to cover the cost of keeping the business of a long-term customer. Go to them at your own risk. One more thing to add would be that they are also prone to canceling your appointments last minute so there's a bit of a reliability issue. read more

RUN AWAY! My husband and I were both told we needed the exact same treatments: deep cleaning, whitening, fillings, and other things I can't even remember. Why would two different people need the exact same procedures? We decided to get a second opinion -- turns out, we didn't need deep cleaning, and there were no cavities that needed filling. So I canceled my appointment. Guess what? They charged us extra for the previous visit -- even though both my husband and I had verified at the time that our balance was zero. This is the first time we've ever had to pay extra just for a routine cleaning. We didn't switch insurance, and nothing else changed. The billing staff was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to explain the charges. If you're not already a patient, avoid this place. And if you're planning to switch dentists, don't let them know -- they might tack on extra charges for your last visit. read more

She is kind and makes you feel relaxed (not always easy at the dentist!). Explains procedures and recommendations clearly. I had my first visit with Nest Dental today and they did not disappoint. We recently switched insurances and so calling around to find a dentist is the most annoying part. But this team was so helpful and patient with my needs before even stepping into the office. Very thorough with explaining what to expect with my insurance. I have to admit it was a little bit longer than it should have been since my last visit, and I was nervous making the appointment. I got there and was quickly checked in and headed back before I could know it. The front desk was clean, and the process was efficient. Once we got back I got a checkup and cleaning and I have to say it was great. Adrianne was friendly and also very thorough. She explained what she was doing and offered insight to how to floss and areas to monitor. The dentist came in and I did an exam. He also was very helpful and understanding. They scheduled me an appointment for regular check ups in the future and also explained the process for a night guard with my insurance. Extremely helpful. I've been coming to this office for about 3 years and really wanted to like this office because it is located near home, nice and clean, modern equipment, and friendly staff (RDH). However, I do not find the dentist here trustworthy although they appear to be very professional and caring. Upon a few visits early on, they suggested that i should fix one of my front teeth that was slightly uneven on the bottom. It never bothered me as it was hardly noticeable. Sure, why not. After getting that procedure done, I felt it was slightly longer than the other tooth. Fast forward 1-2 weeks later, it ended up cracking when I bit down (I am guessing it was because it was uneven with my other front tooth), so I ended up getting it redone. Instead of doing the procedure as a courtesy considering that it was just done weeks prior, they charged me again. Sure, fine. What set me off was my last routine visit. A different dentist that I have not worked with came to see me. She informed me that I had 2 cavities (bottom molars on each side) and that I needed to come back to get treated. I don't think she did a thorough cleaning as fluoride was not given nor flossed my teeth at the end. I was very skeptical of the "cavities" because I am 40+ y.o. and never had a cavity prior and all of sudden this new lady sees me, and I have cavities now?! So, I ended up getting a second opinion and it was determined that I do not have cavities. Do not try to be friendly and chat with me throughout the exam when you are going to deceive me, very insulting and shady. Also, that front tooth that I got fixed, isn't even straight now. I guess whatever they used came off again. EDIT: Yes, this review is for this office. I may not be in your patient database because I am not using my legal (document) name here. When the date arrived and made my appointment, I learned that the appointment was never moved, and I traveled unnecessarily. There is no consequence, just a basic "I'm sorry". Nest Dental (Cov-id update): Came in for an overdue cleaning this week and wanted to provide some general updates for covid precautions. Overall: Super clean, cautious, and efficient! - Patients required to wear masks while waiting - Each pen for paperwork is new - Patients get temp taken immediately upon entering - Every tool is sterilized - Hydrogen peroxide rinse offered after dental xrays - Dentists and all staff wear masks The experience made me feel safe and I'm extremely grateful to the staff at Nest for being so responsible to prevent spread while serving patients. However, for some reason, when I came here for a visit, I got switched to another dentist, who was pretty cold and I didn't get much check. I am not sure what happened. So I stopped visiting after. I got a text message on Thursday the week before my appointment asking me to reschedule to their convenience; then I got a voicemail while at work at 11 am the day of my appointment to reschedule again to their convenience; then when I called them to say my kids are sick and I need to reschedule because I don't have childcare, the secretary says she needs to collect $ 100 on the spot and offers to send me a link to charge me. They never told me about such a charge every-time they needed to reschedule me for their benefit. I Never want to deal with this staff ever again. The experience was awesome. Check in was easy, they knew who I was based on my appointment time. I didn't even have to tell them anything. When I walked in, first thing I thought was wow this feels so safe and clean. They have a poster visible when you walk in that showed what steps they took to keep the patients safe. It made me feel even more comfortable being able to see what they have done. The hygienist was very friendly and informative. Gentle during the cleaning. The dentist was the same, friendly and informative. I've been a client at Nest for over 5 years and up until now have had a good experience. I had a new night guard made in December, which did not fit. Went to the dentist 2 separate times while it was under warranty telling them about a fit issue, only to later have them tell me it's out of warranty and will have to pay $350 for a new one. Not sure why I'd have to pay for the new one since they ordered the guard and failed to disclose the warranty information, but here we are. When I asked them to take in all of the information into consideration they told me they would not waive the fee for the replacement (despite paying the copay for that night guard), and as a courtesy they would not charge me the appointment cancellation fee! Well I wouldn't have had to cancel the same day if the receptionist had disclosed the warranty issue when booking the appointment. This place's customer service needs quite a bit of improvement and if you're looking for a night guard, same yourself some $$ and order an impression kit online for a fraction of the price, better customer service & correct fit. If you plan to get anything else done here make sure it's done right the first time as their appreciation for long terms clients is non-existent. Horrible service. read more

However recently I was incredibly grateful because they confirmed insurance prior to a couple of kids' appointments and alerted me that my dental insurance was inactive! It had mistakenly been canceled and we were able to reactivate. If we had had our appointments we would have been billed the full rate! That is how all patients want to feel, secure in whom is going into their mouth. Secondly, I was lead to believe that my insurance was in network but it actually was not, so the dentist honored my "free" cleaning and x rays despite not actually being in network. Went in for a regular checkup this morning. Dr. Chew and her team were once again extremely hospitable and friendly. She identified some problems with my teeth and recommended for me to get my sealants fixed soon, which makes perfect sense. I don't feel at all that they're trying to scrape every penny from their patients. The rest of the office staff are very organized. They have me scheduled to come back two more times next year, with nice email and text message reminders. I was able to get two Saturday appointments for those, which is awesome for someone working full time! read more

While on a trip to SF, I visited Nest Dental on the recommendation of some friends who have been here. I was really interested in the state of the art panoramic xray system they had in the office which I'd never experienced before. I especially wanted my son to get this done because he's had previous experiences of baby tooth decay which his dentist in Hawaii never picked up on resulting in him getting two baby root canals when he was 6 (in Orange County). I had heard that this system picks up things regular xrays don't so I was highly interested in especially having my son checked out. We saw Dr Chew who was really friendly and makes you feel really comfortable. I have a phobia going to dentists and I made it known to her beforehand that I have anxiety problems whenever I have a dental appointment. She was very patient and worked with me throughout the examination and the clean. I get panic attacks whenever I get my teeth cleaned (don't ask!) so I was relieved that Dr Chew was very patient and took her time, allowing me to pause whenever I need to -- which was quite often. My son's examination, xrays and clean went very smoothly as well. From the state of the art system I was told my son has a possible condensing ostiitis in his jaw which I should keep an eye on. This system takes the whole set of xrays without the bite wings in your mouth. It is over in a few minutes and is really thorough. It was great! I had it done too. We also met the other doctor in the office Dr Finones. She was really sweet and friendly as well. I wish my regular dentist and my son's pediatric dentist has these modern systems to get the most precise readings. I'm glad we got this done and next time we are up here, I will bring my son again to make sure his growth is going in a positive direction -- unless I find some place in OC offering this. read more

The entire staff is so friendly from the moment you walk in. They have a bunch of natural light in the front room and modern decor and furniture. Definitely the nicest Dentist I've ever been to. Their facility is very clean which is important. The receptionist is talkative and friendly. The hygienist (Sasha) was awesome and very helpful answering my questions. Terrible service! Should be negative stars. If you are expecting professional and kind service go somewhere else. They charged me $100 when I had to move my Thurs appt with 45 hours notice, even though they only booked it that Monday prior. I rescheduled for the following Monday. Then, when I showed up for my appt, because I hadn't responded to their Friday email to confirm the appt, they canceled on me without even a phone call! Honestly, nail salons have better service. At least they call and don't cancel on you. I have literally never heard of any doctor or service that canceled on you if you don't confirm. I had completely rearranged my work schedule for nothing. It exists! The perfect dental office exists! The staff are super friendly from reception to hygienist to dentist! I loved how they explained everything that was happening when working on your teeth and made sure that you understood everything. Now I know what they were doing when they poked at my gums and stated numbers from 1-5 (it's called a gum measurement). Dr. Finnones gave me a full plan on what they were gonna do to fix my teeth and touched on all my concerns and their concerns for my teeth. But what I loved MOST about them is they didn't judge me when they saw all the issues with my teeth, which is what every other dentist seems to do. They stated the issues and how to fix them and why my brushing and flossing may not have been effective. It seems like other dentists just always go straight to blaming patients like "If you brushed or flossed more, your teeth would be more straight and clean and white." Please, you think I like sitting in a chair every 6 months for you to judge me on my teeth??? And so I truly appreciate Dr. Finnones and her team. read more

It had been awhile since I saw the dentist, so I went to see Dr. Chew after receiving one of those postcard specials in the mail. She is the best. She is an excellent clinician, who is easy to talk to and explained what she was going to do and why. She has great hands and is a perfectionist and the experience was essentially painless. I had my exam and she found a cavity (bummer). Having had a bad experience in the past w/ getting injections, I haven't had injections when having my cavities filled since I was a kid. However, after talking it over w/ Dr. Chew, she convinced me that it would be alright, so I trusted her. Her injection was painless and I had my cavity filled w/o a problem. Now I wouldn't do it any other way. The office itself is unlike any other dental office I've been to before. It is very modern w/ lots of windows and light so you never feel claustrophobic. Equipment was state of the art and chairs were very comfortable (could've taken a nap). They have this new x-ray machine, where all you have to do is stand and bite on this stick and your done a less than a minute. No more biting and gagging on those things they stick in your mouth. The first time I went, I expressed how worry I was about a few of my theet and Dr. Chew was kind and patient in listening each of my concerns.
