I'm usually quite a big fan of this place. The internet is quick, there's always a chair available and a comfy one at that, and it doesn't feel like you're in some seedy internet cafe, I don't know why I always have this association of seedy things going on in internet cafes, blame Hollywood! Anyways, the other day being too lazy to go into Trinity to print out a bunch of documents at 2 cent a piece, I convinced myself that it was actually much more cost effective to pop in here and print everything out. Ooops. It ended up costing me €20 for the lot of copying and when I did the math in my head it probably would have only cost me about €3 in college. So a word to the wise, if you're just printing out a boarding pass or something notta bother, but if you're planning on printing out some serious paper, you're gonna end up paying some serious paper (that's NY slang for yoyos)! read more

This handily located net café at the quieter end of Rathmines is open long hours,helpful for late night dashs to print out stuff as the nearest Internet place to me closes early. Their open 24 hours here for all you insomniacs. Net house is relatively cheap and clean with comfy chairs and clear flatscreen's at each internet station. An internet cafe's an internet cafe's an internet cafe. This one's open 24hrs a day and serves coffee, that's great and all, but hardly worthy of me dragging my lazy ass out of bed to write a review over. What is however worthy of review, and indeed commendation, is this story of superior chiefness in a time of great need. I was in here in the middle of the afternoon last week, doing my best to avoid other human beings, when I hear an old woman walk up to the counter. She's confused and in distress, her computer is on the blink. She knows the lads don't offer this service, but is wondering if they know anyone who might; she wants someone to call out and fix her computer. Indeed they don't offer that service, or know anyone who does, but they try to help nonetheless. She clearly isn't very computer literate, so they ask her to bring it in. She gets very anxious here so they spend a solid ten minutes talking about anything but the problem in order to calm her down. I can tell by her voice that she's very elderly, I didn't bother turning round because I hate people. And she couldn't possibly bring it in herself. First, one of them offers to pick it up after work, on his own time. Then the other makes a few phonecalls and decides that he can pick it up within the hour. And she goes away happy. I don't mention it when I'm paying for internet, three hours solid trolling no doubt. I don't even make contact. And I spent the rest of the day spitting on homeless people and kicking pigeons. But that's ok, because they're good peoples over at Net Cafe. And they more than compensate for the rest of us. read more

Meh. It's ok. All very very ok. Not jump-up-and-down outstanding. Not spit-it-out-awful. Pro's: - It's a nice clean space, you don't feel intimidated or like you're going to catch something if you sit down. - It's relatively cheap if you're there for a while. €6.80 for four hours is a great deal. - If you're a game head, it's open 24 hours, and there's a flat fee of €10 for the night - Printing is quick and easy and good value (15c per copy) - The dude behind the counter is a pleasant chap. Not overly friendly, but not Hannibal Lectar in the middle of Lent either. Con's: - If you're using the tinternet for a short time, it's expensive - €4 / hour. - It seems fairy old - my seat was nice and ripped (though surprisingly comfy...!) - My mouse drove me demented to the point of feeling like said Hannibal Lectar in Lent. It kept sticking and being very uncooperative, so I ended up going old school and using the tab button instead. What do you do when you have to submit an assignment online,your Laptop has just died and it's 6am? You go looking for the nearest 24h Internet Cafe of course- after breaking down in tears if you're anything like me... I've never used the phones in this place, but the internet was fast and the chairs comfy. They will let you print as well and with a student discount it's not even that expensive. The Nethouse has different rates for different times of the day as well, so if you have a choice, I'd recommend the early mornings before 10am. read more

I have a good wifi at home, so I rarely need to use internet cafés anymore, but when I was a student I printed out dozens of assignments here. They do charge a tiny bit more, but I preferred to spend a little extra to avoid the horrible campus queue. Time is money, right? I was always greeted by the same friendly faces and could rely on a fast connection, comfy leather chairs and a coffeehouse service (they make fine cappuccinos) while surfing the net every hour of the day. Comfortable, and have nice deals for overnight sessions. 10 euro. Or for 4 hours. Can't remember the figure for that. Clean and well maintained inside. 4 euro for an hour is a little pricey, however. Coffee and soft drinks available inside which is a big plus. There's an attitude problem with 2 of the staff. The rest of the gang up there are lovely. One is a middle aged gentleman who might be the manager, he's pretty short with people, and not overly pleasant, but OK. The other guy has a kind of 'cool' thang goin' on. Hipsterish...Looks at customers with contempt. Hard to fathom. All in all, a good resource. Comfortable and great deals for lengthier stays. Avoid! They have a scam going on for those who need to print something. Instead of the employee doing it (how it is in any store that offers printing), they make you use the computer, which they charge you for. So, instead of 0.15 per page, it's €1 (for the 30 seconds I used the computer) plus cost per page. read more

This place is a regular haunt for me for last minute printing and surfing and I always enjoy my visit. Staff are to a man friendly and obliging and are happy to help with anything you ask. Their prices are reasonable and they have some very good offers depending on when you're heading in there. However the down side is that their equipment is aged and most needs replacing. Keyboards have keys that are to sticky (I'm looking at you! The people who type like pounding dough), headphones that don't work and some in comfy chairs. Even with these faults it still beats everywhere else for internet that I've used so close to top marks! read more
