The gallery has a continuously changing stock of paintings, so it is always worth popping in to see what they have on the walls. It also has an interest in Scandinavian art, something of a rarity for galleries in the area. They also have a steady schedule of exhibitions, including Boaz Vaadia currently, and with Warhol, Henry Moore, Arman and Marquet as previous shows, you can sense the breadth of their collection. Friendly staff and a welcoming space.

I arrived shortly before 10am (opening time) to be greeted with a long queue outside. Thankfully the line moved pretty quickly and I was soon inside. The staff did say that the exhibition is extremely popular on Saturdays so it is probably advisable to get there as close to opening time as possible. As the exhibition contains several mirrored rooms, which visitors can go in individually or in small groups, you do end up queueing again to get into each one, although the staff are very helpful and good at limiting the time to keeping things moving (you get 20 seconds in the pumpkin room and a minute in the others). The art itself is very cool, the mirrored rooms are excellent and each provides a very different experience (and some great photo opportunities!) The garden is really relaxing with a big pond containing another installation. If you do visit, make sure you go and have a look at the paintings and also the Rana Begum 'The Space Between' exhibition which is equally beautiful. I really enjoyed this gallery and exhibition and will definitely be keeping an eye on the listings for future exhibitions at Victoria Miro Gallery.

As we can assume from the name of this establishment, the Saatchi Gallery is a midsize…read morespace/facility that can be host to very interesting installments. I was visiting Saatchi during their Flowers installations. The collection was just ok, could be better. Since there is admission fee I was expecting more art works on the view. Saatchi is accessible facility with walking distance to public transport. Crew at Saatchi are engaging and very helpful. With so many other galleries and museums in London, I wouldn't recommend visiting unless they have interesting artworks on view that compromise the entrance fee.

We spent almost four hours going through exquisite jewelry collections and learning about the company's history, designers and inspiration for their creativity. They are easily both visited in the same stop in the park. On my visit, there was a contemporary landscape exhibit in one gallery, which unfortunately for me was also currently being visited by a large group of elementary aged school children (there was a lot of shouting, by the students and the teachers/minders trying to keep them in line). That encouraged me to...not linger long, though I liked the style of the art on display. In the other gallery was a large-scale digital work by David Hockney, along with paintings on display in the inner rooms. I happened to visit early in the day of the day he actually passed away. Just an interesting coincidence, and I assume it likely that the gallery may have been much busier in subsequent days following the news. Both galleries have gift shops, and one has a cafe and small garden. Certainly worth a stop in if you are in the park, and especially in the summer if you need a dose of climate control for a few minutes.

I can't quite say that I "got" it. Several four-foot wide rolls of what looks like cardboard packing materials unrolled and stood on end to make a maze, with a few interesting sculptures including a standing Buddha that is staring into a mirror. Dulwich Picture Gallery opened in 1811 and was the world's first purpose-built public art gallery,…read moredesigned by Sir John Soane, to House a collection formerly at Dulwich College. The bulk of the collection was assembled by two London-based art dealers on a commission from the King of Poland, but the King's abdication in 1795 and their failure to find another buyer resulted in this astonishing collection of Old Masters being bequeathed to Dulwich College instead. Visitors can now enjoy an astonishing collection of Old Masters from the 17th and 18th Centuries set in the perfection of Soane's gallery: his deceptively sophisticated yet simple design became the model for galleries around the world since. Curation is simple and clear, and audio guides are also available. It's worth a couple of hours of anyone's time and has an excellent cafe and a small shop. The nearest railway station is West Dulwich: it's a 10 minute walk through Belair Park and along Gallery Road.

The LBI works on the basis of being a not-for-profit organisation, offering a broad annual arts…read morebased event programme and an ultramodern contemporary gallery space. Their aim is to showcase both well known and emerging artists, and to nurture the wider significance of the communitiy's creative society. If you turn off the main road just head for the imposing industrial looking building with the multicoloured facade ahead (it's impossible to miss). Each of the Edwardian windows on the three story building has a glowing light installation behind, giving a striking and often changing (as each can work independently from one another) show. The building itself is a massive visual spectacle. I've only ever visited for temporary exhibitions that are held on the ground floor in the swish gallery space. I really like the vast white walls and dark wooden floor whilst the different leveled ceiling gives it an interesting dimension. At the side of the gallery the Courtyard Cafe stays open until 6pm although a couple of times I've visited it's stayed open much later offering dark rum and brownies to accompany the late night events. This is the sort of touch that makes an exhibition that little bit more enjoyable. I don't usually head West for my exhibition fixes and from asking around I've found that few of my friends know about this lovely place. I've always been the first to take people and I'll continue to do so because it really is a little gem. The Foundation not only offers innovative exhibitions in a fantastic space, but it's constantly (and modestly) working away with London's artistic community to promote culture, creativity and education. This is something well worth celebrating in my book.

LTB is a bit off the beaten track and a little hard to find, but once you get here it's totally…read moreworth it. The space itself is pretty striking architecturally speaking with it's red brick exterior and arched windows. The interior is a beautifully designed state of the art white space. It's such a pleasure walking around viewing art in such a spacious building. They often have interesting workshops here which you can find out about on their website! When you are done with the art you can hang out in the cafe lit by skylights, sip coffee and talk about art. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

This is a great commercial gallery on Old Burlington Street and is well worth a visit right now to…read moresee the show by the American artist Jennifer Rubell: "Engagement". We dropped by on Saturday afternoon and apart from the lovely staff we had the place to ourselves. This struck me as being quite strange given that we had passed hordes of people at the bottom of the street queuing to get into the Abercrombie and Fitch store; strange times we live in. There are two exhibition spaces in this modern building situated in the heart of Mayfair with an open plan office space in between. The gallery is home to a range of contemporary artists and there is usually something of interest on show. The Rubell show left me quite giddy and I would recommend that you try to drop by before it ends on 5 March. In the front room you have a life sized wax model of Prince William mounted off centre on a plinth. The idea is that you step on up, put your arm through his, and slip your finger into the engagement ring pinned onto his suit jacket. Just brilliant: lots of fun and a weird riff on the whole royalty, Prince Charming thing. In the back room it gets even better with the "drinking paintings" which took some inspiration from the official engagement picture of William and Kate (I think the size of the canvas matches that of the picture behind them in the photograph). Each raw canvas has a brass spigot protruding from it and to one side there is a plastic cup dispenser and the idea is that you pour yourself a drink. This action gradually "paints" the canvas with a series of splashes and drips. This Saturday I enjoyed a good sized nip of Sloe Gin, Irish Whiskey and a fine Rum. This is my kind of modern art and I will be popping back next week.

I really struggled to decide whether to give this gallery 2 or 3 stars. I was really looking…read moreforward to going to the Stephen Friedman Gallery because I had hears so much about it. I have decided not to let my disappointed high expectations sway my vote and have decided to go with 3 stars instead of 2. There are two sections to the gallery one open to the public one across the street by appointment only. But you don't really need to go in because it is set up to be viewed from outside and is a unique window display. The gallery does display insightful and challenging work, and exhibits at Freeze Art Fair. I just didn't manage to go one a day that coincided with the reputation of the gallery.
