I will definitely have to bring a friend and come back for that. The very nice lady I spoke to that works there said it keeps the customers around for a bit longer lol.. pretty smart plan if you ask me! I walked further into the store and they have all kinds of clothing and things for the person that enjoys the outdoors.. prices were not bad at all and with sale going on made it even better. Nice floating dock where you can sit and have lunch while you listen to the area's birds sing the favorite songs. This boat ramp is a small one without much activity. There are no picnic tables, so we sat on the fishing benches on the dock to enjoy our lunch. Also, this is a very rustic launch with no bathrooms, so be prepared to hold it. If you're in the area and want to get away for a quick break, Cow Pen is a nice little oasis.

It was obvious business is well liked as customers drove their bikes straight in store for service and seemed to have a great rapport with all. Took out my bike this morning and very happy with performance and felt the instructions Steve gave left me pretty knowledgeable for a first ride. After breaking down while traveling south in the ICW we were towed into Deaton's yard. At first it…read moreseemed like the old automobile tow truck routine where the tower gets kickbacks and has a "buddy" that will repair your car, or maybe I've lived too long and have become naturally suspicious. But after my experience at Deaton I have to apologize for even thinking that. I have been in boat yards all over the world, from Cherbourg to Newport to Oahu and have never encountered a more competent, knowledgeable and friendly crew of people. I might add they were very fair in their pricing of the repair and it never seemed as if they were holding us hostage because we were broken down (as so many auto shops are wont to do, to continue the automobile analogy one step further). The diagnosis was quick, parts were over- nighted and the repair was complete within a bit more than 24 hours. A loaner was available during the repair and dockage rates while the repair was ongoing were more than reasonable.
