Outside of knowing a few drink recipes and types of liquors, I went into the class just wanting to take it for fun and learn something new. Ms Lana is an amazing instructor. She has a ton of knowledge and made me feel comfortable behind the bar. This is not a lecture only course which I loved. You're getting hands on experience with learning how to pour, bar etiquette, and maintenance. Although you're practicing with colored water, the material comes so much easier when you're actually doing it. The class was around $300 for 2 weeks with day and night options. I felt like that was a great value and took away a lot from the class. On the second week you have shot night where both classes come together and learn how to layer and pour shots with real liquor. That was easily my favorite night of the course. On the last day, you take a written test and "graduate" with your TAM card. I tell people regularly about this course and how it is a core memory of my Vegas experiences.

I know what a scam looks like but hey good job trying to twist words to make it look like a "misunderstanding". And anyone can look at the accounts of those 5 star reviews. It doesnt take a lot to realize that theyre fake accounts. Where accounts that look like mine who have left negative reviews about how they were scammed out of their money are clearly real humans. Dont waste your time and money on online bartending courses because most bars wont accept online certification anyways. Have the day you deserve!

We described this to the instructor and organization on a few pre-appointment calls. On the day of: -The instructor showed up over an hour late for the appointment -The instructor said they were in pain from recent surgery, and showed their surgery staples -The instructor forgot to bring the tools and training liquids that we were told they'd bring for the lesson -The instructor was confused that I was not training to be a bartender, said they did not know what to do if I wasn't going to be a bartender. -After 30 minutes of awkward conversation, the instructor left. -But not without asking if we could give them gas money. Since the above could not be described as a worthwhile lesson, we called the organization to ask for a refund. Since asking for a refund: -The organization has refused every request for a refund, saying they would be forced to impose a 'cancellation fee' which would eat the refund. -The organization has missed deadlines they told us they would respond to us by. -THE INSTRUCTOR CALLED US TODAY ASKING WHY THE ORGANIZATION HASN'T PAID THEM. So Local Bartending School scammed us and an employee of their own. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The day event was horrible and disappointing. I thought we were getting a Nicole and we got Dayna instead. We had a list of items to buy and purchased it all. When she arrived she was googling how to make a margarita. This was our first clue this was not going to go well. A relative stepped in and showed her how. As well as showed her how to cut strawberries to garnish the cups. He helped her cut strawberries, pineapples and limes too. Was she not provided a menu in advance? Did she not know what she was responsible for? She didn't know the basics at all. She asked if I had mixes for the margaritas. I told her I had purchased the ingredients to make them from scratch but did have mixes from a previous event. She used mixes. So much money spent on ingredients that were not used. She forgot a bottle opener and we had to provide her one as well. She learned how to make strawberry margaritas from my relative and that's what she served the entire night. I as a host asked her for a margarita at about 6:15 and as she was going around asking my guests who wanted a second strawberry margarita. I told her I hadn't even had my first drink. She gave me one sitting on the bar stating I can take that one it was extra. We had shots and she served them but if you know they go with salt and a wedge of lime. She served the alcohol only. We had to ask for the other ingredients. When I passed the bar I explained she should keep her area neat and tidy as she had plenty of counter space and this is what I like to see. She cleaned it up. Her menu was strawberry margaritas, opening beers, and serve shots and soda. There was no creativity and the drinks were inconsistent as well. Later in the night I asked for a pina colada she asked what I wanted in it. I told her the pina colada mix and rum. It was served on the rocks with a pineapple wedge. How did she not know how to make this? She asked if she can go on a five minute break I told her of course. She spent about 15 minutes taking to my guest who had helped her earlier. Then she mentioned she was going on a break he told her she should go as she needs to serve drinks. She went. Watching her I thought she was on break the entire time. She was nice, was complimenting my family and how much fun she had. At the end of the night she went around and picked a little and told me she did. She asked if she was ok to leave. I told her yes. Nothing was washed my blender was dirty and still had left over strawberry margarita in it. Cut limes, strawberries and pineapples and left them in bowls at the end of the night. Overall she looked frazzled and disheveled a s if this was her first time and when she got the hang of strawberry margarita that's what we had. Honestly for the amount of money we paid for this service it was not worth it. I expected someone to come in and take charge of a bar, engage with guests and serve from scratch drinks and especially look out for the hostess (me). I am sorry but this was not the experience I was expecting and was so not worth the money we paid.
