Literally the nicest employees you hate hating because the bank is so disconnected and does not listen to their customers or their employees. Just spent an entire day dealing with the fallout from an accidental NSF, because the bank AI decided it was more profitable to ignore my call several days ago asking for the bank NOT to do a courtesy and pay the check even though I have made a point to NOT be enrolled in the overdraft program. NSB did it anyway and I just spent the entire day on hold with the bank and the State of Nevada trying to figure out how to unscrew my trust account. Also, the Regional Manager, Maria Montelongo, could not even be bothered to call me and had her assistant call instead to say the computer caused the problem and I should stop wasting my time complaining. going down hill as fast as the woke government.....been with NSB for 18 years, but since the woke world took over this bank has been horrible, atms are broken and not repaired. The online banking site was redone and is horrible....the categories of sending payments were left out, and i paid the same bills twice as. the payments were hidden until the next month.. getting back overpayments caused the receivers to charge me for returned checks. really sick of this bank going elsewhere read more

Very disappointed Until today I was very happy with this bank. Recently I was in a accident and I am now in a wheel chair. I now have to use the mobile app for my banking. Today I went to open the app and there was a new user agreement that prevented me from opening it. I read it and I did not understand some of it. I called this branch ( the one I opened my accounts) to ask some questions. The lady told me that other people have called about this. She told me that is was not a scam just click agree. STOP AND READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!!! My wife opened an account at this bank a few years before we were a married couple and living together. I went into this bank to make a "Payment" on the account on her behalf. My wife told me she never received the monthly statement by mail for the amount due and asked if I would stop by and pay it, because she would be at work before and after the bank opens and closes. On 10.10.24 at roughly 3:00pm today, I arrived at the Craig & Clayton location to pay the bill. Upon being asked to approach the counter for service. I advised the employee of why I was there to make a payment and informed her my wife did not receive the monthly statement, but I had information needed to identify the account holder. The employee looked at me and folded her arms on the counter and said, "I can't help you with the payment, we are unable to do that without the statement". Questioning her reply I re-stated my business there was simply to make a payment, not withdraw funds from the account. She rolls her eyes as she looks me off and askes another woman seated at another window and asks her for confirmation. The other employee replied, "No we can't, it's our policy". I then reiterated I was here to make the payment Not withdraw and questioned the accuracy of what I was being told, while offering to show my ID for proof of address. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, which happened to be the other employee seated nearby. She then identifies herself as the supervisor and repeats the same, and says "Well, your wife is not here so we can't help you". I then called my wife via video call, who is at work might I add, at which time my wife attempted to speak to the supervisor who started shaking her head "No" even while my wife was trying to show her ID. Still shaking her head no, the supervisor stated to my wife "you are not here so we can't help you" before she started to walk away. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed at the sheer lack of willingness to offer any kind of customer service. For the past few years, we have sent one of our adult children to make the payment with the statement, without issue. I entered this same location for the first time just a few months ago to make the payment with a copy of the statement and was asked to show my ID. The employe kept looking at me like I had done something wrong, she took my ID, walked away with it and had a secret conversation with another employee before processing the payment. I called and asked the kids if they have ever had to show their ID when they went to make the payment, and was told no, not ever did they ask for ID from either of them. I would really hate to label this location, but if my wife had been sick and unable to make the payment and or the kids were not available, the idea is to disregard what good customer service means, fold your arms and refuse to assist? I'm not talking about trying to take money out, because clearly that would have totally different implications, but making a payment? Not withdrawing money...making a payment!! Because of your lack of customer service, my wife had to leave work early to drive to the closest location to make the payment before the bank closes. You have not only waisted our time but costed us money as well. And upon making the payment at the other location, she called me before speaking to the bank supervisor about what had happened to me at the other location. She asked him if it was a policy of the bank to refuse to help a me in that situation and he replied, "It is not a bank policy, and just depends on the employees willingness to help the customer, and noted in that situation, the bank supervisor should have been willing to assist me in making the payment, upon identifying myself with valid ID, with the same address. "He also stated, of course it would have been different if I was trying to access account information for withdrawal, but there should not have been an issue with making a payment". This bank sucks, and we have discussed refinancing with another bank by months end!! We now see why the ratings are low and there is literally never anyone in their branch locations. The lazy and inconsistent customer service will see this company go bankrupt for sure! read more

I'm appalled at how they do business ! I just recently had my first experience of my checking account ever having insufficient funds! Calls to my local branch were useless. It seems for all scheduled bill pays, if there is a problem, you have to contact a company that services multiple banks, tell them the name of your bank (Nevada State Bank) and go through the whole story about how it got to insufficient funds due to no fault of your own. To add insult to injury, anything you find out through contact from the "Online Account Help" isn't included in any record NSB has access to. I have waited since 12/23/22 to resolve this issue because NSB holds insufficient funds notification "tickets" from the Online Account Help" for 24 - 48 hours. Unfortunately in my case, NSB was closed 12/24 - 12/26 for Christmas. Where I thought it would be resolved by 12/27, I found out on that date, I still had negative funds listed and once again called the Online Account Help only to find out, it would take 24 hours for my account to be resolved !!! You also can't schedule a bill pay for any weekend date or federal holiday and if you unfortunately schedule all your bills for the month, they basically put a hold on your account for the total month's bills. It's only a problem if you only have more than 1 deposit per month and it doesn't cover the total of that month's bills. I'm sure they have covered themselves by having something in their checking account laws (which no one I know ever reads through !!!). In 50 years of banking, I have never faced such anger and frustration with a bank ! Stay as far away from NSB as you can !!! read more

This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They wouldn't let me into my mother's lock box after she died. Only my brother was on the list. He okayed me both over the phone and in person but they would only open the box if the two of us came in together. This was very inconvenient for us since we live in different states and don't usually go to Vegas at the same time. The employees were very nasty to me and I ended up leaving in tears! This is not like me under ordinary circumstances. My mother had a personal banker there for years who knew me but he refused to talk with me when I came in. I call and speak to Martha. I asked a basic question on opening an account. She didn't have the answer. I asked three times and all she did was avoid a question. Do you do a credit check for opening a checking account. How does she not know. I'm only asking as I'm refinancing my home and don't want to get dinged. I ask for a manager. She leaves me on hold for 10 minutes and never connects me or checks on me. I hang up n call back and I get her again. Said she's busy. That nice. But it doesn't excuse your bad customer service!! Have her my name and number for the boss to call me. Did I get a call? Nope! Horrible service. Untrained employees. Take your business elsewhere like I did. Pathetic. Notice all the other reviews are older when the previous management was there. We have multiple commercial accts with NSB for over a decade, when we walk in everyone knows us & this branch was great when Netty was there. The new manager Maria is a nightmare! She is rude, condescending, & actually talks fast & over you as you are speaking. She doesn't explain anything just snaps at you. She also has a new drive up teller who is nice but he admits he doesn't speak good English since he's from Europe. He told me he could not understand what I was saying so why on earth would you put him on drive thru where he has to use those speakers? Maria has no clue what she is doing! We have told all our subcontractors not to go there as well to cash our checks. I have to drive further away now to visit another branch where service is great like it use to be. read more

I called this bank, and spoke with an actual human instead of a computer system telling me to select options. I knew right then that was the bank for me. We met with 2 new accounts representatives, a merchant advisor, and the branch manager to get our new personal and business accounts set up.
