We initially went to Community Veterinary Clinc (CVC) because we thought she would have to be sedated. However the groomers took the time need to gain her trust, so they were able to do a full groom. Not only were they able to accomplish this WITHOUT sedation, but they gave her the best haircut she has had in a long time. My wife and I are extremely pleased and satisfied with the groomers at CVC. Dori came home perfectly groomed and HAPPY! The staff throughout the entire experience were welcoming and friendly. They were professionals without the snobbish attitude of some office staff. They only showed a genuine interest in you and your pets welfare. Would definitely recommend them to anyone, any time.

Do you love animals?…read more Of course you do! You have a Yelp account - which means you area living, breathing person; which means you have a soul (depending on your belief.) ((I'm not here to judge people, just places and sometimes things.)) If you not only love animals, but have animals, you may know the stress of going to a new/different veterinary clinic. I have utilized the same clinic since I was a child. I'm not going to tell you my birthday. It will just depress me, and I'm in 'positive review mode'. After much though, and tired of traveling over 90 miles one-way for small vet appointments like shots & check-ups, I decided it was time to take myself off the leash of nostalgia/hometown comfort. I decided to find a new vet that was near my home. I entered this process with skepticism and with little help from Yelp. (Not by their fault, but no one had left a review for the clinics I was considering.) I decided to use this new adventure as a reviewing opportunity. One that I do not regret! Community Vet Clinic is a fairly new establishment in the town that I live. I love their mission statement and dedication to community outreach that is pointed out on their profile. When I entered I was greeted promptly and with a friendly/welcoming demeanor. The vet, Dr. Pleis, was right up front to ask me questions and greet me and my pup. She had a staff member take my dog outside to try and get a sample while she explained to me what they planned to do in the check-up. She spoke with words that I could nod and understand; not just nod and think of different kinds of food I wanted to try after this visit. When they got ready to check out my dog's situation, the vet asked me if I would like to be in the room during the check-up. This was never something I had been asked before. Granted, most of my dog's check-ups are 'drop-off and leave' or during boarding. This was a nice little gesture. I accepted because it was my dog's first time here and it would be good to see how Dr. Pleis interacted with my pet. Dr. Pleis was incredibly gentle, kind, and kept open communication with her assisted staff and the dog itself. Even if my dog was noticeable uncomfortable, she would use soothing tones/language. She would use praise between shifts of body/areas of checking. After she got what she needed, she left briefly to review her samples. This took at a LOT more quickly than I thought it would! Dr. Pleis returned with results, a treatment plan, and also explained to me what I may expect. Again, she used a language I could comprehend. I was at the counter, checking out, in under 30 minutes! Lastly, she smiled, thanked me, and gave Luna a 'cookie' for being a good sport. Overall, this was an absolute, 100%, great experience. Not only did I feel reassured and comfortable, confident in Dr. Pleis's treatment plan but...ABOVE ALL... I think I found a vet I can take my dog too that is 9 blocks, not 90 miles, away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF: Truthfully, just in general, I recommend Dr. Pleis for your vet care needs. I would say, especially though, if you are like me. I was born & raised & accustomed to a 'small town' or 'rural' vet approach. The kind of place where you know the doctor by name. Where its feel is one of community service rather than a hospital or company operation. I really loved Dr. Pleis's set-up and approach and look forward to going to her continuously for my dog's care. (....I still will stop by my hometown one though...I mean, you need to say 'hi' once in awhile) :)

No frills; just a quiet farm where, if you'd like, you can have the dogs run around. The animals are verified for health before being allowed to board, so no need to worry about your loved ones getting sick while you're gone. The location is a little out of the way; you have to go down Sand Hill Trail, a gravel road, for a couple miles. But it's well worth the trip. Pick-up and drop-off during weekdays is before 7AM and 5-7 PM, which can be tough, but on the upside they are open Sundays 12-6PM (closed Saturday). The rates are great too, $8 per day (call to confirm); SO much better than a certain location on 580th that charged me $800 for a two weeks to board a dog and cat! Becky is a veterinarian, and her children are always there too. Wonderful people!

We'll never take Charley anywhere else. The ranch is clean, is run efficiently, and is the perfect spot for our baby to spend a wknd. The rates are also completely reasonable! Try it out for yourself!

After reading other reviews, I am rather confused as to other people's experiences. Mary has always been overly friendly and helpful to both my husband and myself, regardless if I am bringing in our pets for a routine visit, stopping in for flea meds, or calling to inquire about when pets are due for annual visits. Dr. May is a great vet and has an obvious love and care for animals. When my first cat was not acting right, I called the clinic to find it was closed. The after hours voicemail offers Dr. May's personal cell phone, so I was able to text and call him. He even asked me to send him a video of what my cat was doing and was then able to refer me to a 24-hour clinic once we determined that there was a somewhat serious issue happening. Prices are very comparable to any other vet and I have found are even quite a bit less expensive after speaking with friends in the Carroll, IA area. Highly recommend!

I had called many different places on 4/28/26, but it was after hours for most places, so I had to wait until the next morning. After calling a bunch of different places and hearing outrageous prices, I was able to find All Pets Animal Hospital, and I'm really glad that I did. The person I spoke with was very kind and understanding, and the price for cremation was under $300. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a caring and understanding smile, and she had mentioned that she remembered we spoke on the phone earlier that morning. She treated us with compassion and patience. My Mom had carried her cat in with her blankets, and the woman behind the desk (unfortunately, I can't remember her name because this was a tough day for all of us) gently received my Mom's cat as well as the blankets. My Mom had asked if the blankets could go with her cat, and the kind woman said she would ask and try to make sure that the blankets go with her for cremation. We received all information very clearly, and the transaction was as painless as possible in that type of situation. We will be receiving my Mom's cat back in a velvet bag, and we were assured that this would be a private cremation; meaning she will only be cremated by herself and not with other animals. Overall, this is definitely somewhere that I would bring my animals. This is a place that makes you feel comfortable and cared about.

They do a great job of explaining every procedure they do and are very reasonably priced. I took my pet there to be neutered and was offered superior care, including pain medication and antibiotics as needed. This facility even works with veterinary students and closely supervises very minor procedures that they do , which is entirely legal and even encouraged by the veterinary colleges. It is very obvious that the staff truly loves pets and has their best interests at heart. All Pets even sees exotics and has a veterinarian who is very specialized and highly regarded in that respect. What else can I say?
