Vinyls, children's books, trendy books, classic books, games, puzzles, antique/vintage books, autographed books....a huge range of items that we never expected from just looking at the store front. The workers here are very rude. I've had multiple bad experiences here. And FYI they aren't dog friendly despite there being no signs. Definitely go to another bookstore that has friendly staff. read more

I can not drive through a town that has a small bookstore without stopping. I have to browse, because you never know what treasures are hidden away. Plus, bookstores smell really nostalgic. Because of the pandemic, we were immediately greeted with hand sanitizer. Happy to comply, because how can you shop for books without touching them? There were many shelves of local books, collectible books, and random books that caught my eye. They also had several large bins of vinyl records that needed to be looked through. Service was friendly and welcoming, and I would gladly come back again the next time I'm in town. read more

Never more Books is a dreamy independent bookstore and one of my favorite spots in Beaufort! It has moved from the original location on Craven St to it's new location on Port Republic. And although they don't have the gorgeous arched windows and cool brick building, it hasn't lost any of its charm. The shop has a bit of a magical quality mixed with a '70's cool/gothic vibe; think Shakespeare at Hogwarts listening to the Grateful Dead. I always find a wonderful new read from the curated collection and the owners are welcoming and extremely helpful. Definitely stop in and pick up your next literary adventure! read more

I was so impressed with this place. What a cool little store! Very well laid out with a great variety of options for such a small space and of course the ability to order anything you may want as well. There was a friendly lady working there the day we visited who was willing to answer any question we had about her shop. It was so nice in there and you could tell that the shop was well taken care of and locally owned. I think the only thing this place was missing was a cat laying around in some corner somewhere. Awesome shop, will return and will recommend. Leave the kids at home as this is not a space for them to be running around in or to try and navigate one of those strollers through. read more

Found this quaint spot after catching lunch around the corner. Immediately we were caught by the beautiful arched windows and side entrance. Before evening opening the door, I said to my husband, "oh, this place is cool!" My opinion remained unchanged once we stepped in; this bookstore is beautifully curated. From the airy, high ceilings to the assortment of both old and new releases, this place is nothing but charm. We were allowed to browse, unbothered, and spent the better part of an hour picking out books ranging from new holistic medicine to some weirdo 1980s thing called 'The Whole Whog' with a forward by Chevy Chase. A great range of classics, hard-to-finds, and new releases. We really enjoyed ourselves here and will be back during our future visits to Beaufort. read more

Nevermore is one of the most interesting book stores I've ever visited. Top hats, gargoyles, and of course, ravens are among the curiosities sharing the shelves with an intelligent collection of books. I wish I had taken photos inside, but the outside is a great teaser. This is my favorite independent bookstore. I stop by every time I'm in town. Whoever selects their books has great taste. Last two times I was there I found great looking hardcovers by Barry Hannah and Steven Millhasuer. Just wonderful stuff. read more

Very disappointed. We walked in here with the probable intention to buy books. We have tons and tons of books at home. We Love books. The lady greetedt us very rudely saying my sister's mask was not covering the top of her nose ( not sure how this can allow the virus to infect anyone, covering orifices is understandable but the top of the nose? ) Anyways she complied immediately. Then I picked up a book, clean hands, discreetly and respectfully to be told " that is not for sale , put it back please" I had a flashback of Julia Roberts trying to buy clothes in the movie " pretty woman" Enough of this prison guard. We stepped out and went to Mc Intosh bookshop right around the corner. That lady was trusting, friendly, great selection of books old and new plus a fun table outside full of diverse books We ended buying 300$ worth of books combined Her loss and mine as I am sure she had some nice books Very disappointing. read more

I'm glad we decided to pop our heads in here on Easter weekend. I would have spent much longer if I weren't with three other people. The selection is great. They had a decent amount of signed books, which was nice. I bought myself a newer book and my aunt book a book for me as a birthday gift. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a classic for a Christmas gift for my sister, but perhaps it will still be there when I come back to Beaufort. Fingers crossed. read more

One of my favorite bookstores in the world. The gorgeous space combines my love of books, eclectic Gothic Victoriana, and beautiful architecture. In other words, it's exactly what I would design myself if I owned a bookstore. Every time I stop in, I find something new that I can't resist, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, with exceptional taste. I'm moving away from Beaufort next week, and a last stop to Nevermore Books is near the top of my list of things to do before I leave. read more

I love books. So when I saw this little bookstore I ditched my family to browse it. It's very small but very organized and the owner was super sweet and friendly. She had a variety of first editions and signed copies. She also had a good selection of vinyl records that I spent some time browsing. She had a wonderful children's section also. There were other customers in the store and the owner took her time to speak and greet every one of them. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in here. I will when I return to the area! read more
