The store had a wide variety of everything: art, home furnishings, clothing for men and women, some vintage pieces, jewelry, and accessories. There were also books, and lots of things to explore and examine! We found several items that we needed/wanted and the quality of the merchandise was much higher than we would typically find at a Goodwill or other type of shop. In addition she takes card payment through Square and shoppers can use Visa, American Express, Mastercard at the shop! We also had the opportunity to meet Mary, the owner and proprietress of this minority-owned (female/African American) small business. Mary answered all our questions and allowed us to browse without interfering in our shopping experience but was mindful and observant of the things that we were looking for. She unobtrusively offered valuable suggestions when asked if certain items were in-stock and knowledgably directed us to the things she had that we wanted. When we spoke with Mary, she said she has been in the mall for about a year and would love to welcome you to visit her and see what she has to offer. She takes quality consignments as well. As a last effort to keeping my business local, I made an appointment with White Willow. When I arrived, I was greeted by the store owner Kelli and she asked what type I was looking for and showed me the dresses. She made suggestions and let me and my group pick them out. The store was beautiful inside, with a very upscale feel. I was feeling unsure because of the sizing on the dresses I had already tried. I had already been to other stores where none of the dresses would zip or come close to zipping and was forced to come out with a completely open back and show people and look in the mirror and "pretend" that it would be perfect in another size. I was pleased to see that at White Willow the dress sizes started at 12 and went up, and had different styles mixed on the rack. You didn't have to go to a certain "section" based on your size. After trying on the 1st dress with Kelli, I knew this place was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and I was soon able to relax and enjoy trying on dresses. And the dresses! Are gorgeous, quality gowns that are quite true to size. I am a size 14-16 and I was able to zip or almost zip all dresses that I tried on near that size range. And the ones that wouldn't quite zip, Kelli pulled together and made them feel like they fit. Out of 6 dresses I found my perfect one, and actually bought it off the rack that night because for once, it fit! Kelli was very professional, both in her appearance and knowledge for wedding dresses. She took her time to make sure I found what I wanted and needed. Appointments at White Willow are also private, so you have the undivided attention you deserve as a bride. AND After I said yes to my dress, we celebrated with complimentary wine!
