My husband passed away on March 17, 2024. Of course soon after I received a bereavement letter naming all the resources I could reach out to. Fine. Here is what IS NOT FINE: They continue to send me letters about once a month. At first I just threw them in the trash and thought perhaps someone had mistakenly sent me additional ones in error. After about 4 months I decided to call them and ask them to please, please stop sending them because it is painful to continue to get them because it just brings up the pain since we were married for 57 years! They assured me that they would stop. Guess what? They did not stop! So, I finally wrote them a letter strongly suggesting that they stop sending them. New year and guess what I got today??? Another letter! I called and this time I told them to lose my husband's name on their records or else the next letter I get I won't be calling them - my lawyer will be and I will be suing for harassment!

The facility and the grounds are immaculate and the nurses are Angels from Heaven. The Chapel was most comforting and I so appreciated the fact that I could bring our baby (5 lb 11 yo Chihuahua) to be with him was beyond my comprehension. As it was being built, bible verses were written on the beams throughout and you could feel the love and compassion from every direction. I am blessed to have been in such a wonderful Hospice. It made my sorrow and experience tolerable. I cannot recommend this location enough. God bless this place and everyone within it's walls.

The facility is new and unbelievably accommodating for families together both in the patient room and in other areas such as the chapel, eatery, movie theater and lounge room. As for the staff, I cannot even express how amazingly comforting and supportive they are. our entire family was met with hugs and love from the nurses, care counselor and Chaplin. We were aloud to have the time we needed to process everything and properly say goodbye without all of the tubes, wires, noises and hurriedness of a conventional hospital.

Houston Hospice - Diamond Team, lasted a week before I had to fire them and find another hospice…read morethat could provide end of life care for my mother. To begin, their intake nurses are rough, belligerent and detached. The lady we got could care less about my mother, she just wanted to do the minimum and get out. Not a single commitment was upheld, not one. We called for support and help four times in the first week and the average time to hear back from someone was two hours, then another two hours for a nurse to arrive. So if you have an emergency, just call the ambulance and have the hospital take care of it, it's faster, and your loved one will suffer less. Now, as a result of me firing them, they became hostile, threatened to make me pay for equipment they left behind and failed to retrieve. They never took into consideration that my mom had died and their employees, having missed the appointment to pick up the equipment, lied and said a dead woman was preventing them from getting it. We choose to go with another company who was hands down better suited for caring for end of life patients. Houston Hospice is a money game, you are a dollar sign, if you are cool with that, then use them.
