They will speak loudly during the sermon, try to carry on a conversation with you during the sermon, compare what the minister did/said during his 8:00 versus his 11:15 sermons, distract you, make you give up your chair for people who arrive more than an hour late for service (when you are deep into the message and are in need of it) then make you seem like you are the problem, etc. There is a disconnect. I've noticed this problem when there is a Black manager in charge of people who don't take him or their jobs seriously. They sabotage him.

Mooresville campus is a huge church, but you can also join a small group to meet friends or couples. The theme is that everyone is welcome, so the atmosphere is laid back with casual dress. It's not a stuffy church, everyone is very friendly. The music is loud but also wonderful. This isn't your old school hymnal book music, so be prepared for that. The messages are always down to earth and relatable. The Cove is a wonderful church simply trying to spread God's word and to invite everyone in.

I can't speak for everyone and being a member for such a long time means I'm in a position to be biased but my differences in my identify and spiritual journey have never stood in the way of me being accepted by the people in my life. I will say if you're new it may take a few visits for people to come up and say hi but there's no shortage of people willing to help and meet you if you're willing to stop on by!
