The attention and care that I received was 10 star from the beginning to the end. Starting from the administrative staff through the nurses, aides, dietitians, activity director right to the maintenance dept., the care was unsurpassed! When I left I felt I was leaving part of my family. I cannot put into words the gratitude that I feel. Their hearts are in YOUR best interest even though you may not always agree.... Aultman Hospital doctors were in the wrong for calling Hospice and so was my fiance's brother.I have people in my family who have survived brain damage and heart conditions.My fiance' had already filed for his retirement.These people had tried lying to my face when i was at the hospital and saw them talk John's brother into having his fluid Ivs removed before he was to be transferred to The Truman House in New Phila,Ohio.Doing the right thing for John would've been having kinship transferred to me and having him sent to a nursing home to recover or letting John be sent home so he could've been cared for in his own home with me. Park Village is by far the nicest, cleanest, and friendliest nursing home facility in the area. The…read morestaff is very friendly and caring. The building itself is well maintained and never has that "nursing home" odor, like the majority of the others. My mother has been there for over 2 years now, and she never complains either. She likes all the staff, and she says the food isn't half bad either. They also have activities almost every day to keep the residents entertained, and busy. My father also spent a little bit of time there when he had a hip replacement. The therapy team did a wonderful job, and got him back on his feet in no time! Overall, if you're looking for a place for a loved one to stay, or recuperate after a recent surgery, I highly recommend this facility.

He still had bruises and cuts as he relayed his story. He was the one who was injured and the hospital was friendly toward him, until they found out that it was domestic violence, he was the actual the victim and they didn't asked the full story and assumed he was at fault, they were rude and even hurt him on purpose. The place has gone down hill since Cleveland took over. I know some of the staff and this is not about the departments, because I know they're good people, but the way they treat the elderly is inhumane. They give them a substandard of care and pretty much experiment on people they believe are dying without informing their family what is going on. My friend's mom passed away in an horrific way because she believed that a Cleveland Clinic would be the best place for her, if she had gone to the smaller hospital she might have been transferred to another place, because they're understaffed, but she would have at least gotten compassionate care.

Do all of your care takers disrespectfully label your residents as 'children'? Is it also common…read morefor care takers to cut corners in order to 'speed up the process' of care, so smoke breaks can be had? Residents aren't getting the attention they require or respectfully deserve due to people that are 'just there to collect a paycheck'. This is why seniors and family members hesitate to send their loved ones to these death centers. Your caretakers need to remember, they will at one time require the same care as they age. Train your people properly and teach them to respect those who trust them to care for them.
