My BF had inherited some gold coins, 25 silver dollars and a pile of other coins from around the world. We looked on Yelp, and decided to go there to see what we would be offered. They are practicing Covid precautions, with everyone wearing a mask and socially distancing. It's a small shop, so only 2 -3 people can be in there at the same time. David, the owner was extremely knowledgeable and was able to look up and give us a price on the gold coins. With all the other coins, he counted them and looked them up and gave us what it was worth. He was very professional, and answered any questions we had. It was a good experience and I would definitely go back to him if I needed to sell coins again. read more

I received some of the best customer service I've ever experienced when I visited New England Coin Exchange today. I came in to sell a coin and Dave, the owner, went out of his way to be welcoming and helpful. He had difficulty identifying it and offered to send it out to be tested at no charge so that it's value could be determined. He lives up to what he says on the website about wanting any transaction to be a good deal for both him and for the buyer/seller, because that is how to guarantee repeat business. I would recommend New England Coin Exchange to anyone who is looking to buy coins, and especially to those who want to sell as I did. I have worked in customer service and retail for more than twenty five years and can easily tell who is good at it. I've never seen anyone better than Dave is. I worked with the owner, David, on the recommendation of my friend who also bought a diamond from him. Dave was so knowledgeable and his experience in the jewelry field was evident. He is also GIA certified so he can provide a legit appraisal for insurance later on. He took the time to teach me the important aspects of diamonds and was able to set me up and facilitate designing a custom ring. Its a daunting process but Dave knows his stuff and made it easy. Even though I wasn't there for this reason, he shared a lot with about some of the valuable coins and taught me a few things, which I found fascinating. Rude & DISRESPECTFUL! A simple phone call asking what they pay for silver ended up with the jerk hanging up on me. I was very nice to him. If you ask to many questions they don't like it. They want dumb customers not intelligent people to buy and scam! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOUR DESPERATE!
